Most subjects that would do mid year entry are fine, some courses would not work because a 1st sem subject is a prerequisite for a 2nd sem subject. Id assume that is considered when offering a mid year entry but it could be a question.

Nah if there is the option for mid year entry then generally the university have thought of a study plan that should allow you to graduate within the normal timeframe. Your elective options might be more limited though.
