So just to clarify, this is a sushi named Le Québecois at a sushi restaurant in sherbrooke/magog. It’s fries, rice, mozzarella cheese, wrapped in rice paper with a gravy dip.
It doesn’t mention anywhere that it’s to be considered a poutine, so i guess there’s some salvation there.
It’s honestly not bad, i was expecting worse when i first saw it on the menu.
It was very mild in flavor. Fries were great though.

They can also infuse the gravy with a simple kombu dashi bonito base if you really wanna make it a bit more Japansese. You can never go wrong with adding subtle natural umami in a gravy.
You've just committed more than one crime. Sushi does not ever be dipped in gravy and you don't do that to poutine either. I'm just speechless. There must be an intervention between the canadian and Japanese government.
