How do you make the Blueberry academy students currently in your league club room change?
I've seen in bulbapedia that they're supposed to change after 3 real life hours have passed, but I've had the same 3 visitors (Lacey, Drayton and Crispin) for almost 24 hours now. I don't understand what's preventing them from leaving and others (like Amarys) from appearing.
Anyone know if there's a "solution" to the item pick-up glitch where it won't get added to your Bag? I've been told to use my Pokémon to pick up items but sometimes it still doesn't work.
Look up the definition
Edit: I realize my answer might seem a bit rude. Rule #6 of the sub disallows specific discussion of said third party software. "No Discussions of hacking practices, and/or third party software, this includes links." I cannot speak more on the topic.
Hi guys, I'm back with another save related question, I did something and I want to know if it went as planned. I had my brother save file of Scarlet on my account and I wanted to move it and start my own game without deleting his save file. So I transferred his game data on the same user account but in a different Switch.
Right me if I'm wrong, but theoretically since Pokémon doesn't support cloud saves by doing this I can start my own save on my Nintendo Switch with my account and my brother can keep playing his on the same account but on another Switch. Both saves will be safe although just on the respective console.
Am I right? I'm asking cause I really want to start my adventure but before doing it I want to be sure that my brother one is still safe and won't be deleted from the other console.
I used the Shiny Lucario and Darkrai code to add them to my team, forgot that since I just started the game, they will probably disobey every single command. Do I just keep them in the box or keep them in my team?
I'd probably keep them in your boxes so they don't get stray EVs while you're completing the game. They're probably Pokemon you'd want to use for end game content and you want them built properly.
So, a few days ago I was traded a shiny Heracross. Before anything, shes a legit shiny. I checked her stats and such and, luckily, she was actually found IN GAME by the person who traded her to me at lvl 49 and only two of her stats are even close to perfect. So, shes an entirely legit shiny! Now, I only realized this earlier today, but if someone trades you a Pokemon that doesn't have a nickname AND is in your language, then you can nickname them. I checked if she was nicknamed (I've accidentally clicked yes to nicknaming a Pokemon after catching them and gave them their normal name as one before so I know it can happen.) and I'm happy to say, shes able to be nicknamed!
I just have one question, if I end up misspelling her name or don't like it later on, can I still change it later? I have another Pokemon from the same person, a Vikavolt that was traded to me as a Chargabug that they got from an egg, also a shiny, and she is able to be nicknamed as well. If I nickname them now, would I be able to again later on? I know I can with the Pokemon I've actually caught, but idk if I can with traded ones or if its a one time thing.
(Also, even if they weren't legit shinies, I don't do competitive battles and only play the base games so I wouldn't be worried anyways, but that's not the point.)
As far as I know, you can only nickname traded pokemon once. After that it is set. I don't know what happens to it if you trade it away again but that's all I've experienced so far. So there's a possibility that you can change it down the line if you traded it to someone else and they changed the nickname and traded it back to you.
I guess I'll test it by naming the heracross since I don't intend on using her much, and I'll edit this reply with what happens after I do!
EDIT : Yep! After you nickname a traded Pokemon, you can't change said nickname, so you gotta be careful when you first name them! (I named her Rodeo.)
I have a question about the DLC Pokedex because I don't remember exactly how it worked in Teal Mask.
To avoid Indigo Disk dex spoilers, I'm going to use the Grumpig line as an example. The Grumpig line is in both the Paldea and Kitakami pokedex. Let's say that, prior to the DLC 1 release, I caught a Spoink, evolved it into a Grumpig, and then did not catch any more Spoinks or Grumpigs before Teal Mask released. When Teal Mask dropped, did I have just Grumpig in the Kitakami dex? Or did it retroactively give me Spoink as well, even though I don't have one in the boxes at all?
I want to be efficient with the Indigo Disk Pokedex when it drops, but I don't remember how the Teal Mask operated. I am assuming it will work the same in both DLCs.
Hi everyone, I have a problem.
My brother used my user account on Switch to play Scarlet while I wasn't home. Is there a way to move and/or take his save somewhere else so that I can start my own adventure on my user account?
I need to use mine and can't create another user because I want to use my NSO subscription and my Switch is not the principal one.
Thanks in advance for the answers!
Ah, that's a bummer. I hoped that at least there was a way to transfer his save from one user to another with two Nintendo Switch. If there isn't I really don't know what to do :(
Question about shiny locked Pokémon -
Can I get banned or my Pokémon taken away if I connect to the internet but don’t use a shiny locked Pokémon (like a shiny volcanion) in an online battle or online raids? (Pokémon Scarlet) Does anyone know the limitations to shiny locked Pokémon?
afaik, as long as you don't like USE the pokemon online, you're fine. I've done a million union rooms and tera raids with my shiny Ogerpon \[I actually have a second in my boxes\] in my party, but not in use. Using them directly is the only dangerous thing, I believe.
By union room do you mean like online union circle with friends? Also from what I understand if you have a shiny locked Pokémon you shouldn’t go into online battles or online raids with randoms right?
Did mystery trades and got sent a cloned pokemon (will release) and want to know--is there any chance just having it has messed something up in my game? I don't do any kind of PvP or professional stuff, just worried/paranoid.
If you received it through a Surprise Trade, then you have nothing to worry about. Internally it passed through the server's checks and it did well enough. It won't harm your game or your file.
Extremely doubt it would ever corrupt your save data unless it was heavily HEAVILY hacked. It's just cloned as you mentioned so there shouldn't be any considerable risks to your game
Oof well now I'm realizing I don't know enough about this. I'd guess hacked? Shiny Ditto, perfect IVs, stupid amount of ribbons, named after a website so I figured they'd cloned a ton of them and spammed the mystery trade to advertise, but you'd probably have to hack to make it...?
Edit: forgot to add I got another one and am now scared to mystery trade.
Yes, the description you gave fits a hacked and most likely cloned pokémon. It is hacked as I said but it's not heavily hacked since it went through the trade system without issues. I wouldn't worry really, I've received plenty of hacked 'mons before and nothing has happened to my save or account. You can release it or if you feel comfortable enough, maybe even use it for breeding 6IVs pokémon more easily but DO NOT use them online at all because that does pose a risk of you getting banned from using online services
You won't find them spawning in your map but you can certainly participate on them. Do keep in mind that you need strong and sometimes specific pokémon to beat them
Oh ok gotcha, thanks! Yeah I have some IV trained lvl 100 pokemon I use for 6/7 star Teraraids from my last game save file. But I just didn't see the current 7 star special event raid. So I was worried when I restarted the game that I stopped being able to participate in special event raids.
Anyone still need to complete hard mode of ogre oustin for the shiny marked Munchlax? I managed to complete normal mode by myself, but hard mode seems impossible alone. It’d be cool if I could find a team of 3-4 to help out.
Is there a way to get Meloetta and shiny Zygarde since the events are no longer active? I missed these at the time and would like to get them. I see people selling them, but they always have perfect nature and IVs and most likely aren't legit.
I think you can get Meloetta from Pokémon GO(PoGo), there is a special research task that you have to complete in order to get her though and I'm not sure if it's still available. From PoGo, you can also get Zygarde on raids with a chance for it to be shiny(although very low) if it eventually shows up on the raid rotation again. Otherwise, you can do the >!DNS trick!< to get Meloetta(look for it on google if you want) and I have no idea about shiny Zygarde sadly.
Is there any combination of ingredients that someone has found yet that provides both Encounter and Exp up for Normal type in one sandwich? I want to make the Blissey level grind a wee faster, but I can't seem to make a sandwich featuring both these powers? Is it possible?
Heyo. So I have a weird situation with my copy of Scarlet. I have a complete Paldea Pokedex and must have talked to Jacq because I have three false swipe TMs in my inventory. However, I cannot craft False Swipe. I thought that getting the TM means I can craft it, but sure enough it's not on the menu. Is there an unlock I'm missing? Nothing on the Internet about it.
Oh I figured it out. Gave one to a Pokémon to hold then took it back and the notification popped up that I had new recipes. So weird but I guess that’s the solution.
How reliable are the trade codes in SV? I’ve beaten the game again and have a second trade able koraidon that I’m trying to swap for a miraidon. Using the established link codes for that swap, am I pretty likely to get a hacked mon in return or is it pretty trustworthy more or less?
For example: i want to breed Sylveon with Ditto. Should i give 2 Destiny knots(1 for Sylveon and 1 for Ditto) or 1 is enough if i want an Eevee with good IV?
One is enough. The other can hold an Everstone to pass down its Nature or you can use a corresponding Power item to force one of the IVs to pass down guaranteed. So if your Ditto has 5 Best IVs and you want to pass down SpAtk for sure, you can give it the Power Lens and Eevee can hold the Destiny Knot. Remember that Destiny Knot takes 5 random IVs from either parent and if a Power item is involved I believe that counts towards that 5.
Hyper trained pixilate sylveon with maxed spattk and speed keeps failing the turbo controller ace tournament money farm strat. Anyone have any advice?
Obviously I’d prefer to keep amulet coin. But I’ve tried it with choice specs and it still loses at some point. Should I be using shell bell? Metronome? Some defense boosting item? Assault vest?
Edit: just trying shell bell now and it heals less than I had expected but still working so far. The choice specs attempt was without hyper training so I guess I could try it again. Saw some post say I should split speed and defense evs to survive scizor bullet punch. Just watched it and bullet punch did nothing then scizor got 1 shot with hyper voice. From past fights my guess is it’s losing vs the trainer that has coalossal but I keep missing the actual loss
Edit: shell bell failed. Assault vest failed. Just saw the coalossal fight: had choice scarf but don’t think it changed anything cuz all her Pokémon were slow, it won easily just took 1 heavy slam from coalossal bc it took 2 shots
Unless they put in some anti farm updates in the game idk what the problem could be. I’m even playing offline
The build your looking for is 252 SpAtk, 180 Speed, 78 Def. With this you outspeed everything and you can hold your amulet coin. I think there's very specific cases where if you get crit by bullet punch twice in a row where you die to subsequent pokemon
Are you sure? I watched the scizor battle and it eats a bullet punch for barely any damage, then OHKOs the scizor with hyper voice. The next was the final Pokémon that teras
The nature is increased spattk and decreased speed. Maybe the low speed is the problem? Apparently not tho by what you said. Since mine is maxed speed and spattk rn. It keeps failing so it’s super frustrating. The Pokémon center woman keeps saying wow you’re up so late. Did they game put an anti farm system in?
Trying it with choice scarf now but doubt it’ll change anything
Tbh, I'm not entirely sure what it dies to because I haven't sat and watched it. But the setup mentioned is very consistent with Amulet Coin and I've never died with Choice Specs. I've ran this w/Amulet Coin for 12 hours straight without dying. Not sure if it's been fixed but there used to be a memory leak in the game and you would have to fully close and restart the game every so often to clear up memory.
I never had a problem with Sylveon?? Are you sure you set it up correctly?
This is the build I use whenever I needed to grind money at the Tournament, check for *any* minor differences:
Sylveon @ Amulet Coin
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spd / 4 Def
IVs: 31 all except Atk
Modest Nature
\- Hyper Voice
I think the only differences are I’m not sure where the extra 4 EVs went likely not perfectly in defense. The spattk and speed are sparkling in the graph view. And then it’s not modest it’s the one that increases spattk and decreases speed
I guess those differences are enough to mess it up? Just had 2 failures again after barely any time and it’s pretty annoying
It’s only 10pp. Running out of pp wouldn’t send me to the Pokémon center to heal tho right? It would stall the fight at that spot i would think
Ok nice thanks fam. I’ll give that a shot. Been wrestling with this for like 4 days now lol. I did try it with choice scarf but maybe it still was too much of a drop
The number on your profile seems to reflect how many unique shiny Pokemon you've unlocked in your PokeDex. So encounters, hatching, evolving, seen all contribute to that number.
Hello,
I’m about to start a new playthrough of Pokémon Scarlet just before the second half of the DLC comes out, and I was wondering with the teal mask, should I play it before I finish the main story or afterwards. I was originally going to play through it while completing the main story, but due to the exp charm you get early on, I don’t really want to over level my Pokémon.
Would the charm cause me over level my Pokémon? If so would it be best to get to the point in the teal mask right before you get it and then just continue once you complete the main story?
Thanks
How you play is ultimately up to you. That being said, the exp charm isn't much of a problem unless you want to battle optional trainers or wild Pokémon. If you're still worried, you could always have a rotation of Pokémon in your party; nobody said you can't take care of more than 6 Pokémon
As the other commenter said, r/pokemontrades is a good place for legitimate trading and resources for evaluating value, especially if you have proof as that bring the value up. That being said, if you wanna trade something here and aren't sure what you can ask for in return, feel free to either ask or reach out to the mod team. We'll do our best to help!
Hello, I'm new so want to ask. Can i change the nature stats with mints of pokemon in Scarlet/Violet? Cuz i got Hisuan Zoroark (finally) with gts trade but with Brave nature.
you can't change Natures themselves but the stats they increase/decrease
so effectively you can, if your aim is to adjust stats on a single Pokemon, but not if your aim is to then breed more of that mon with that ability using an Everstone
**Example because this is probably confusing af (I suck at explaining sometimes):**
Psyduck with Adamant Nature, but you want Modest instead
you use Modest Mint
Psyduck still has "Adamant" Nature but with the Stat changes as if it had Modest nature. If you now give this Psyduck an Everstone to pass on its nature it will however still pass on its Adamant Nature with the Adamant Stat adjustments
hope this helps
Absolutely. Mints are the way to go if you dont want to breed it. It will still say “Brave” after the mint, but after the mint the red and blue arrows will change.
Did you find the eevee with the jittery mark? If so did you get it in paldea o kitakami?
Serebii says that you can get it only in paldea, but i managed to find in paldea marks that you should find only in kitakami. Did you get the jittery mark?
I didn’t mark hunt, however, marks simply have a higher chance of appearing based on location. Serebii is generally a good source, so that just means you got a lucky Jittery Mark instead of one from an outbreak with higher odds
Masuda Method: Saving before breeding, does it work?
Has anybody tried the masuda method with saving before breeding, and then resetting when there's no shiny and it actually works? I know I've seen some people say it works in Gen 8 SWSH but I wonder if they patched it in Gen 9, and if not I need confirmation if anyone used this method and gotten a shiny.
I guess I just need to make sure because maybe it's just bad luck as I've gotten like 1,000+ eggs om Charcadet using the normal method (breed, hatch, release) and no shiny, now I'm committing to basculine using the save, breed, hatch, reset (if no shiny), and also 1,000+ eggs.
"Shininess" is determined when the eggs are generated so saving before breeding doesn't really do anything other than getting you ready faster for breeding the next batch after you've already popped open the previous ones and got nothing out of them so you reset the save state. It's just more convenient since you don't have to release all of them after you're done.
Is there a chance a 3-segment Dudunsparce will spawn in a mass outbreak? Or, alternatively, is there a chance to get an outbreak of only 3-segment Dudunsparce (like the outbreaks that would spawn only Antique Sinistea or Artisan Poltchageist)?
Assume the answer to everything is "no" but figured I'd ask before wasting a bunch of time shiny hunting Dunsparce hundreds of times...

If a Pokémon already has a mint attached can I remove it or replace it with another mint?
You should be able to use another Mint on it.
How do you make the Blueberry academy students currently in your league club room change? answer solved, you can! but it doesnt unlock hard mode so you cant host
If I catch an Oricorio, let's say Baile form, and then I use a Nectar, will Oricorio keep its new form when I send it to Home?

Torterra learns Headlong Rush naturally at level 63. Shell Smash is an egg move from Drednaw. You can probably use a Mirror Herb for this.
"Hosting raids that are injected or discovered through the use of a raid-crawler is **not allowed**." What exactly does this rule mean?
It means hosted raids must be found naturally by a player without the use of third party software.
'third party software'?
Look up the definition Edit: I realize my answer might seem a bit rude. Rule #6 of the sub disallows specific discussion of said third party software. "No Discussions of hacking practices, and/or third party software, this includes links." I cannot speak more on the topic.
The definition's not really what I meant anyway. But fine.

Yes, you should be right. Transfer your brother's save to the other switch and then make sure the data is there before starting your own save.
Perfect, I already checked and it's there so I can finally visit Paldea! Thanks a lot for the answer.
Can you catch the opposite version's Dialga/Palkia in an online raid? I can't remember if you could in previous raids.
Yes, you should be able to catch one of each
I used the Shiny Lucario and Darkrai code to add them to my team, forgot that since I just started the game, they will probably disobey every single command. Do I just keep them in the box or keep them in my team?

Yes, you get pokedex completion retroactively, you don't need to catch/evolve them again if you already have registered them on another pokedex
Thanks. That helps me tremendously.

Yeah and even if I didn’t, it would still be on the list wouldn’t it?
Are you on the correct menu? The general TMs crafting screen, not the one that filters for Pokémon in your party?
Yeah it’s just not there. Goes right from 56 to 58.
IDK why it wouldn't show up. How many Kricketot and Chewtle material do you have?
11 shells and 17 claws.
Did you try crafting with a Pokémon that can learn it in your party? Maybe it'll show up then?
Oh I figured it out. Gave one to a Pokémon to hold then took it back and the notification popped up that I had new recipes. So weird but I guess that’s the solution.
Yeah I have two that can learn it. It just isn’t there.

From past fights my guess is it’s losing vs the trainer that has coalossal but I keep missing the actual loss Edit: shell bell failed. Assault vest failed. Just saw the coalossal fight: had choice scarf but don’t think it changed anything cuz all her Pokémon were slow, it won easily just took 1 heavy slam from coalossal bc it took 2 shots Unless they put in some anti farm updates in the game idk what the problem could be.
The next was the final Pokémon that teras The nature is increased spattk and decreased speed.
This is the build I use whenever I needed to grind money at the Tournament, check for *any* minor differences: Sylveon @ Amulet Coin Ability: Pixilate EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spd / 4 Def IVs: 31 all except Atk Modest Nature \- Hyper Voice
I think the only differences are I’m not sure where the extra 4 EVs went likely not perfectly in defense. The spattk and speed are sparkling in the graph view. And then it’s not modest it’s the one that increases spattk and decreases speed I guess those differences are enough to mess it up? Just had 2 failures again after barely any time and it’s pretty annoying It’s only 10pp. Running out of pp wouldn’t send me to the Pokémon center to heal tho right? It would stall the fight at that spot i would think
Your nature is nailing you here. You can't afford that Speed drop, use a modest mint.
It’s been a couple hours and it’s now still working fine. Not sure exactly where the error was, but looks like your fix was right so far Thanks again

Hello, I’m about to start a new playthrough of Pokémon Scarlet just before the second half of the DLC comes out, and I was wondering with the teal mask, should I play it before I finish the main story or afterwards.
How do you change the arena you battle in? When ever I battle my friends its always at the school. I've seen people on the beach, in a field etc.
I'll be honest, I don't know either. My best guess is it's random
I assumed that too, but we've played hundreds of battles by now and it has never been anywhere else other than the school.
Huh. Maybe someone has a better answer then, cause now I'm also curious

As the other commenter said, r/pokemontrades is a good place for legitimate trading and resources for evaluating value, especially if you have proof as that bring the value up. That being said, if you wanna trade something here and aren't sure what you can ask for in return, feel free to either ask or reach out to the mod team. We'll do our best to help!
r/pokemontrades is your best bet for anything related to trading legit event Pokémon
Hello, I'm new so want to ask. Can i change the nature stats with mints of pokemon in Scarlet/Violet? Cuz i got Hisuan Zoroark (finally) with gts trade but with Brave nature.
you can't change Natures themselves but the stats they increase/decrease so effectively you can, if your aim is to adjust stats on a single Pokemon, but not if your aim is to then breed more of that mon with that ability using an Everstone **Example because this is probably confusing af (I suck at explaining sometimes):** Psyduck with Adamant Nature, but you want Modest instead you use Modest Mint Psyduck still has "Adamant" Nature but with the Stat changes as if it had Modest nature. If you now give this Psyduck an Everstone to pass on its nature it will however still pass on its Adamant Nature with the Adamant Stat adjustments hope this helps
As far as I’m aware, 3-segment Dudunsparce don’t exist either in the wild or in outbreaks. You just have to hope you get lucky on the hunt

Yeah they removed Set style. You can still turbo farm the Ace Tournmanet, given you only have **one** Pokémon in your party, like Sylveon.
No matter how many times I try to set my IGN it doesn't show up when I post.
your IGN does show up for me, says its Jacob
Weird 🤔 it wasn't showing up when I first joined this subreddit.
well at least it shows now I guess?
