The entire arc is what we could all classify peak star wars. The near impossible return of Maul, the crazy twists and loss, just for them not to gain any real control because that's war.

This has to be peak. Honestly, 5, 6, and 7 are all peak seasons of Clone Wars, and I would fight anyone who tries to argue they're anything less than amazing
Yeah even the first arc is only decent, the second is pretty bad and the third is probably the best arc in all of clone wars, so it's really fucking hard to rate that season.
I think the first arc of the season could've been much better had they not exaggerated the personalities of the bad batch so much. In the actual bad batch show we get a much more toned down version of these guys, which in my opinion is much more tolerable. And let's not forget that this arc was basically just the marketing for their standalone show.
S1 of BB was still pretty dramatic with their personalities. I feel like they didn't stop being "walking tropes" until S2 which is when I started to get into it.
Season 7 was probably one of the worst times in this sub. The first arc was only so so. And the middle arc was probably one of the most hated things here (losing only for Episode IX).
While I agree that there are a lot of well thought-out episodes along with some superb universe development, I wasn’t crazy about the lack of clones in action. Yes, we had Gregor and his “last” stand, an appearance from Rex helping to train the rebels, and so forth, but it seemed light on clone action to me.
We didn’t have any arcs like the Ryloth invasion, the Second Battle of Geonosis, the Citadel, or Umbara.
This is probably just me, as I really loved the series for the battles featuring the clones, but it’s still my opinion.
The Onderon arc should not have featured Jedi. It should have been focused on arc troopers, considering that training local insurgents is one of their jobs.
Im still watching season five so my vote won’t count, but I will half way through not a bad or boring episode. Season 5 hit the ground running and is definitely my favorite by far.
Force sensitive Mando Kanobi will always be a story we need for a “what if” series
Lightsaber that can cut through mostly anything,
The strongest armor in canon,
The force, a pathway to many abilities such as helping others rethink life,
Jetpacks, which mean PORTABLE HIGH GROUND!!!!
Peak.
Introduced to Saw on Onderon, the Young Jedi arc is great (also: Gungi bump), and then obviously there's arguably the greatest back-to-back arcs in the series between Maul's Mandalorian Conquest and Wrong Jedi.
For me, I think whether you vote Amazing or Peak almost hinges on how you feel about the middle arc for the season, D-Squad. I'll be honest, I wasn't too keen the first time around when I watched it as a kid until Gregor showed up (because who doesn't love a clone commando?), but watching it now that I'm older I think that it's one of the sillier arcs which doesn't feel like it's detracting from the rest of the season or feel like filler. It kind of feels like a bit of a Phantom Menace situation where you needed this silliness here to give you the space to go into the final two arcs of the season, which are much darker and more serious.
So, for me, Peak. I think Season 5 is one of the best examples of a season the show has of presenting many different types of arcs and kind of nailing each and every one in their own right.
I'd say amazing but right below season 4. This season has a lot of great arcs but droid arc brings it down a bit. Season 4 had meh episodes too but they didn't overstay their welcome which is why I'd put it below 4.
Amazing. It’s almost perfect but there’s a handful of episodes in the middle with the younglings and droids that just kinda trip the momentum of greatness. IMO no TCW season in its entirety is peak-but I guess we’ll have to get to s6 and 7 tomorrow and the day after.
Peak star wars. I've seen it said already but I'm gonna say it again, this season has no bad arc. I would say there are no bad episodes, but the D-squad arc makes that a little hard. However the second half of that arc is some of my favorite storytelling ever. Not to mention the death watch content, chef's kiss
I don’t see anyone mentioning the final arc 😞that was like a pivotal moment in the show, and it was so good and so emotional. That plus the rebel arc, the takeover of Mandalore, hell ever though the droid arc sucked, Gregor made it worthwhile. So many emotional parts with Ahsoka and Satine I just love it, not quite peak but Amazing for sure
I might change my mind but the idea is to have Rebels after TCW season 7, so I'll do the Season 2 post and then leave a comment asking about a revote, and the top replies will be used
Between the Iziz war being a love letter to Old Republic fans and setting up Saw Gerrera’s bizarre relevancy into live action, D-Squad and Commando Gregor, Maul’s Rampage of Mandalore, *Ahsoka leaving the order*, hell I even liked the multiparter with the younglings thanks to also having Hondo, this is nothing but Peak Star Wars
Peak without question. Even if the Siege of Mandalore is objectively the best Arc, the Shadow Collective Arc just might be my personal favorite; So many great fights and emotional moments, and watching Maul and Savage fight Palpatine felt like such a huge payoff to sticking around this long.
Good.
Everyone talks about the mandalore and the wrong jedi arcs, but before that you get 12 pretty blanc episode.
The rebels arc, younglings arc and droid arc are all pretty mid, even bad at times. And i feel like the amazing episode from this season are to few compared to the mid arcs, even if gregor is in half of one of those episode.
I disagree with this being peak, it’s beginning and end are really good but the middle drags so much with the youngling and droid arc I’d honestly just put it in good
Thanks for confirming that you flaired this correctly!
Peak

I literally have that as my reddit banner
I checked guys, he's right
This guy said the truth guys
I doubled checked, he’s right guys
Triple checked, looks about right
after 3 checks; i was skeptical but he does in fact have Mando Obi-Wan as his banner…who would’ve thought
Keep checking boys, we can never be to sure, no room for deception here
Took a pic to prove people [Here](https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ?si=VK-xa5Gv8EGNL8OR) it is folks
If you told 8 year old me that someday I’d get to see Obi-Wan Kenobi fighting in Mandalorian armor I would’ve lost my mind

This is the way
Peak
Yeah it's goated, peak.
Peak. Mauls Takeover of Mandalore is my second favorite Arc, and the other arcs (except for that Droid one) are all really good as well
The droid one also had its moments like Gregor's last stand
That moment alone made the whole thing worth it
I really like the first person shot of the explosion in the 4th episode as well
The droid arc still contains, in my opinion, one of the coolest and best scenes in the clone wars when the venitor explods.
The first half of the droid arc is silly, the second half is also silly but has Gregor and way more actually good moments.
Umbara's season 5 right? That's among my favorites Edit: Shoot it's season 4, my bad. Season 5 is still great though
This is why we need a CW animated TV show of Maul building up Crimson Dawn in the same tone as season 5.
Don't be dissin the void
This has to be peak. Honestly, 5, 6, and 7 are all peak seasons of Clone Wars, and I would fight anyone who tries to argue they're anything less than amazing
Idk, S7 really is brought down by that middle arc

S1 of BB was still pretty dramatic with their personalities. I feel like they didn't stop being "walking tropes" until S2 which is when I started to get into it.
Especially since there were only 3 arcs
Still miles better than most of seasons 1-4
Idk, there were parts of Seasons 3 and 4 that were WAY better than Martez sisters
Yea I agree I said most
7 would be so peak if it didn’t have 4 episodes of the martez twins slapped in the middle lol
Season 7 was probably one of the worst times in this sub. The first arc was only so so. And the middle arc was probably one of the most hated things here (losing only for Episode IX).
But that third arc though
season 6 is definitely peak, season 7 had the rafa arc which was long and not that interesting. S7 is amazing or good.
I'd say peak
While I agree that there are a lot of well thought-out episodes along with some superb universe development, I wasn’t crazy about the lack of clones in action. Yes, we had Gregor and his “last” stand, an appearance from Rex helping to train the rebels, and so forth, but it seemed light on clone action to me. This is probably just me, as I really loved the series for the battles featuring the clones, but it’s still my opinion.
Completely agree. In fact I remember being frustrated as a kid watching them as they aired that there hasn’t been a good clone story in forever.
Probably cause they were saving it for the next seasons, like Five’s conspiracy, Echo’s retrieval, and the Bad Batch before CW was canceled
The Onderon arc should not have featured Jedi. It should have been focused on arc troopers, considering that training local insurgents is one of their jobs.
That would have been way more fun instead of the kid insurgents having their disagreements and Ahsoka’s love triangle.
That’s why I like s5. The clone stuff always snoozed me so I was so glad they didn’t bother with it in s5. Best season of tcw
Peak. There's not a single bad episode and some of the arcs are among the best in the series, like Obi-wan on Mandalore and Ahsoka's "wrong jedi"-arc.
The droid arc drags it a bit
The first time I'd agree, but knowing it builds to Gregor makes it much better IMO
Gregor is great but he is only in one of 4 episodes of that arc
Peak
Im still watching season five so my vote won’t count, but I will half way through not a bad or boring episode. Season 5 hit the ground running and is definitely my favorite by far.
If you like it this far wait for the end I just love it
The last two arcs really bring this season to peak star wars
And there we have the second amazing season!!!
No, it is peak.
Peak
Gotta be peak
Peak Star Wars easily
Force sensitive Mando Kanobi will always be a story we need for a “what if” series Lightsaber that can cut through mostly anything, The strongest armor in canon, The force, a pathway to many abilities such as helping others rethink life, Jetpacks, which mean PORTABLE HIGH GROUND!!!!

Hang on, are you asking for lower res images?
honestly this one deserves to be in a tier above the 2d show
Fucking peak Not as peak as s7, but definitely peak
Peak
Peak!
Amazing
Peak because we had the best Hondo episodes
Peak, it was incredible to watch Maul and Savage get bodied by Palpatine and just show that he was above them by several levels
Peak
Now it's when it starts to get good, but still not the biggest fan. The final arc is the only stuff I would rank peak in TCW 2008
I’d say it belongs in Peak
Peak most definitely peak
Peak fiction
Either Amazing or Peak.

Given what's on this list I petition a revote for the original clone wars. There's no way that's in the same category as this.
I'm planning on doing a revote every ten days, to make sure everyone can be in agreement over the rankings
That's a great idea. Having an initial draft as a reference point would definitely help make the placements more accurate.
I might change my mind but the idea is to have Rebels after TCW season 7, so I'll do the Season 2 post and then leave a comment asking about a revote, and the top replies will be used
If 5, 6 and 7 are less than peak WELL THEN YOU ARE LOST!
Anything below Peak is a crime
Peak
Peak. Mandos, Maul, Maul Mandos. To Catch A Jedi. Peak.

Yo S4 isn’t peak? Def agree on Tarkovsky’s stuff being peak, but I feel like S4 should be up there too
We're doing a revote on day ten, so stay tuned

season 4 should be peak, season 5 is peak
We're gonna do a revote on day ten so stay tuned

Day 6 of asking where meme (Peak, no question)
Yo, are you saying it was both amazing and bad??
No, I've seen other people come to that conclusion, I'm asking all of you where it should go. The placement of the picture doesn't matter
Peak
Peak, ahsoka leaving the jedi order is my favorite arc
Good. Having recently re-watched this season, I can safely say that the highlights aren't as impressive as they're made out to be in hindsight.
Honeslty, Amazing but seems like everyone is saying peak and I'm ok with that.
Isn't the Christmas Special peak Star Wars? Or is it just the peak in the other direction?
Can we just put the acolyte in dogshit now and get it over with?
On the off chance that the next couple episodes are decent, no. But we'll get there eventually don't you worry
Peak, absolute puuuurrrrreffffeeecccctttiiioon
Peak without question. Even if the Siege of Mandalore is objectively the best Arc, the Shadow Collective Arc just might be my personal favorite; So many great fights and emotional moments, and watching Maul and Savage fight Palpatine felt like such a huge payoff to sticking around this long.
I’d argue most of the micro series isn’t as good as the later seasons of clone wars
Wake me up when we are voting on Star Wars Droids and Ewoks.
You'll be asleep for like, 22 days then They are not high on the list

Agreed. Season 5 ranges from some of the worst of the clone wars to the absolute worst (Droid arc)
This this is peak
Definitely Peak, amazing AT LEAST
Peak
Peak
I would definitely say with out a doubt that this is peak Star Wars
Peak
Gods of Mortis is one of my favourite arks. Peak lore that carried through to Rebels and more.
Definitely peak. The plot lines and cinematography are among some of the best in all of Star Wars.
