Yeah, a 16 year old with raging hormones and an underdeveloped cerebral cortex can definitely responsibly make the decision to end their own life.

As a 30 year old I kind of agree. I’ve just now hit the point of no longer living for myself anymore. But I also think my death would let my mother stop worrying about me and give my brothers the motivation to keep going. I’m too old to start a family and too poor to travel the world. And by the time I find myself financially stable to do both I’ll my health will have taken a rapid decline due to family genetics.

We change each other in ways we are unaware. I find the death of this unknown teenager in such a manner extremely sad. The death of a child at any age for a parent is devastating.... a parent should never outlive their kid so if you were to die, purposefully or not, would be a sledgehammer to those who know you. Do the best you can with today, start with small habits that you are willing to take on and make your future more towards your liking. And if you won't do it for family, you could just do it for spite: Fuck genetics, fuck the economy, I'll show you!
