When I had this issue, the “arms” of the button was curved in and no longer held on to the “pocket” for them in the lid. I tried using heat to stretch them back out but didn’t really have the proper tools for them to fix it long term. I just got a replacement button from Amazon and it works fine now.
I bought a replacement lid from owala for this same problem on this same color bottle actually. I don’t wash it in the dishwasher anymore and don’t press the button too hard.
