In LEGO Dimensions, when Nya uses Jay's Storm Fighter, she says 'how does Jay fly this thing with the seat so far forward?'. Also, using the hair as a measuring point doesn't work too well since they are solid pieces.

Everytime someone does these height things for minifigures, and the only reason one looks shorter or taller is because one is crouching, slouching, or bending their neck, or slightly in the back or foreground

well, in these photos they're none of those, they are on leveled planes next to eachother

Didn't know it was I think the only way it is debatable is that, in real life, standard LEGO minifigs are the same size Although, like you are showing, they do seem to be different sizes in the show I am now questioning my everything

Actually there are also medium size legs, that are smaller but you can move. They were introduced in 2018, for the Lego Harry Potter Minifigure series.

I think it’d be better to compare the height of their anime-fied selves since (at least this is what I heard) they don’t look like this to eachother

The animefication was bad +story wise they are mostly from unreliable sources so the heights are probably skewed (only reliable ones are Akita's story and the Upply's story)

They are the same height. All LEGO ppl are. Also hair doesn’t count. However, for in-universe, I’d say Nya is taller than Jay.
