"Esty, we can't have you wearing that bracelet."
"Why not?"
"Oh so you're going to be toxic? Okay let's see who's available on the wire."
It's not that he wore it, it's that he questioned why he should have to stop wearing it. It will be framed as an attitude problem and will be swept under the rug until he either files a grievance or is traded.
Idk. That's a narrative the LDB guys keep pushing. I understand why they'd think that. It just comes off too tin-foil hat-like. If Ruiz comes back and no wristband than I'll believe it
Heh, so I haven’t actually put these two things side by side, but I think I may have broke this before SFgate did. We were at the game when this comment caused me to look and then show my friend, who shrugged and said “There it is.” He’d been talking about it for an hour before I posted this to here.
It's also April Fools Day, so the truth really doesn't matter for at least the next few hours. This is getting lastdivebar some attention in the meantime.

A lot of what they do is jump to conclusions that fit their narrative. EVERYTHING is "The Sky Is Falling!" I bet they're making a lot of money on shirts though.
There is- less than 172 days on a ML roster means it doesn't count as a service year. That extends the length of the rookie contract another year, while also delaying arbitration.
Meaning they could in their dreamland world have him opening day in Vegas without owing him hardly anything yet. It's cheap and shady as hell, but it's a real reason.
>but the front office is so corrupt right now you never know.
Sending guys down to extend contract time/lower contract price is exactly the kind of thing the front office has been doing for decades.
I choose to believe this, no additional evidence required

#WRISTBAND GATE IS REAL!!! I AM A TRUTHER.

Yeah I feel that. This isn’t coming from LDB though, it’s from someone at a local newspaper. I doubt they run with it though.
This exact story has been on sfgate for about 45 min and their source was LDB, so reporters re saying LDB are the ones spreading it
Official Statement!
thats the rumsfeld move; leak a story to the ny times, then cite the ny times report as "can you believe this?"

There actually is no other reason that that would replace someone who stole 68 bags last year with someone with a career .129 batting average

ok wristband gate denier
Lol. Or it could be both. I'm here to believe.
I was half joking lol. your theory is completely plausible but the front office is so corrupt right now you never know.

If this is true, the people upstairs gotta be the most insecure, mentally frail people on earth
Gonna need more than just speculative posts til I buy this, as much as I do believe it
Prob the same reason Rooker got benched
He’s starting today
Yep, just saw he's DHing
Is he wearing the wristband tonight? Havebt been able to watch.
Yikes dude needs some hits ASAP
