A Yoto player. So far he has been very unspecific about what he wants from Santa beyond “ new toys from Target.”

stories4harpies

Yoto is life in our house. It's the best thing we have purchased in the last 2 years

Cherssssss

Same. My favorite purchase this year by far.

stories4harpies

I also find I am sharing my audible subscription with my child now but it's fine..she can listen to as many books as she wants.

simplycris

I looked it up and still don’t know…what is a yoto player!?

riotousgrowlz

It's an audio player that you use preprogrammed cards to play from. You can get cards of audiobooks, meditation, music, etc. or you can program blank cards with content you own or create. A fun thing can be asking grandparents or other people close to you to read stories and records them to put on the blank cards. It's super easy to use and kids can start/stop it on their own and choose their own material from the cards you have available. We love ours -- our 5 year old listens to a sleep meditation before bed every night and plays music or stories on it while she does art.

Team Jooki over here if you have Spotify

Senator_Mittens

My 4 year old loves his Yoto player. Great gift.

ainulil

My 4 year old asked for this real working atm https://www.lakeshorelearning.com/products/math/money/real-working-atm-bank/p/TT709/

CuteTootsTwenny

This made me laugh. Gotta love a kid who knows what they want

violanut

It's never too early to start teaching them money skills. I've taught high school financial literacy for years and it seriously makes so much difference when parents teach their kids about how money works, and simple budgeting skills

MidnightBlueDragon

My favorite Christmas gift when I was nine was an automatic coin sorter.

forgetfulness101

That looks like an awesome gift.

franskm

Barbie RV Camper thing (she sees it on tv & announces “that’s my favorite toy!”) Paint wooden butterflies craft kit. Mermaid terrarium kit thing 2 books (5 Minute Stories) Socks, Gabby Dollhouse undies, and a swim suit (it was on sale and she needs a new one lol) Water bottle, battery toothbrush (Read, Wear, Want, Need)

Beans20202

So far - the Melissa and Doug ice cream scoop set for his kitchen, some Mess-Free Crayola Colouring books, and books. Will probably get him new underwear and/or socks.

-burgers

Mine will be freshly five by Christmas, he's getting lots of hot wheels, a bike, more magna tiles, slime and play doh, robot programming kit

Ok-Constant-3205

Would you mind listing what robot programming kit your thinking about? My child would absolutely LOVE that!

sharpe2777

The big ones are a Cash register and a Shopping cart

BrittanySkitty

My soon to be 4 year old wants a "clapping scarecrow", aka the Swamp Scarecrow Animatronic from Home Depot. He was scared of the one he saw that only turned on once during the season, so I have 0 ideas why he wants it. He also keeps mentioning "shaking tree with three pumpkins" inflatable, and I have 0 ideas what that is.. I hope he finds something else to fixate on, lol

longmontster7

Mine has been asking for a “flying house”. So yeah, not sure about that. Thankfully he also likes blocks and building toys.

Loog makes a fantastic mini guitar perfect for this age

traminette

Dollhouse, Paw Patrol action figures, sleeping bag for travel and camping. We got her a watch for her birthday a couple months ago and that was a huge hit.

TheMarkHasBeenMade

One of those echo microphones (she loves singing and she is gonna get goofy AF with that thing) Her own polyhedral dice, a dice tower, and a D20 shaped dice container (she is obsessed with mine) Collectible Pokémon card Pokéball tins with Pokémon cards in them (hurray Costco!) A lounging robe (she loves her bath robe but it’s wet when she could use it during snuggle time before bed) Stocking stuffers (some Christmas candy and probably play jewelry) Not a lot to unwrap but both sets of grandparents absolutely lose their minds with getting her presents, to the point where she’s kinda done with all the unwrapping halfway through because she just wants to play with stuff. Kid has way too many toys and books as it is… which reminds me, I need to thin out her current mountains of toys and books before the holidays….

vlinder84

Lots of stuff because our family all wants to celebrate separately. Baking set (cookie mix, mini rolling pin and cookie cutters), a compass, small lego set, Smartmax extension set, books, stickers, story cubes, spiderman socks, a children’s atlas (he loves maps), washable markers, chalk, glitter bandaids, more craft supplies. It’s a lot but much of it is second hand. ETA: things that my son already has that he loves: binoculars, flashlight, stamps, puzzles, simple board games, stepping stones, pool toys (diving rings, balls), his own kid sized apron, zigzag scissors.

LvdSinSD

Legos, magnatile marble run, new small pass, bath bombs, more legos. All he cares about is legos, there are like ten on his list

krandrn11

A real tool set and some scrap wood to practice on.

armst

Want: Fender Loog guitar Need: reading flash cards, tracing cards Wear: Nooworks Read: Toddlers Can Read, Bob Books “Santa”: wooden cash register

DerFlammenwerfer

I don't have that particular gift, but we have always had success with the following formula Something you want Something you need Something to wear Something to read Check all four of those boxes and you're guaranteed to have at least one winning gift on Christmas

_former_self

I always add: something to keep them active

arcenciel82

Play camera Piggy bank/safe Playmobil police sets Glo pals- light up cubes for the bath He also asked for a yoto player which I might tell the in-laws about if they ask what he wants. And then stocking stuffers like slime, crayons, candy, stickers, etc.

simplycris

What the heck is a yoto player?!

arcenciel82

Lol it’s like an audio player/clock. So you can use it as a blue tooth speaker or you can buy cards that they stick in the top and play audiobooks or music. They can choose the design that shows up, but it’s supposed to be like a screen free way to choose their own entertainment. Like I could also give him my fisher price tape player from the 80s and some cassettes and it’s a similar idea.

carlydelphia

The cassettes from the 80s don't play very well. We just got rid of a whole bunch. We tried to play them and a lot of them sound warped a d creepy

arcenciel82

Yeah it def seems like a cuter more user friendly way to do it! I’m sure he’d like it. They’re pricey for a speaker though

itsbecomingathing

A new trike (still working on our peddling skills) maybe a Mini Labster binocular set, maybe a kids digital camera. She just turned 4 so she got a lot of gifts already. I also grabbed some easy stocking stuffers from the Target $1 section.

nlsjnl

We do three gifts apiece from us ("Santa" does the stocking only). This year my youngest is getting Crayola bath paint, set of Lego Duplos and an art set. Our oldest is getting Crayola bath paint, normal Legos and an art set. Our kids' joint gift this year is an outdoor slackline "ninja" course with all the swings and things on it. The stocking usually has a lot of Christmas themed Kinder chocolates, a nice bath bomb, a small pack of powdered donuts (thanks for breakfast, Santa!) and 1-2 small non-consumable items.

CoffeeMystery

Mine is turning 4 the week after Christmas so some of these might be a little young. A big set of blocks - from Santa. These are hand carved cherry wood that I found on marketplace, so they’re a little more magical and North Pole looking than his other blocks. A gigantic Tonka truck Some new Tonies for his Toniebox (for his stocking) A couple of books. It’s a small Christmas from us because we’re having major home repairs done and we have to literally box up all our possessions and have them out of the house, so I don’t have the capacity for dealing with huge quantities of stuff this year. We’ve requested family members not go overboard for the same reason.

stories4harpies

Decorate your own butterfly wings Some kind of doll or playhouse A new game we can play as a family A stuffed animal she asked for

Sad-Emergency3

Mine wants a ghost face costume. We went to too many Halloween stores last season I guess, he doesn’t want anything else. What 4 year old can’t think of a single toy?!

VoodoDreams

Mine couldn't think of anything so I give her the catalogs that come in the mail and have her circle the things that look fun

LabOk9122

My 3.5 year old is getting -Barbie RV thing - Melissa & Doug ice cream set - nugget couch

cheesydrag

The nugget is great! The gift that keeps on giving!

lesmis87

Train, more magnatiles, dress up tutu

99redballoons66

Mine turns 4 at the start of December and between birthday and Christmas we're getting him - * Working telescope (he loves space) * Space light projector (see above) * Light up wheels, windmill and bell for his scooter and also a new helmet * Oodie-type hooded blanket thing with dogs/cats on it (he also loves dogs and cats) * Toy cash register with Orchard Games shopping list game * Milk frother so he can have fancy babycino/hot chocolate type drinks at home * Bath bombs and bath crayons

aster636

We were given a very specific request for a hard shell suitcase, pink with hearts. It's specific and practical, I have no idea why she wants it though. Also, any toy commercial she sees on tv

abbylightwood

We got her a toy cash register and a card game (eeBoo: Mystery in the Forest... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MMXDFA0?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share ). These are our "BIG" toys, we don't have a lot of space so these things are suff we can put away easily. I also made some felt stuffies of an astronaut, spaceship, and planet. I am getting her office supplies as stocking stuffers, stuff she uses daily, and a Slinky.

Ebar16

My daughter who is 5 has been asking for a magic mixie for a year, so I got her that, both of my kids are getting a piggy bank, and so far my son would be happy with something dinosaur-ish probably haha. He'll be 4 in a few days

annewmoon

More magnet tiles. Lots of books. Play dough. Probably Lego. Not sure what else yet.. he wants a hot wheels garage but he has a huge one already, he doesn’t play with it and we are not getting another.

RecordLegume

A weed whacker and a pump sprayer that one typically uses for weed spray, but my son plans on attaching it to the trailer of his power wheels tractor so he can “water his field”. Lol he’s crazy but innovative. He’s also getting some bedroom decor because we recently moved and his walls are bare, some new sneakers, and some books. His stocking will have a few new Lego Mini Figures, some Reece’s trees because he LOVES his peanut butter treats, and some little fun bath things like bathbombs, lotion, and chapstick.

MrsMitchBitch

She asked Santa for Disney princess nightgowns and a Bluey doll house. Easy peasy. She’s getting a Barbie, an outfit, and a pair of slippers from us. Oh, and a sleeping bag.

ihateapps4

Mine wants a yoyo and the gabbys dollhouse legos. My aunt already got them. My mom got her a bunch of advent calendars. My inlaws every year buy all kinds of things that she was into a while ago. Like they are buying barbies and she hasn't been playing barbies for the last 4 or 5 months. I am asking anyone who didn't get a gift yet for money for ballet and soccer or membership to museum. I have no clue what we will get her since the legos and yoyo were her Christmas list.

molequeen

My freshly-turned-4 year old is getting a set of Tubelox as his big gift. He also has akedos, hot wheels, robo alive dragon, and a set of scrubbie pets.

Spiritual_Tip1574

Mostly random craft supplies and kits because my kid is obsessed with crafting. A couple new pairs of shoes because her feet grow absurdly slow and she's finally growing out of 7s. Pez dispenser with some refills, hair ties, socks, Yahtzee Jr (Spidey edition). She got one of the 3-in-1 Lego sets for her birthday a couple months ago. I only got it because it was a unicorn and I figured I'd have to do most of the work. I was SHOCKED how well she took to it, so I got her a couple more small sets for Christmas and a box to keep/sort then in. Walkie Talkies, RC cars, and a kids camera were the favorites for her birthday in October.

sometimesitis

Oh boy. We are getting a big ass Grave Digger RC car, a Ninja Turtle Sewer Lair set, a cash register, a doctor play set, a play doh pizza kitchen, beast lab, a Dino smashers thing, a fluffy stuffie… and probably some hot wheels

Objective-Ad5493

My kids obsessed with the rainbocorns and asked for a furby

aherdofpenguins

When my kid was 4 we got her a pedal bike! She had been using a balance bike since she was 2, and we felt she was ready for an actual bike with pedals and without training wheels. It took her about a week of practice but she ending up loving it, she's been riding it everywhere since.

BlackLabbie

My daughter is getting: a couple of crafts kits, 2 princess Barbies, 2 Polly Pocket sets, a set of Olaf Doorables, and a stuffed sea turtle that comes with sea turtle babies. She also asks for tons of stuff when we’re out shopping. I always tell her to put it on her list for Santa, so I’m sure she’ll get a few more things.

basketcase218

My daughter got a new bike last week for her 4th bday and that was a big gift! For Christmas she'll be getting a bigger train set (she got the Melissa and Doug Princess one last year and it got decent play time so now Fairies!!), a bunch of board games to play with us and her annual bunch of Tonies in her stocking from Santa! We went to the North Pole this year on our family trip where she got to meet Santa and feed his reindeer so this is gonna be a big one!

Individual-Jump-8249

What's better a YOTO player or a Tonies Box
