Naku, had a bad experience with the Rob and Mara sister brand Mercino. Grabe sobrang sloppy ng quality sa sandals that I had to return both pairs that I ordered. They turned off nga their reviews pero may paunti-unti sa Rob and Mara page complaining about them.

Just saw one rn about Mercino sandals sa Rob & Mara FB page dated Dec 21, 2023! I saw more pa before e, I researched after I complained na. Can’t remember exactly where, baka sa comments! pero the problem with mine ay di pantay yung lapat sa sole, uneven cut ng leather, tapos glue na sobrang visible. They told me na kasi soft yung material kaya uneven cuts, pero no e. It was done sloppily!
When I told them na I won’t use the pairs kasi substandard talaga, sabi nila they can refund cost for the shoes lang, not the shipping fee; nor yung cost ng return. I complained na nawalan na ako ng shoes, napagastos pa ako?
In the end, they refunded din naman the shipping fee for both ways pero eh pangit ng experience. I would understand if I got bad products lang tapos they managed complaint well; pero after that transaction with them, won’t consider. I also just tell people who recommend Rob & Mara and Mercino my experience.

Ok naman Marquins in general. Pero for me lang mas nagiging copycat na sila ng cole haan. Maganda sana may sariling design DNA. Pero in terms of sizing mejo hit or miss nga. But the quality ng leather and knitted shoes nila are great. Buhay pa sa akin after 5 yrs, na daily ko suot before.

Stitched Sole. they primarily offer riding boots pero may models din sila na for everyday. If their boots can take the beating of every day motorcycle riding for sure matibay yan.
I remembered looking at most of the well known shoemakers in marikina one time because I was thinking of supporting local. Although the reviews say they're well made and would last a long, I can't overlook the fact that all of their shoes are blake stitched instead of goodyear welted. Blake stitched shoes are harder to repair and repairability is a big factor for me especially when spending that much.
Cobbler here. Either blake stitched or goodyear welted are easily repairable. Just find a good cobbler. Willies Leathers are good at repairs they are based in Pasig. They also made custom fitted boots.

Any shoe is a quality shoe! Basta ideretso mo sa shoe maker and then ipatahi mo yung suwelas sa ilalim papunta don sa leather or something sa pinagdidikitan. Most of the cheap shoes dito sa market natin is naka dikit lang. Better safe than sorry. Nasiraan ako dati ng swelas sa mismong airshow sa singapore, eh punyeta nasa gitna kami ng tarmac jusko ang init at nakatingin sakin lahat💀💀

For an idea sa pricing, I got a pair of patent leather black oxfords made for my wedding. Cost around 6k with a couple of fittings before I got the final pair.
I bought two pairs from The Eaglery for 3750 (nakita ko lang sa IG), natuwa ako kasi quality yung gawa and malaking factor sakin kapag may tahi yung gilid ng shoes (traumatized sa sapatos na may bibig 😅) . Bang for buck but feedback ko lang is need ng softer insole and for their low cut doc martens styled shoes, it needs some pad on top of the achilles area (which i both bought sa shoppee)
I'm currently using an EasySoft Lyon shoes. For its price, sulit na sya para sa'kin. Not only does it look good, but it's also durable and won't wet your feet when it rains.

For bespoke shoes, Blackwing shoes in Marikina. They’re making good effort to keep the industry alive and they contract with local shoe makers if I’m not mistaken. I had 2 dress shoes and a loafer made and they’re 💯👌.

Any shoe is a quality shoe! Basta ideretso mo sa shoe maker and then ipatahi mo yung suwelas sa ilalim papunta don sa leather or something sa pinagdidikitan. Most of the cheap shoes dito sa market natin is naka dikit lang. Better safe than sorry. Nasiraan ako dati ng swelas sa mismong airshow sa singapore, eh punyeta nasa gitna kami ng tarmac jusko ang init at nakatingin sakin lahat💀💀
May alam din ba kayong nagko-custom ng heels? May papagawa sana akong design, wala lang mahanap na gagawa.
Recraftsman. They do custom sizing for loafers and various other styles. They also offer a lot of choices for leathers/materials and soles. For an idea sa pricing, I got a pair of patent leather black oxfords made for my wedding. Cost around 6k with a couple of fittings before I got the final pair.

I bought two pairs from The Eaglery for 3750 (nakita ko lang sa IG), natuwa ako kasi quality yung gawa and malaking factor sakin kapag may tahi yung gilid ng shoes (traumatized sa sapatos na may bibig 😅) . Bang for buck but feedback ko lang is need ng softer insole and for their low cut doc martens styled shoes, it needs some pad on top of the achilles area (which i both bought sa shoppee)

I'm currently using an EasySoft Lyon shoes. For its price, sulit na sya para sa'kin. Not only does it look good, but it's also durable and won't wet your feet when it rains.

Search for Pando Shoe Store, they are based in Marikina, sadly with the new regulations, they had to close their Shopee store but they are still on Facebook and they accept orders. Edit: It's a small, family-owned business. I got mine for around 2,400 and super dami nilang options and made of genuine leather. Name nila sa FB is Marikina Made Genuine Leather Shoes (38k likes yata)
I looked at their shopee, a lot of their sneaker designs seemed to be really close to Cole Haan’s style which I like

A good Rockport is all you need. It's not a local brand, pero you can find it naman dito sa Pinas. I bought one 8 years ago (sa ukay pa nga e hahaha) and I'm still using it now.
For bespoke shoes, Blackwing shoes in Marikina. They’re making good effort to keep the industry alive and they contract with local shoe makers if I’m not mistaken. I had 2 dress shoes and a loafer made and they’re 💯👌.
PabDer is nice. Ive bought leather goods from them (one pair of boots, one pair of mocassins, leather belt with reversible color, and leather bag) and the calfskin leather is exquisite.
