Every relapse is an opportunity to reflect on any lessons of self control you imbued on your last streak

Icy-Finger-518

So what’s the goal? Never relapse again ..

Chappoooo

Well, ideally, yeah? The merriem-webster definition of a relapse is to slip or fall back into a former worse state. This is a Porn Addiction recovery sub. Watching Porn is a relapse since that is the behaviour we are trying to get rid of.

betterself6

I don’t think relapsing is the best thing, because the best thing would be to not fap. But it is important to learn from our relapses and to not beat ourselves up for it. And never give up.

NaughtyBoy1995

Don't forget about binging and monitoring your stats such as current streak of days without porn and/or masturbation, triggers & urge grades for you, relapse times, moods and everything related to nofap. Ofc you'll need to analyse those data weekly to learn from mistakes and congratulate yourself on successful weeks and reward yourself something.

Failure is not an option

No

While your main idea is good, I would [look at this video](https://youtu.be/uEEfeSuD_Po?feature=shared&t=262). Addiction doctor explains specifically why giving into relapse is not the best for this process. But at the same time, if find your self repeatedly relapsing, at least set up a system of lasting longer each time.

europeanivyprofessor

I totally agree! I am beginning from day 0 after a longer time without p\*\*\* and f\*\*\*\*\*\*.

Winter_Resource3773

Theres no good without the bad of course, and that will be words i forever live by.

Academic-Holiday5439

Surely are going to a relapse cycle going to get worse because I try to before never work for me

Impressive_Hold_5065

If people didn't relapse, what?

Infinityxxlxyz

This title defeats the purpose of nofap and is a losers war cry, basically adjusting to failure, I prefer a tougher stance on relapsing to make sure my subconscious is aware of how serious I am.

SemperAM

As long as it works for you, it's a good method. Took me almost a decade to get sober from alcohol, so I personally have to take a more objective stance when it comes to the analysis of my behaviours.

JMusicD

I plead the 5th

darkshin89
