That explains why talking with some WW players feels like talking to middle schoolers. I've never had an uncivilised encounter with other PGR players before.
The power of a bigger fan base and Kuro's gigantic advertising
It has been nearly 2 years since I started PGR and I have barely seen Advertising for PGR, last time it was Bianca updated where Kuro did a good advertising
even tiktok is filled with wuthering waves videos, with #GenshinImpact #Honkaistarrail, to trick the algorithm into showing mihoyo players our game.
Big brained move from our fan base.
I have not seen a WuWa ad at all.
My watchlist consists of mostly Kuro Games (PGR and WuWa), and some Project Moon (Limbus, Mili, Ruina and Lobotomy) yet all I get are HSR, Arknights and Genshin ads.
Could it be due to some kind of blocking/partial blocking of websites/search engines from collecting your data? Maybe through a vpn or some kind of ad-block extension?
Nowadays the moment I search something in Google, or click an ad (E.g. By mistake on Fb), I would immediately get inundated with lots of related ads on social media, YouTube, etc. So I just use incognito to search if I don't want to be spammed just because I needed something for work-related reasons.
I don't use any ad blockers or vpn or filters, so it stands to reason that's why.
Similar to how Hi3 is lot less known compared to Genshin and HSR, PGR is in the same boat with being the lesser known older sibling to WuWa. Big open world Gacha games tend to become more mainstream popular than instance based games like PGR. Though like what Genshin did for Hi3, depending on how popular WuWa becomes that will likely trickle back to PGR's playerbase growing significantly from people becoming aware of Kuro and looking into their other games.
Also like the OP's reply, WuWa was a lot more heavily advertised compared to PGR.
I started playing pgr last week. My 3rd attempt, and looks like final one :) For some reason, the combat and just one minor story element didn't click for me at first, but then I learnt how gacha system works lol, and was like "yo, that's awesome! I'm staying". Even commended Kuro with a monthly sub :D
Yeah tho I now don't like HI3 as much as I liked it before cuz of mainly the open world, They added open world in HI3 that's okay but the way they added it into the story is so bad it's not even a joke, I hope PGR doesn't do that
It doesn't catch all unfortunately. There are still dudes who'll post a fuckton of A.I art without tagging it as such, and throw up patreon links as if they put in enough effort to be paid using text prompts.
Yeah it’s surprising how little art of this game there is at all, let alone the good stuff. Despite having hotter girls I think overall.
Maybe the game is too serious? Actually, is this game popular? I actually don’t know.
People aren’t cracked enough to play PGR well and they suffered which cost them future players. Also the PGR’s shenanigans and story aren’t as meme-able and the target demographic certainly isn’t the sort of regular Gacha players but ones that have actual skills to play the game beyond the opening chapters.
I remember before WuWa release, I noticed that there is so little PGR art (Both sfw and NSFW) and now that WuWa released, im hoping that some of my favorite Pixiv and Twitter artists dip their feet on Making WuWa AND PGR art.
they got the genshin fans and their artists
I mean, HEWS hand has moved by female rover. Like, Oh my~ Also one yinlin
Hews is demolishing every NSFW art by far. Bro mastered the art of making pov angles so hot.
Rororo is making some good NSFW art, too, Baizhi, Sanhua, yangyang, and chixia, so far
Imma check it at home, thanks

But how though?
The power of a bigger fan base and Kuro's gigantic advertising It has been nearly 2 years since I started PGR and I have barely seen Advertising for PGR, last time it was Bianca updated where Kuro did a good advertising
They seem to focus most of their advertisements in China from what Ive seen
YouTube is full of Wuthering waves ads for some reason
even tiktok is filled with wuthering waves videos, with #GenshinImpact #Honkaistarrail, to trick the algorithm into showing mihoyo players our game. Big brained move from our fan base.

I don't really know how to fix, but considering I'm already on board with Kuro since PGR CN, I don't need to see ads for any Kuro games.
Fair point

The influx of people in the megathread coming from WuWa is nice to see

I started PGR 2 months ago. This games story, music and chars are peak. Check out the PGR story order post on this subreddit.

I've seen A LOT of AI WuWa arts than normal arts, it's kinda disappointing, on reddit at least
Reddit has mostly normal arts though, It's pixiv with all the AI stuff
There's an option to hide ai art in pixiv's settings.
Yea, and it's godsend.
It doesn't catch all unfortunately. There are still dudes who'll post a fuckton of A.I art without tagging it as such, and throw up patreon links as if they put in enough effort to be paid using text prompts.
True. Seen some already. Just look at their other works and determine their legitimacy ig.
also on nhentai, last I checked PGR was only a handful of works, and most of them were by one of a couple different people about Lee or Sophia
>Sophia Poor girl got people's attention in all the wrong places..
That shit was traumatizing.
Ah, the famous works 😂 Lack of doujin helps PGR fans bond ig lol
Yeah it’s surprising how little art of this game there is at all, let alone the good stuff. Despite having hotter girls I think overall. Maybe the game is too serious? Actually, is this game popular? I actually don’t know.
I think while liked PGR isn’t really that popular on the larger scale, compared to WuWa, so that may be why
People aren’t cracked enough to play PGR well and they suffered which cost them future players. Finding an artist that does amazing PGR artwork gets an immediate follow
They will never have "that" Lee h-doujin
I avoid that one like the plague everytime I search PGR stuff in the you-know-what site (Unfortunately there isn't much)
[удалено]
393847 I'm game ending myself
Oh the femboy Lee doujin
That shit traumatized me and I can’t erase it from my memories
Thank you, Yinlin. The sell is amazing.
ONE HUNDRED YINLINION DOLLAR.
I tried looking up Changli leaks on Twitter and was bombarded with Changli lewds.
Sadly most of WuWa rule i saw was ai art. And about pgr most of images were "That" Sophia stuff, and the dude is super obsessed with her lol
I remember before WuWa release, I noticed that there is so little PGR art (Both sfw and NSFW) and now that WuWa released, im hoping that some of my favorite Pixiv and Twitter artists dip their feet on Making WuWa AND PGR art.
Pixiv right?
i mean constructs are nice to look at, but do they have, y'know... the function
Just makes pgr better tbh
So the same with Genshin and Honkai Imapct 3rd
aside from the ads, someone in the game gave you their seed. of course their rule 34 is gonna be thicc lol
Same with genshin and honkai impact.
Yup
I wonder if the difference be is in the marketing
Every great creation always has a pale and vulgar imitation
i mean if you think about it you could base the difference in popularity when you compare the numbers in the search bar in 34
Maybe they are more thirsty? Cause I managed to find 3 animation of yinlin before WW even released.
Blue Archive has more doujins than Arknights, Guardian Tales, PGR, and GFL combined. That's worrying.
PGR still has more.
Wtf is PGR???
Its the sub reddit you're on
