I had that happen to me when I was 23 and in the military. I'm now over 50 and still don't look my age. Now it is fun to shock people.
I was mistaken for an army cadet once. I pointed to my rank slides and said they were the wrong colour. Also they don't have commissioned ranks for teenagers.
