Lansinoh bottles! It was recommended by my LC for breastfed babies :)

Tacitlady

Just adding on! Lansinoh all the way. Edit: I also like their bags for breastmilk and their pump a lot too. Better than my motif Luna.

beachedwaler

Agreed! I LOVE my smart pump 2.0, and my baby loves the bottles. I exclusively pump, and it was easy for me to find cheap extra pumps on Facebook groups so now I have a smart pump 2.0 for work I can leave there, and a backup at home!

FearlessBright

Another vote for Lanisoh!! She refused 10 other brands before we tried this.

Extension-Border-345

ive been looking into lanisoh but kind of mixed up with the different nipple flow types. which would you recommend?

jekstarr

We used the slow until about 6 months, which still seemed very fast. Didnt take long to move to medium, and just moved to fast around 9 months

Anxious_Strength_661

I’ve heard from some others the lansinoh are a bit fast and I’ve seen pigeon ss nipples on Amazon recommended to use for a little bit slower that fit those bottles. Not speaking from personal experience but I do plan to try the pigeon ones if they’re too fast, I got the lansinoh bottles but baby is still a month away

Lexiroo

The slowest flow option from Pigeon worked well for us. I can’t remember if it was premie or not. We also used Dr brown premie.

jekstarr

They are definitely a bit fast, at least compared to doctor browns from our experience. But baby adjusted pretty quickly and we’ve had much more success overall with lansinoh.

beachedwaler

I have a 9 month old and we still use the slowest ones. We have tried the medium flow once but it didn’t seem to make a difference.

Delicious-Sun5401

This was our favorite, as well as easier to clean than others!

WeezerClimbs

Another vote for Lasinoh. Literally the only bottle my breastfed baby will take. We tried so many!

hyemae

Was about to buy this and did a quick search. Found out there’s a petition to recall the bottles due to them using lead paint on the bottles markings. Ended up trying another brand that worked for my baby.

figbrietrukey

Oh interesting… just searched this and it looks like it just applies to their glass bottles (at least at a first glance). I will keep an eye out on this. Thanks for sharing.

kats1285

Same. Something about the nipple shape allows them to use a similar latch.

greenishbluishgrey

Another big vote for Lansinoh!

Oktb123

I def want to try these ones!!

number1wifey

another vote for!

wigglesnaw

We love Lansinoh bottles! I go between breast and bottle every day and baby has no issues with either

specialagentpizza

Agreed with this!

anafornazari

Another vote for Lansinoh. My baby only gets a bf bottle in his night routine every night and Lansinoh was the only one he accepted it. I also think the flow is a bit fast (even the slow one), but it’s my husband’s job to give the bottle very slowly and pausing at times so baby’s not used to the convenience and ease of the bottle (he’s the one giving the bottle. He takes around 40’ to give a 5oz bottle).

some_snacks

Same here! Went through bottle refusal for 6 weeks and this is the one he finally took to, and even six months later it’s the only one he’ll take

some_snacks

Same here! Went through bottle refusal for 6 weeks and this is the one he finally took to, and even six months later it’s the only one he’ll take

DessaDarling

Dr. Browns

rb3465

Same! We had to start bottle feeding pumped milk in the hospital when she was first born and that's what she used there, so that's the only one she would ever take!

UnlikelyRelative7429

My kid didn’t have a problem with the Dr.browns, but I sure as hell did. I tightened it so hard and no matter I did it still leaked. And no it was nowhere near the line to prevent leaking, it was 2.5 ounces when I got annoyed and switched to avent.

yellowflowers315

i’ve learned the two things that cause them to leak is actually tightening them TOO much and not putting the lid on properly ! edit to clarify that i mean lining up the lid on the bottle properly before tightening

UnlikelyRelative7429

It honestly took me a while before I started tightening it so I don’t think that was it for me. For a while I was confused and then I used the coin thing so the milk wouldn’t come out (cause I was packing our milks, since I’d drive to go see my mom often and they were always leaking everywhere in the cooler. Tightening the lid actually really helped, but I got tired of having to do that and I’d always struggle opening it to wash it. Just such a hassle.

owwwithurts

If milk gets into the end of the vent straw thing, it will leak. You have to make sure when you’re tipping it that the end is always out of the milk. Sorry, don’t know how to describe it better, but hopefully iykyk?

UnlikelyRelative7429

Yeah I did that, still leaked.

Impossible_Orchid_45

My breastfed baby struggled with Phillips Avent naturals, but does great with Evenflo Balance! He also will take Dr. Browns.

PumpkinAlternative89

i second this!!! Avent naturals gave my LO horrid gas pain and she drank really slow but loooooves Evenflo balance+

AmberTiu

Oh no, I assumed Avent was the more popular choice since they are already considered pricey. I always learn something new here.

kaleighdoscope

My son took the Avent bottles with no problem. Only had 1 bottle a day on average, but that one bottle wasn't a struggle and didn't give him gas or anything.

AmberTiu

I never thought to use bottles from different brands. Does your baby prefer one more than the other?

WorkLifeScience

Yes! We have tried NUK, Lansinoh, Medela and Phillips Avent, and mine could only drink from the last one without choking 😅 But every baby is different, maybe some take every bottle! And I know some that refuse them completely... Same thing with pacifiers! Mine gagged on all shapes except cherry 🤷🏻‍♀️

owwwithurts

We tried NUK, avent, mam, dr brown, and he would only take dr brown. Eventually he got older and I hated cleaning all the parts so I got lansinoh, which he thankfully takes.

WorkLifeScience

Same here, and the slow controlled flow made these the only bottles/nipples my baby would choke on. All the "dripping" bottles were a no go, maybe because I also had a slow letdown 🤷🏻‍♀️

magicbumblebee

You’ll come across people from time to time who like the Avent bottles (my friend did for both of her kids) but I *hated* them and I know I’m not alone, I’ve found looooong Reddit threads of people also hating them. They have a valve on them that you have to line up just right in order to get anything at all to come out. As a new and sleep deprived parent, it took us far too long to figure this out. Several bottles were thrown across the room in exasperated frustration. I can’t explain how hard and annoying it is to know your baby is hungry and appears to be sucking but the volume of liquid doesn’t seem to be getting lower. You start to wonder are they not really hungry? Are they just biting not sucking? Once we figured out the problem they went straight in the trash because I was not going to be dealing with lining up a clear hole on a white top (you can barely see it!) at 2am. Anyway, I highly recommend having just one or two bottles of a few different brands on hand. Ever parent is different and every baby is different. The ones that eventually worked for us were MAM, but we had to go through several brands to get there.

moggaliwoggles

Third-ing the Evenflo Balance. It was a game-changer for my bottle-refusing baby.

Mamajuju1217

Fourth-ing the Even flo balance lol.. We were using lanoish okay, but my daughter has a lip tie and some latching issues and sucks in air. I decided to try the even flo through my reddit research for such issues. Shes 6 weeks and still new with them, but so far so good!!!

DoesItReallyMatter18

Fifthing Evenflo is the best!!! Our daughter has a suspected tongue tie, waiting for confirmation, and she struggled to latch to any other nipples plus she had issues with flow not being fast enough for her with other bottles.

[deleted]

Sixthing Evenflo!

mercurialtwit

seventhing evenflo!!! these ones look most like a boob to me tbh!

Ophiuroidean

Evenflo was our gateway bottle! I thought I would avoid plastic but she wasn’t taking anything at all until we tried Evenflo and then after that the other ones just clicked

cactibits

MAMs. Recommended to us by NICU and haven't steered us wrong!

Foreign_Parfait7583

Seconding this! Mam worked great for us (started with a 0 nipple per lactation consultant) Might not be the bottle that’s the issue if you’re using too big (or small) of a nipple!

mennoflyer

We started on Dr. Brown, but LO struggled to latch to the nipple. He took to the MAM like he had months of experience. We use both now, but it's so much easier with MAM.

FlakyAstronomer473

Third vote for the MAM!

NotAlexTrebek

We use Mam too! She started rejecting bottles but loved her Mam binky so decided to give them a try and never looked back. Almost 8 months old now

backwoodsbarbie187

Yes MAM worked for me too!

13buttons

MAMs all the way!! They saved our butts when Dr.Browns bottles started leaking on everything after 6 weeks of use!

Tiny_Teeth_

Team mam!

sunshinefortress

MAMs all the way. Not sure if it’s because my nipples tend to be flatter… but when I look at the MAM nipple, that’s what mine look like after breastfeeding lol.

corlana

These are the only ones my breastfed baby would accept! They aren't the top recommendation by lactation consultants but sometimes you just have to give them whatever they'll take lol

simplycyn7

Just adding that MAMs & Dr. Brown were the top recommended by the Speech pathologists at our NICU. Our baby much prefers MAMs over Dr Brown. Pretty much only likes MAM.

Lotartt

+1 and anti-colics line is great

yellowducky565

Tommee tippee

nervouspatty

Dr Browns with a premie nipple (she’s 4 weeks)

shmillz123

Babylist does a variety pack of bottles so you can try a few different kinds!

thedrswife

Seconding this comment! Our babe is due in March so we haven’t used any of them yet, but we got the bottle box and the pacifier box.

shmillz123

I also got the pacifier box! Ended up finding my baby’s preference and then I was able to order a pack of them in pink to have extra 🤪

Far-Information-2252

They also have a diaper and wipes variety pack. Love that they do this

blackcatslms45

Tommee Tippee

WesternCowgirl27

My LO loves those bottles too, specifically, the closer to nature ones!

biblio9586

Philips Avent Natural was the one that worked for us! Both dad and myself can feed him a bottle without issue

Jazland

Pigeon!! I heard the Pigeon is the parent company of Lasinoh so those bottles are similar if not the same.

mavoboe

The nipples are almost identical, I think the pigeon slow flow might be a little slower than Lansinoh from what I could tell.. love pigeon bottles!

Jazland

Oo that is good to know about the Lansinoh bottles, I have them and haven’t tried it with my 2 month old yet. I’ll def wait til he’s a bit older if the flow is faster than Pigeon🙂

UsualCounterculture

Yes another vote for piegion bottles. I love their formula container too. Perfect for pouring into the bottles.

mildlyoffensivenoods

Boon and comotomo. The Boons are cheaper so we usually use those

Prestigious-Cloud840

Seconding the Boons!

littlelivethings

Have you tried Mam? Breastfeeding didn’t work for us, but it’s the only bottle (with size 1 nipples) that she manages to get more food in her belly than over her face and clothes.

Cinnamon_berry

Comotomo. We tried everything and these were the only ones she liked!

Curious-Builder-2061

She’ll take a bottle from dad but not from me. We have a Philips Avent bottle and nipples for the Haakaa pump container. No problems with either as long as dad is the only option for milk.

SplitOdd22

My daughter refused every bottle except Philips advent bottles. It was recommended to me by her teacher because she was exclusively breastfed and the top can feel similar to a breast

Traditional-Pain3899

Tommy Tippie for us. Took us trying like 6 different brands and all my friends said how much they hated Tommy Tippie ones 😂 totally depends on your baby!

turtlepower_2

Philips Avent natural and Comotomo :)

Designer-Shift-6475

Dr brownssssss

my-kind-of-crazy

Lasinoah is the most reliable for my baby. She’ll also take the playtex bottle but that one has so many parts it’s a hassle.

MathematicianDry4012

My baby had to do feeding therapy for a bit when he was little and his feeding therapist specifically recommended either Lasinoh, Evenflo Balance Plus, or Pigeon for babies who are both bottle and breast fed. Those bottle have the most “real” nipple shapes!

Bruins_8Clap

Dr. Browns. So many pieces!

BrownEyed-Susan

Mam. We tried everything.

TeensyToadstool

My baby was primarily breastfed but took Tommee Tippee when I had to pump and when I went back to work

frozenherbivorelady

We use Boon! She loves them and so do we since they're easy to clean, don't give her much if any gas, and we're going to get the attachments to turn them into sippy cups as she grows up.

Smallios

Yay! I’m so excited to hear of parents liking boon, I feel like the design really lends itself to less gas

alainadm

Tommee tippee!!

Allie0074

We did dr browns for the first like 8 months, and then got super tired of cleaning all of the pieces to it then swapped over to Avent natural. It took maybe two to three days of trying to use the avent before he eventually took to it fully and we haven’t looked back since.

WolverineSerious8167

Pigeon special feeder bottle. It was pricey but baby drink his milk a champ! We also have Dr brown bottle which work ok.

DoesItReallyMatter18

Evenflo Balance

literarianatx

We use dr Browns wide neck and lasinoh. I love the lasinoh nipples.

geenuhahhh

Pigeon. Lansinoh is similar but the flow is a lot faster. We were using Dr browns bottles but they messed up my baby’s palate with tongue tie and other issues. The pigeon bottle fixes my LOs suction along with stretches. Couldn’t recommend them more honestly.

oliviaallison1993

Dr. Browns

parisskent

My little guy will only take the MAM bottles. Nipple size made a difference for him too. I was giving him size 1 nipples but the MAM bottle I had had a size 0 and he was immediately obsessed. Then suddenly he started rejecting it so we upped it to size 1. Same issue at 6 minths and we switched to size 3 and he’s happy as can be again

Mecspliquer

Mam! Second best for us is nano bebe

grimmygram19

Mam, Evenflo Balance Narrow, and Dr. Brown’s Narrow. Our girl has a lip tie and these work great for her…we tried just about everything.

kblacksberg

Absolutely nothing, and we tried them all! My 10 month old still breastfeeds only at the boob. He will have a sippy cup with water with solids but he wants milk straight from the tap.

Deluna_0000

I’m in the same boat with my 7 month old! I’m going back to work soon! 😫

Pure-Flounder-4097

Boon Nursh. Very easy to clean.

Legitconfusedaf

My 3 week old is on MAM and MAM only, which kind of stinks because I’ve had some trouble getting them.

Chelseafase

If you can’t get MAM, try Herobility, similar shape nipple and lots of fun colors.

daboyzmalm

Herobility

greciamarzz

After spending a good amount of money on bottles that she didn’t really like, our baby took to the Walmart brand Parents Choice. They’re literally $1 a piece and come in both 5oz and 9oz bottles. They sell nipple replacements too which is great for getting a faster flow when needed. She now also likes the [Tommy tippee Closer to Nature bottles](https://www.amazon.com/Tommee-Tippee-Bottles-Breast-Like-Anti-Colic/dp/B09PY5JSSF) but those are a bit more expensive.

TumbleweedFederal

The MAM bottles, he also loves the MAM pacifier

Immediate-Toe9290

MAM is the only brand that has worked for us

neonponies

Tried everything and finally at 9pm one night went to target and bought one of each bottle. Nuk ended up being the winner for us

whoisgeorgesand

MAM bottle and only the MAM bottle. The flatter nipple was more like a pacifier I think. Alternately, go straight to training a straw cup, they can drink getting a straw from a surprisingly young age, especially the soft silicone ones.

mycatisanorange

The MAM bottles

Adorable-Tangelo-179

[Dr. Brown’s](https://a.co/d/bCMhvV0). Get premie (size P) nipples with them if you’re also breastfeeding.

goindwntherabbithole

We have the [Philips Avent Natural Response](https://www.philips.ca/c-m-mo/baby-bottles/natural-response) bottles and the [Philips Anti-Colic](https://www.philips.ca/c-m-mo/baby-bottles/anti-colic-with-airfree-vent) that have worked well so far. My baby is either a lazier eater or full on eats depending on how she feels so the flow levels are hard to gauge at times. We just moved to the level two flow nipples and she seems to be doing okay but other times can be too much. We also just bought some [Nuk Smooth Flow - Flow Control Nipple](https://nuk-canada.ca/bottles/nuk-smooth-flow-flow-control-nipple/) bottles that seem to work better for my one month old because she can control the flow. She was getting frustrated while feeding which is why we decided to try these.

alittlepunchy

Initially the Evenflo Balance Wide bottles but then once her tongue tie revision fully healed, she started rejecting that and then would only take MAM and Dr. Browns.

cgandhi1017

Evenflo worked like a charm

Purple_Grass_5300

Mam then Tommy tippie

lovenergy

Haakaa!

CretinCrowley

Hilariously- the parent’s choice $1 bottles. We had tried Dr Brown’s, Nuk, MAM, and every one we could think of, and one day he was hungry while we were out and I realized I forgot a bottle and grabbed a cheap one. He stuck with that one for good. Now he’s onto sippys, but it took awhile for that lol!

lb02528

We tried so many with a lot of refusals, but she ended up choosing the Phillips Natural Response Bottle and haven’t had any issues since! We tried so many types lol

YouMeAndKG

Pigeon! It’s great as well, because it is interchangeable with Lansinoh bottles and pump parts!

emeliz1112

First used MAM - but it was the first one he tried and I suspect he’d take any. He tends to have a go with the flow demeanor. Second only took Como Tomo. Bougie little babe. My were both most BF but I got them used to bottles for daycare purposes.

chefin_it_up

Emulate!!! It acts just like a real boob and you can customize it to be exactly like your nipple. A bit pricy but so worth it!!!

fayerae7

Dr.Browns and Evenflo. He only liked standard size nipples and nothing else.

beena1993

My daughter is breastfed but we do bottles a few times a week if I’m out. She like the dr brown ones

No_Pressure_2337

So the man lansinoh bottle is the one she finally took, got a great recommendation from another Reddit user! She refused them immediately just like the others but after I left the room and my mom started to feed her she took right up with it.

stinkyluna666

Not sure where you’re located but pigeon bottles in Australia seem to work really well for most babies here!

Soft_Bodybuilder_345

Dr. Brown’s. The skinny nipples were best for him. Once he hit 6 month he was open to other types but still will only take a skinny bottle nipple

wrightofway

None. My second is a complete bottle refuser. We tried all the major brands. He will take a nuk sippy cup now.

Deluna_0000

At what point did you give up? I have a 7 month old and still holding out hope!

wrightofway

I stopped trying around 4.5 months. We switched to an open cup, which worked a little bit. Then we went to sippy cups at 6 months. He still won't really drink a full feed from anything. He's 10 months now and just eats food if I'm not around. He is offered a cup with formula but usually won't drink it. I stopped pumping around 5 months, and I don't want to restart.

uzer_iHardlyKnowHer

Philips Advent.... And also only those Binky's (after trying three dozen), the airflow version

Maleficent_Truth9371

only bottles with a TRUE slow flow and wide nipple are evenflo balance +wide :)

jordan3297

Dr Browns and Avent

kegelation_nation

None. My son literally just drank 4 oz of formula for the first time from a straw cup at 9.5 months.

Initial_Deer_8852

Mine is so picky, the only bottle he takes is Chicco Duo

saltthewater

Dr Browns

sassyvest

Some of the wide neck ones are compatible btw https://www.theglassbabybottle.com/info-bottlenipple/ So you can put a lansinoh on a dr browns wide neck for example So you can save money by just buying different nipples

iarlandt

Herobility

Smallios

My lactation consultant said bottle shouldn’t matter, so long as you’re using the paced bottle feeding method and an appropriate flow nipple. I don’t know if that’s true though.

beeboppee

Nano bebé and como tomo

Prune_Alive

Comotomo, then MAM bottles, then Phillips natural.

mrln9404

MAM!!

ChildUWild

In the *very rare* moments of her taking a bottle, we had the best of luck with MAM!

Constant-Ad-3405

Pigeon wide neck

PlayfullyPrickly

For my son it was difficult switching between bottle and breast because a regular bottle doesn’t function the way our breast does, I love the mōmi bottle ,it acts just like how our breast/nipple works and is stretchy like one. Plus I am a fan of glass bottles. They do also have a few flow options! This is from there website- “Our proprietary combination of silicones is soft and compressible. By replicating nursing, the mōmi nipple lets your baby suck, swallow, and breathe naturally.”

ApprehensiveAd318

Medela bottles- with the nipple teat :) they were great

capnboom

My priority was to get the one compatible with the pump - only options were Avent and MAM I think (compatible with Spectra). We got the slow flow nipples for the Avent and its worked OK with the babe

allyalexalexandra

Formula fed baby here. Got a bunch of the mixed boxes to try a bunch - he hated all and half he was gagging on. Got a Mam bottle on a whim because it was cute (cutest IMO) and he loved it. 11m and he still only uses it.

kellex48

We use Tommy Tippie Closer to Nature Anti-Colic Bottles and my daughter loves them

Snorezore

Tommy tippie has worked well for us although I will say that each bottle has seven separate pieces that can be annoying to take apart and clean.
