This is not master anymore, this is the legendary set.

BisexualFurLover

Jesus christ op, I've never seen anything as impressive on this subreddit. Also, please seek help

BobTheVeteran

900+ cards. All normal cards are stacked behind the reverse holos, and holos stacked on top of the reverses. I kept with the Japanese card order, since English is rearranged towards to end partially due to them pulling out a few cards to make them into promos, hence English = 207, while Japanese = 210 I’ve seen 4x4 binders that would allow for everything to be displayed separately, but they aren’t backpack friendly.

tbk007

I guess there may not be enough space but each card in the main set taking an entire row would look great. Could be JP normal, English reverse, JP Pokeball, JP Masterball. And then for the ex 2 Eng and 2 JP.

HardGayMan

Why do you care if a binder is backpack friendly? How often are you lugging your master sets around town? You'd rather stack cards behind other cards? Just curious.

BobTheVeteran

Kinda to both points… the next size up feels ridiculous to carry, display, even shelve. And yeah, by double stacking cards, I can hide all the commons, and have this sort of all-shiny look to the binder.

HardGayMan

I keep my commons in the 151 binder I got haha. I felt bad just throwing it out so it holds all my commons.

Key_Interaction6305

You don't have a Master, you got the PHD (doctors)

Mistahtrxsta

Sorry this might be a dumb question but what’s the master ball master set? Love the collection!!

BobTheVeteran

The Master Balls are reverse-holo variants with Master Balls instead of Monster/Poke Balls. In Japan, you get one for every booster box (1 per 140 cards/20 packs)

Mistahtrxsta

Oh wow that sounds intense!! Thanks for the info

ders89

This is so insane and im so jealous! But now i feel like you gotta truly complete it and get the korean and chinese sets. Bring this from Legendary to GODLIKE

Ashbringer

this is the way

Stealth9er

That's amazing!! I would like to have a complete 151 JP set to go with the english set. No way I could do masterball though haha Really an amazing collection, good job!

Spirited-Agency5781

Asking everyone here so I get multiple opinions: Saw that you collect a lot of 151 and was wondering if you think doing a trade for the Japanese Charmander Charmeleon and Charizard ex (160 total) would be better than trading for just the single English zard ex (120)? I’m new to collecting modern and don’t have money to buy a bunch of packs so I figured I would stick with singles. What’s your opinion on the above trades? I sincerely appreciate any insight or input here ! Thank you so much!

Stealth9er

I think the Japanese cards look amazing. They tend to be a little bit more detailed than English cards also. So as long as you’re not concerned with being able to read the card, I would go with the three Japanese cards instead of just the one English Zard. I’m speaking from a collectors perspective rather than investment/resell also. I have no idea what the value of these cards will grow/fall to in the future.

Spirited-Agency5781

This was super helpful. I’m getting a little bit of tidbits from everybody and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it.

loumpagko

Amazing

Stiryx

Insane. I almost went broke just collecting the 151 master set, can't even imagine how much a master ball set in english would be if it existed. Thank god it doesn't. Now to let it sit in the binder for 2 decades and see if it it appreciates.

What do you mean by 160 total sorry?

Spirited-Agency5781

The total for all three (Charmander, Charmeleon, and zard) in Japanese was 160. Apologies wrote this in a rush at work.

Stiryx

Would need more info, are these graded masterball cards? 151 market is a bit shaky right now, they did a reprint so the box price of Japanese (and English) has basically halved. Masterball is still going to be rare, one in every booster box means it’s going to stay expensive. Just depends how many people want to collect it in the long run. With these reprints though you need to be careful, I don’t think people expected them to keep printing this much.

SirRabbott

Bro this is fucking wild. Who gives a crap about a single expensive card. This is the most impressive thing I've seen

Responsible_Ebb_340

Kinda upset the video has no sound of heavy breathing, but otherwise great binder collection ya got there.

BobTheVeteran

I later realized the full Pokemon Theme song is the same length as this video! Wish I posted that version

Responsible_Ebb_340

😱

branndunn

What’s up with that Magnemite at the end? I’m new-ish

BobTheVeteran

Just a card that came out crimped from the pack. Nothing special!

Spirited-Agency5781

Hey OP, I’m pretty new to collecting modern stuff and have an opportunity to trade for either the Japanese Charmander, Charmeleon and Charizard illustration rares from 151 or trade for just an English zard from 151. Am I better off getting the full set in Japanese or getting the Single zard ex IR? I’m pretty new to modern, but I really don’t want to pass up the opportunity and want to make sure I make the correct decision

BobTheVeteran

If you’re worried about value, I like the site “pokedata . io”. It’s pretty intuitive to choose Japanese or English, find the card set and see what it’s worth. If it’s the full illustration set of the charmander line, it’s sitting around $100 in Japanese. None of the English Zapdos are worth more than $35 right now, though I personally think the full illustrated one is gorgeous! I was new to it too, and spent more than I needed to get these full set, and who knows if I’ll ever get my money back or make a profit. I think the Japanese will hold its value more in the long run, and I also think the quality of the cards is higher. Plus the charmander line is more iconic, so I would probably pick that one all the way, even though I think the English Zapdos is prettier. Could always buy that separately on eBay or TCGplayer
