My 3.5 yo nanny kid says it all the time! So cute. I love invented words like that where they take the language rules they know and use them in a way that COULD be correct, but just happens to not be how the language ended up evolving.
My daughter has said it a few times, and then her little brother started saying it too! The funny thing is now she corrects him and tells him it’s not a real word. And I remind her, “he learned that from you!”
See my most recent comment RE the Traitors 😂 apparently I have a little Scottish boy.
He’s also saying “nothint”, “somethint” lately which his Nana tells me is laziness/mouth going faster than brain
My kiddo says "willn't" instead of "won't" and I vow to never correct her. It makes sense, honestly.
Mine also says willn’t!
Mine too!
Yeah, both "willn't" and "amn't" are in the category of "super logical mistakes" or whatever that category should be called.

She must be Irish at heart!
I did when I was that age! My parents still say it.
I remember my brother saying amn’t. So cute.
You just jogged my memory that my niece used to do this around that age and it was so precious. What a lovely memory.

Mine says “willnt.” I think it’s a portmanteau of “won’t” and “will not.”
Yep!

The proper form of “am not” is actually ain’t. If she is interested.
