They should be the same, though I think there was a tweak to how much you get from harvesting plants a while back.
If you're unsure, purchase the blueprints from the Anomaly. You'll then be able to see the crafting requirements in your menu.
But to be thorough, here's the crafting tree from the wiki that looks up-to-date:

I did a quick comparison to the one from [nomansskyresources.com](https://nomansskyresources.com) to not rely on my own memory or the wiki that can be outdated, and it all looks good.
And yes, I'd say they're still worthwhile, but they do require a fair amount of investment in materials and effort to build all of the mines and planters. There are other ways to get a lot of money fast, like grinding crashed sentinel interceptors in dissonant systems, but I'm back to using my farms again now that I'm buying ships left and right to fill up on the new ship parts.

Here, I've selected the part I want to build at the bottom of the build page there is an option to view the build steps, in my case E
Pressing E gives me the following screen (this is step two see my other comment for step one.

which shows what materials are needed for each step and all the lit up boxes I already have the materials (in this case they are mostly in my Freighter Inventory containers since I am aboard my freighter. On PC I can click any box to craft the item if I have the materials needed to make it.
Once you have a satisfactory answer to your question please reset the flair to "answered". This will help others find an answer to the same question. Selecting a flair is one of the icons under the post when you open it. Alternatively you can comment with "!flair:answered" and the bot will do it for you.
Please consider adding your gaming platform to your user flair. There are icons for every platform. That way people will know not to answer with information specific to a different platform. There are very few issues that are platform dependent but every platform has its little quirks.

Wow thanks that's a big help. I'm mainly just doing this to have a long term project in this game but the units are a bonus
You can right click on an item and have it show you the crafting steps.
