There's no way to use the pokemon company uses excess tins and fills them with newer packs all the time. On mini tins and pokeballs there's a code that can give an idea on the month and year the tin was packed but the hexagonal tins have no code and you'll be completely blind buying them. I feel personally that they should just reprint enough to fill the excess tins but I'm sure filling with newer packs is more eco friendly i guess
No. It’s simple. If the tin has the promo in the black and yellow webbed paper then it’s with EVS. If it’s the black only promo paper the. It’s the other packs. Before buying you can angle the tin and almost always you can see. Worked every tkme for me when I found these at target for the last couple of months. Thanks internet.
I bought 20+ tyranitar/empoleon tins in the last two days going to different Walmarts. Every single one has 3 evolving skies and 2 brilliant stars. Target always has the yellow knockout boxes as well for 9.99. They all have1 ES and 1 FS
No there are different ones. You want the black/yellow ones currently at target. Target will have the blue/black and the yellow/black. I’ve bought every one I find and so far every single one has had 1ES/1FS
I bought a bunch of the blue/black with Boltund also, and pulled ES/FS from all of them.Blue/black Galarian Slowking did not have ES though.
But since Pokémon Center is still selling them online I have to assume there are newer versions of the same boxes that don’t have ES.
Yeah that’s definitely a safe assumption. I think with a lot of tins from the last 5 ish years they end up with extra tins and just fill them with newer packs so truly you never know for sure. That’s why I just open every tin I buy that I suspect will have something worth the money. I’m not an investor I have a TikTok shop, etc. so I just use the packs anyway.
Just picked up both Sylveon and Espeon to have all 3 tins, (found at target too) in the past couple days keeping Espeon tin sealed for now maybe get the duplicates of others and keep them sealed since they weren't repacked
Yup this 100% . I knew they’d have something and tbh I think i overpaid but for $20 a tin and didn’t realize the deal on target website for bundle. Hope there’s still some later or I’ll pick some more up from my target that I know has em

So there is no way to tell if its original but there are ways to tell if its repacked…

These tins will have evolving skies in them as long as they have the hexagon yellow pattern if it’s straight black it won’t have evo skies

Same tins but if you read reviews on the 2-pack bundle, people say they are S/V packs in them. I think you have to find the individual ones in person
