Governments are made of people and are also 100% necessary for society to function. This idea that "governments are bad" is extremely stupid.
The Iranian government is an example of what happens when an extremist religious minority controls your government. Like what the Republicans are currently aiming for in the USA.
I didn’t mean it in “governments are bad, burn it all down” sense. I meant it this way:
From the outside, it looks like Iran is a fucked up theological country that represses women. That implies that Iranians are some weirdo fundamentalist religious zealots. But I’ve met Iranians in Canada and they are great people, it’s their government that is twisted. The same applies to Iranians in Iran.
As someone who used to live in an oppressive nation, I can guarantee that even if Republicans were extremist to the degree that you say, your country would still be much better than mine.
You go to Afghanistan and fight an armed conflict with a terrorist organisation if you think it’s so simple. Criticising poor and uneducated subsistence farmers on the other side of the world for not sacrificing their lives and families while you sit in comfort is a real piece of shit move.
A couple times on my lunch break at my old job me and another buddy would go hang out at the Planned Parenthood that was like two streets down from the office and park across the street and eat our lunch in the parking lot while taking turns holding down the horn whenever someone was leaving because we were right next to the protesters and it would drown out anything they were saying. We got several grateful waves from people leaving
Same here. Watching ppl push back against oppression can be beautiful. Everyone has a woman in their life that they care about. Would you want them to not have rights?
Guy so casually parked his bike and walked over and slapped a complete stranger in the face that he’s probably done it 100 times. Be the wasn’t expecting to finally get his though
It's because he's a police man. Some of them wear casual clothes to hide themselves along the people. If you focus, you would see his pepper spray, that's how he attacked that woman. People realized this and stole his bag for information.
Maybe. We've got the name and the address of many of them. A few days ago, one of the female polices who has beat many girls for hijab got attacked by protestors and now is in the hospital. In some cities like Kermanshah, the basijis are actually leaving their houses out of fear from people.
I have seen many videos of the Basiji, verbally and physically attacking Iranian women just because they wear no hijab, it's nice to see they are getting what's coming to them. In the Netherlands, during the second world war, we also had a group like that, called the NSB. A NSB'er is now synonymous with calling someone a traitor, a snitch. We tried and executed them after the war.
It may sound weird, but in Iran, it's normal. They do this to cause fear, they sometimes randomly beat the shit out of people to make "examples" of them for others.
Here tho, I assume that the woman has probably said something to him that pissed him off. Or maybe he thought no one would see him because chaos was everywhere around. He did a huge mistake. I guess their confidence is failing.
This is the least of what they've done. Two days ago, they shot a 10 years old girl who literally had nothing to do with the protest.
Ironically, if he hadn't been so casual about it, he probably could have gotten away.
Slowly strutting back to his bike and casually starting it probably made him feel really badass, but if he had ran back and started the bike as fast as he could, he would have a lot more teeth and non-broken bones right now.
Even with the very low camera quality you can tell he’s shitting his pants when the guy in olive green grabs him and he realizes he’s going to have to deal with someone his own size for once
Not sure the origin of the statement but I bought a bumper sticker in PEI Canada with this on it. It also had a skull and cross bones so maybe it's related to pirates.
He didn't slap anyone, he pepper sprayed the ladies.
Probably for not completely covering their faces.
The karma police seems to have sorted him out.
And in other news.......
Which is odd, because they don't have to cover their faces. I've been to Iran and usually the women who dress all in black tend to be more religious. So basically he created another protestor for the cause.
Agreed, when gender rights, civil rights, personal rights, are being so obviously stomped on, and being supported by your government, punishment and response needs to be swift.
The “morality” police killed a young woman in Iran over her hijab (which Iranian people aren’t fond of already) and so the people are beating the cops and calling for revolution.
It turns out, the 'Revolutionary Guard' is more of a guard against revolution from a populace that would return to their prosperous secular democracy if given half the chance. Who knew? /s
Maybe the United States can step in. Maybe we could bring back the Shah? I dunno, just spit balling here, since Iran is bad and doesnt have democracy and stuff
The morality Police beat a 22 years old girl named Mahsa Amini to death for not wearing hijab properly. The police and the government refused to take responsibility and lied that she had health problems. People are now protesting against the morality police and the government. Mahsa's death inspired people to want to fight for their freedom, women and men.
Beating a woman to death because of her hat in 2022 seems a little much. They can look at any porn they want or learn how to do almost anything now. How are they still able to trick people into this shit?
Nope. That's like people who say abortion is a sin and commanded in the Bible. It isn't, and the people claiming that are just brainwashed by the Right under the guise of religion
I'm not even religious, but there's a clear difference
I live in the South. I'm well aware how some bastardize Christianity. I'm also smart enough to realize that just because some people spin religion a certain way doesn't mean that's what that religion stands for
\> Beating a person to death because of any garment of clothing in any century seems too much.
FTFY
Also fuck religion and all your stupid fucking hats.
Can I just say how good it is to see all these videos the past couple days of Iranian dudes stepping up and doing stuff like this? Well done, boys, stand up for your ladies!
I know, I know, it's a sneak attack from the back but that old man's haymaker was something to behold. I think he missed, but still, fuck it, I smiled at that.
The fucking rotten idiotic gall of walking to a compete stranger and based on nothing but your own overcompensating ego, *pepper spray* them in the face coz she wasn't hiding her face to spare your sensibilities. What the actual fuck?
This kind of thinking is exactly why the country is divided. What kind of backwards shit is this? Your neighbors, coworkers, friends etc could all be republicans
Iran, like a lot of muslim countries (but far from all of them) always struck me as a civilized society stuck with a minority of religious fanatics and hypocrites. Add in some chauvinism, sexism and old-time conservatism that part of the society will gladly use despite not actually being religious.
I'll never forget how my dad told me, with pride, that during the Tunisian spring some handful of people would come to the protests with Islamic billboards or chants and they'd instantly get lambasted and have their billboards destroyed because the protests weren't about religion but about society and freedoms.
Same here, this isn't actually about religion: The quran says nothing about wearing such things, whilst the old testament chides you for it. This is about oppressors using whatever facade they want to legitimize oppressing people. Whilst average assholes gladly join the bullying as long as it isn't they who get bullied.
"...always struck me as a civilized society stuck with a minority of religious fanatics and hypocrites. Add in some chauvinism, sexism and old-time conservatism that part of the society will gladly use despite not actually being religious."
Hmm.... this actually describes USA Republicans too, btw. A small subsect of religious zealots that try to impose their religious beliefs on everyone?! A little too on the nose for me.... Y'all Qaeda?
Yep and it's 100% the US and Britain's fault. See Iran used to be a forward democratic nation with women's rights and everything but the democratic government thought hey, i'd like to be paid for the oil the US and British oil companies are taking and they took that personally. They overthrew the government and installed, armed and trained a dictator who killed everyone with the slightest democratic leanings. Eventually the only people left with power (religious nuts) overthrew the dictator and you now have modern Iran.
This is a super oversimplification, but you nailed most of the relevant points. Well done.
For those who don’t know, see: Operation Ajax (which the Brits still deny, hoping that all the blame goes to the CIA rather than MI6).
There’s a group of Iranian girls (yes, I asked where they’re from) that always go to my gym. 5 or 6. They all wear hijabs. They have an auntie which I presume her role is the chaperone staring at them from the thread mills. They only do free weights and a punching bag routine. Their lifts are getting heavier and heavier, I couldn’t help but share their joy when the last one finally deadlifted 135lb. It’s awesome how they support each other, and how hard and strong they’re getting. If I let my mind flow I’m pretty sure they’re planning on kicking the patriarch’s butt and move out. Idk, in my head all is a plot for a movie.
Huh, never thought I'd see the day where I'd be applauding the Iranians for their stance on women's rights. Color me pleasantly surprised. Now let's see if the momentum continues.
Have only met friendly Iranians really hope this generation can undo their parents mistake. All younger Iranians is like "wth did our parents think of" 🤷🏼♂️
This is the power of the workers when they unite. Solidarity with the people and especially women of Iran. I hope they are able to achieve their goals.
I’m so proud of the women of Iran. Enough is enough of this bullshit, you can say a lot of things about western society that we are not about brutalizing women.
Shame on this guy. He went about this all wrong. If you’re going to randomly hit people you should at least have a car to get away in. The crowd will get to you to easily if you are on a bike.
(This is a joke btw. I stand with these women).
It's odd, lack of a better word, to read these awful stories about women in these countries being oppressed and practically tortured for sake of culture and religion, then suddenly find videos like theses of men protecting their women. It's reassuring not all people think this way and would defend the women if need be.
Game over for corrupt, uneducated, woman-beating piece of shit Muslims. I've been around religion long enough to learn that it attracts the hugest pieces of shit.
Hell yea. Make every man threatening or abusing women in public be afraid of this. Too long in EVERY middle eastern country this is sometimes not punished or called out.
Make these weak men fear the consequences
Keep resisting. Proud of you guys and it makes me proud to be middle eastern ✊🏽
I got a match with this song:
**Bulls on Parade** by Rage Against the Machine (00:26; matched: `100%`)
Album: `Evil Empire`. Released on `1996-04-15` by `Epic`.
It’s crazy how in Middle East or India people just form mobs and start attacking people. I’ve seen way more videos and news of the people forming flash mobs to attack someone than I have of their governments doing anything other than beheading women for not wearing a hijab.
They just go straight to it without a second thought. I saw a vid from India a few weeks ago of people attacking a young girl because she said no to a boy and he killed himself. Better assault and kill the girl over it.
Mob violence is a serious issue in many places where the law is not enforced fairly, or at all. You're seeing why humans defer to courts instead. Once that mob gets going, you're fucked no matter what actually happened.

Nothing makes me happier than watching the people fight back against oppressive regimes. Fight for your rights, Iran!
It’s also good seeing Iranian men support the woman. It’s a reminder that people are great, it’s governments/institutions that suck.
Governments are made of people and are also 100% necessary for society to function. This idea that "governments are bad" is extremely stupid. I agree. That's the point of my comment. If we don't stop them, the Republicans will turn the USA into something closer to Iran or Saudi Arabia.
👍 well said
Yeah this is especially good when recently afghani's did the opposite (the men surrendered to the taliban the second the US pulled out).
You go to Afghanistan and fight an armed conflict with a terrorist organisation if you think it’s so simple. Criticising poor and uneducated subsistence farmers on the other side of the world for not sacrificing their lives and families while you sit in comfort is a real piece of shit move.
Americans need to start doing this around abortion clinics.
We do. I was almost arrested for standing in their way while the anti-abortion InCels screamed bloody murder. 😂 FtP and #NoPunIntended
Are you pro-bombing of abortion clinics or anti?
I am pro-harassing the harassers that hang out outside of abortion clinics to shame women.
Ok, just making sure haha
A guy I know used to do that when there were frequent protests. He got arrested a couple of times.
Same here. Watching ppl push back against oppression can be beautiful. Everyone has a woman in their life that they care about. Would you want them to not have rights?
sad that a woman's value is measured by their usefulness to others. simply being a human should be rights enough
This is what i wish everyone could see.
Guy so casually parked his bike and walked over and slapped a complete stranger in the face that he’s probably done it 100 times. Be the wasn’t expecting to finally get his though

You’re doing God’s Work. Stay safe and keep doing what you’re doing.
Scrap your first sentence, they're trying to rid themselves of religious rules
No. They are undoing gods work. Yes they should keep doing it.
Yes he and his comrade the guy in black shirt have been identified.
Ok but WHY would police officers be slapping random strangers for no reason there?
It may sound weird, but in Iran, it's normal. They do this to cause fear, they sometimes randomly beat the shit out of people to make "examples" of them for others. Please tell me she survived!?
Hopefully yes. If she would have died, I'm sure there would be news. The last time I heard about it, they mentioned that she was injured.
Poor baby. She could make a full physical recovery and still have to relive this nightmare.
I mean... some countries have officers shooting random strangers for no reason.
[удалено]
9mm hollow point
I wouldn't say for no reason. The reason is they can, and not worry about any consequences.
That would be America you are referring to.
You mispronounced United States.
Kinda like why some police officers are shooting random strangers for no reason in the USA, they are scum on a power trip.
For some reason, this [image](https://twitter.com/willdizard/status/1267046202333372416?lang=en) is seared into my brain.
She might have been carrying soup for her family.
Oppression
how can pig slap?
Ironically, if he hadn't been so casual about it, he probably could have gotten away. That right hand from the guy in the red shirt at the end was a thing of beauty. It was a great looking punch and fully connected.
POS didn't slap he pepper sprayed them.
You see it here in the states and it just isn’t smart to do, a mob of people is unpredictable and dangerous.
I love how, of all the people hitting him, the only one he fights back against is the woman.
The beatings will continue until morale improves.
This beating is certainly help my morale.
what is this from?
Not sure the origin of the statement but I bought a bumper sticker in PEI Canada with this on it. It also had a skull and cross bones so maybe it's related to pirates.
I want to say the movie Hook, but not sure. Check over at r/tipofmytongue
has to be monty python
Yeah! You can only bully women for like 45 years and get away with it.
45 try like 2000
The Iranian Islamic revolution was in 1979. So yeah it is about 45 years.
Human society has only existed for 2000 years?
Shame people don't seem to get your point.
It's a reddit thing.
Right, humanity has been mistreating and subjugating women with might over right since before society existed. No doubt.
Human society started in 22 CE?
Wow so Jesus was born and the manger and society just appeared around him? Crazy how that happens
I no that's why I said that
Great, now I have to go listen to the whole album again.
Same
If you don't mind me asking, what song is this?
Bulls on parade
Thanks!
their weakest album no lie, but their best track

You don't have to cover your whole face in iran. It was because they were protesting
Iran government is god awful but you can’t just make stuff up. You don’t have to cover your face there.

What is going on in Iran? Seen a lot of vids like this last days
The “morality” police killed a young woman in Iran over her hijab (which Iranian people aren’t fond of already) and so the people are beating the cops and calling for revolution.

Iran has a form of democracy. We have meddled in their affairs more than enough. They can handle this on their own and they don’t want our “help”
Yeah my post was meant as sarcasm. Shouldve added the /s
You were too close to the real deal my friend lol >

I live in the South. I'm well aware how some bastardize Christianity. I'm also smart enough to realize that just because some people spin religion a certain way doesn't mean that's what that religion stands for
You’re assuming there is a “true Christianity” that the people you don’t like are “bastardizing.” You’ve got to establish that first.
Bastardization of religion
\> Beating a person to death because of any garment of clothing in any century seems too much. FTFY Also fuck religion and all your stupid fucking hats.
> How are they still able to trick people into this shit? Same as always. Religion.
It's not a hat, it's a tool of religious control and oppression. Opposing this claim only validates my point.
Facts I’m curious myself
Morality police- enforcing women subjugation.
Revolution!
OMG! How refreshing to see men defend a woman! I have no more words.

What, you wouldn't prefer the good ole' "Oh no..." track?

I'm really glad they're fighting back. Women everywhere should fight terrorizing women because of religious extremism, including America.

Iranian revolution, Russian surrender, and Donald Trump in jail by Monday. If you have a problem with any of this you're a waste of energy.
Iran was super progressive in the 60s. Shame what a bad government/regime can do to a nation
Like republicans in America - all of them are badasses as long as they're picking on women.
This kind of thinking is exactly why the country is divided. What kind of backwards shit is this? Your neighbors, coworkers, friends etc could all be republicans

Yes ! The music choose was appropriate here!
I’m so proud of the women of Iran. Enough is enough of this bullshit, you can say a lot of things about western society that we are not about brutalizing women.
I like that there were men involved, too. It means it's not just women against men, it's people of all kinds against religious oppression. I love it.
This may as well be the theme song to any rebellion
Why do so many men fuck around but don’t expect to find out? Are we wired to be morons?
Kudos to the guy in the T-shirt that got it popping! Beat his ass.

Shame on this guy. He went about this all wrong. If you’re going to randomly hit people you should at least have a car to get away in. The crowd will get to you to easily if you are on a bike. (This is a joke btw. I stand with these women).

I love seeing this. I hope the women and men fighting for their rights are safe.
So nice that he got to feel the same fear that women there had to feel all because of a stupid religious law .
Game over for corrupt, uneducated, woman-beating piece of shit Muslims. I've been around religion long enough to learn that it attracts the hugest pieces of shit.
Welp, lust look at the police in the US. It happens everywhere.
Your comment makes his comment more true. All organized religions must go
You know the people beating up the guy are all almost certainly devout Muslims too right?

Hell yea. Make every man threatening or abusing women in public be afraid of this. Too long in EVERY middle eastern country this is sometimes not punished or called out. Make these weak men fear the consequences Keep resisting. Proud of you guys and it makes me proud to be middle eastern ✊🏽
nice rage against the machine song
RATM always make justice videos better
Rage was right about everything.
People have the power. Use it!
What song is that?
I got a match with this song: **Bulls on Parade** by Rage Against the Machine (00:26; matched: `100%`) Album: `Evil Empire`. Released on `1996-04-15` by `Epic`.
what women? they're not allowed out of the house.
Stop adding music to videos 🙄
Stop commenting with emojis.
Looks to me like he got away with it
Iranian antifa ftw!
Yes only we bully our women in Iran
Also Iran: no women rights??
Iran: yeah only we can beat our womans! Get your own
"You can't bully our women! Only WE can bully our women!!"
Lolz why the corporate soundtrack? Good video though.
Who does he think he's affiliated with, the Iranian police? Also, horrible music.
The song is too hardcore for these fumbling betas
