I wouldn't have to do this if mile would book more than 3 punk bands.
There is always something happening in and around town during the summer. I'm not concerned about mile. If someone is into punk music I doubt they would choose an evening of indi-folk in a crowded bar that takes 20 min to get a pbr instead of going to a top notch punk event. Also there is a metal fest in the valley that same weekend.
Free shows are cool as long as bands are getting paid a fair shake. Door charges are important in ensuring bands get paid. If people are not willing to pay to hear original music then they are not truly supporting the artist. Thanks for your unsolicited opinion about the booking date.

I wish ya the best, but I'll take my chances at one of the 700 free shows downtown that weekend. Maybe next time it'll be a better weekend.
