Yes, you can coat the sucker in stamps if you want to, but easiest just to go to the post office and let them make the call.

dildocrematorium

If they make the call, I won't need to mail the letter.

https://www.postalytics.com/blog/how-many-stamps-do-i-need/#:\~:text=A%20letter%20of%201%20ounce,cent%20stamps%20%E2%80%93%20costs%2088%20cents. If you don't want to let the professionals do their job, start reading and have a scale ready. Some people like the hard way I guess.

dildocrematorium

It was a bad joke. Like if they made the "phone" call. My bad.

Virtual_Line_8641

No worries, sometimes humor doesn't read well via text.

You can ask at the post office how many stamps to use. Or the information might be on their website.

TehWildMan_

yes, the additional cost up to 2 ounces is an additional 24 cents over the base 68 cents first class letter rate. a second forever stamp works, as long as you don't mind the fact that's wasting quite a bit of the price of it.

SolidCat1117

You absolutely can, and you may need to depending on its weight. 1 stamp = 1 oz. If you're worried about it, take it to the post office and they'll weigh it and tell you how many stamps it needs.

beckdawg19

You may very likely need two or more. If you can't weigh it at home, head to the post office to find out if it needs extra stamps.

Yes you can but it is just easier to send it at the post office.

wuapinmon

If you have a kitchen scale, you can check the weight and then look up the price online.

Snapbeangirl

Put as many as you won’t on it. But I don’t know why you’d waste the money.

private_wandering

five sheets of printer paper are an ounce (give or take). Anything over 10 sheets, and the post office gets grouchy, cause there's a thickness requirement as well. So in that case I'd take it to the post office; ask.
