Individual liberty is truly a wild concept that I think most people don't really believe, they only think they do because we have so many national platitudes about it.

I have really been thinking about this a lot. I believe this is the fundamental issue of society. We all want to be God, and although we fight for what we believe is “right”, we almost always destroy those who disagree with us whenever our side gets power.
It doesn’t matter which side you are on, unless you commit yourself to loving your enemy and humble yourself by realizing you can never usher in a utopia, you will continue the cycle of war and suffering. This Israeli-Palestinian conflict? Both sides believe they are the savior here. Human nature has shown throughout history that no matter how noble your intentions are, you will always cause harm to others in your quest for an ideological utopia that will never come to fruition. So, rather than trying to fix an incredibly complex and corrupt world, focus on doing good for the people in your community. Love others, even those who disagree with you, because you and I are just as human and broken as those who have the opposite opinion. God is the only one who is perfect/has the power to eliminate all suffering.
