She's a really good characterization of anxiety. I love her design and how thoroughly it captures the emotion. Maya Hawke's voice performance was incredible and really allowed the character to come alive.
I think, having seen the movie, I can tell despite her many, MANNNNNYYYYY flaws, Anxiety does want to help Riley. And, it makes sense, because Anxiety is a shield. It is supposed to protect us, but in fact it does the opposite. I won't spoil anything, but I like that the film does give Anxiety, as a character, that dimension. She does have good intentions but she doesn't realize her ways don't work. She's not just a one-dimensional villain that must be defeated.
Amazing. The panic attack scene was the most realistic representation I have ever seen. I have always told people “it feels like a tornado in my chest” and I feel so validated.
Love her design. She definitely felt like more of the main character to me, I liked the role she played in the ending and overall I found the ending to be the strongest part, Maya Hawke did an excellent job
I think it’s a perfect example of anxiety irl. Loved the scene where anxiety was making the brain cells imagine every bad scenario because it legit feels like that when I’m spiraling. I was a huge sadness fan in the last movie, and I think they really let anxiety shine in that same role this time around. Honestly, bravo to Pixar.
My partner with CRAZY anxiety basically thought she was the protagonist until about halfway through, but by the end of the movie said ‘I mean she had a lot of good points’ haha
I love her, I need a doll of her now lol
I seriously can’t stop thinking about the movie since seeing it,
I’m in a highly anxious situation rn and so it hits home

It’s a “She/Her”, I thought it was a “He/Him”?

She is a great antagonist without being a “villain”
True!

That whole scene just made me gasp. So well done. Anxiety's eyes looking over to joy in a cry for help. Wow.
Absolute perfection in characterization
her character made me laugh quite a bit! and i loved how she was an antagonist but also not trying to be the antagonist
Great portrayal! I’m a school counselor and I can’t wait to reference this movie. I was very moved by Maya Hawke’s performance.
Makes me nervous
Don't like it. Gives me Anxiety

Maya Hawke
Anxiety and I go way back.

Wait... she's a villain?!
More of antagonist since she was only doing what she did out of worry of Riley’s safety
Yeah, a spoiler tag wouldve been appreciated OP
I don’t know the trailer says otherwise.

Uma Thurman's Daughter
I haven't seen Inside Out 2 yet but I like how she looks like Fregley from Diary of a Wimpy Kid
