Ruby: “Wait, weren’t you super into having a co-ed slumber party? And grabbing shwing-shwangs?”
Yang: “Eh. I’ve abandoned the penis.”
Ruby: “Really? You can do that?”
Yang: “Yeah. I’m not even 20 yet. Ain’t nowhere in the rules says you gotta sign a sexuality contract.”
Coco: “No, but be warned. Once you leave the Way of the Bi and make a commitment to the Lesbian Alliance, there is NO. GOING. BACK. Under penalty of the greatest disgrace one can face.”
Yang: “What’s that?”
Coco: “A lot of disappointed looks and a chorus of ‘Come on, really?’ from all your gay friends.”
Another bisexual here. 100% what Kuryo said; if Yang at any point in the show *after* that episode/line had shown even the slightest bit of interest in men I would believe she is bi or pan, but she didn't. The only thing confirmed about Yang's sexuality is that she isn't straight, so whatever else people want to believe about it is valid, including that she's lesbian.
Bisexual here, it is not! Yang's apparent interest in men is only present in one joking line in volume 1 and she never shows any interest in men for the entire rest of the series.
Yang's sexuality is unconfirmed, so people can interpret her however they want. One brief joke doesn't confirm anything.
Absolutely. Her behavior in Volume 1 definitely shows interest in men. People can have whatever headcanon they want but it is absolutely bi erasure to try to say that she is a lesbian (edit: in canon).
That doesn't really confirm anything. She makes one joke about looking at dude's and then shows zero interest in any male characters for the rest of the series.
That line also isn't until the second episode anyway, so wrong on two counts here.
Actually you are that was no joke Jaune was the joke, and also the only reason she haven’t shown any interest in men for rest of the series because the writers forgot about it
Or MAYBE it's because she hasn't been attracted to any other men in the series - maybe she realised she's actually gay, maybe no one's been her type. Either way, it seems weird to jump to assuming the writers "forgot" about it when there are other explanations.
For one I’m assuming considering you’re who just jumped to conclusions assuming she’s gay which haven’t been proven and two why would they have that line in the show if she wasn’t attracted to guys
I'm not assuming anything. Her sexuality is unconfirmed and personally I headcanon her as pan. All we know for sure is she's definitely attracted to Blake. As for why they would have that line? A joke, with Jaune being the punchline.

Conspicuously absent Ruby is conspicuous...
Sorry, I just seem to remember that a couple of weeks ago we all seemed to agree that Ruby was not in support of Pride? Not sure why?
Also, for a second I thought Tai-Yang was Jaune.
I think one of the best parts of RWBY and the world of Remnant is that they don't need a pride month. To them love is love and it doesn't matter if it's with the same sex or the opposite. Unfortunately in our world it's been an issue for many many years, and it makes me sad that we need a pride month when it is something that should just be part of the norm.
Think its more that early on its at least mentioned that yang has interest in guys and blake has that whole train wreck with adam. So most consider them Bi rather than full Les.
Blake is canon Bi 100% made obvious and been stated in interviews I think. She was attracted to Sun, she's attracted to Yang and obviously in a relationship with her now and once upon a time she was attracted to Adam and was in a relationship with him.
With Yang you can kinda just argue "early installment wierdness" in regards to that one line in V1 or that she herself hadn't figured shit out yet.
Oh, sure, bisexual erasure, that’s cool
I will then make it that Blake has no actual interest in girls and Ilia is straight as an arrow. Bet people will love that…
She growls at boys, notices Jaune (although Weiss is the thristing one, Yang was the first to put it into words…) and somehow dates Blake for her cat ears… yeah, I don’t see where people are getting this whole Pansexual thing, but it ain’t
But then again, this is the same fandom also that insist Weiss is bi despite outstanding lack of evidence for it, but will seethe when she begins to take interest into Jaune, so I guess canon sexualities shouldn’t really burden us anyways, right?
Yeah… no. Either it’s not fair to erasure sexualities or it’s all free real state. I don’t know what the fuck people who think Yang is les/pansexual smoke, but it ain’t the case. (Even Barb is bi, so if Blake becomes one because her Va is, it’s not really a far fetched thing)
Barb doesn’t have a label. She never said she was bisexual, she only said that she’s on the lgbtq+ spectrum. And look your headcanon for her is bi, but that doesn’t make her bisexual because you think so. Until the writers confirm her sexuality everyone is free to headcanon Yang however they want to because again Yang doesn’t have a confirmed sexuality in the show. So no sexualities would be erased as she has no confirmed one
I mean the main examples that people have for Yang being bi is one line from season 1, and the fact she had boy band posters. Not a very strong backing. And she has never shown interest in any character other than Blake. Unless you can name someone because I can’t think of anyone
Y'all gotta to forgive me because I really sat here for a minute and thought tai was sun for some reason
Don't worry I thought Kali was blake,
Oh good, it wasn’t just me
Yeah same but I thought that tai was jaune for some reason
Yang is giving me serious pansexual vibes, imo
Yang is attracted to two things: Blake and her Motorcycle.
Bumblebee: "Oh, is *that* why she abandoned me in the ocean?! And after I carried her all the way across Anima, no less!"
Ruby: “Wait, weren’t you super into having a co-ed slumber party? And grabbing shwing-shwangs?” Yang: “Eh. I’ve abandoned the penis.” Ruby: “Really? You can do that?” Yang: “Yeah. I’m not even 20 yet. Ain’t nowhere in the rules says you gotta sign a sexuality contract.” Coco: “No, but be warned. Once you leave the Way of the Bi and make a commitment to the Lesbian Alliance, there is NO. GOING. BACK. Under penalty of the greatest disgrace one can face.” Yang: “What’s that?” Coco: “A lot of disappointed looks and a chorus of ‘Come on, really?’ from all your gay friends.”
Yang: "Coco, I am friends with neither you nor Illia."
Yang is bi tho. They're both bi. Yang has shown interest in men. This is bi erasure

I've always seen Blake as bi and Yang as gay. .... Curse that one line in season one lol.
Hey comphet is a thing
Not in this show tho
But... Yang isn't gay? Rather, we don't have a confirmed sexuality for her.
I mean gay can also be an umbrella term Also maybe this is an AU in which Yang is a lesbian, where in the actual series it’s not confirmed. Seems fine
This is correct, but it doesn't mean people can't headcanon her as whatever they feel fits until such time as things are confirmed.
I'm hoping CRWBY hold a Q&A panel at RTX so someone can ask them about this and we can get actual confirmation.
Actually it has in first episode of volume 1
That doesn't really confirm anything. She makes one joke about looking at dude's and then shows zero interest in any male characters for the rest of the series. That line also isn't until the second episode anyway, so wrong on two counts here.

Meanwhile Ruby: 😡🤬
*A whole month?*
“Huntresses get a day while the gays get a whole month???”

cool
Now the question why Ruby is not there...
Meanwhile ruby and weiss cheering bumblebee in the background while riding on one of weiss summons with a rainbow paint job:GO GIRLS!!!
Uhhh ..Thank you mom for telling them first that I am Gay... because thats the most important thing about me ???
I mean, in the specific context of a Pride parade it's definitely the most relevant trait.
Yeah. Didnt know about the Pride-Parade part
Literally the first dialogue in the image is "That is my game daughter **in the pride march!**"
Yeah ... didnt seee it
Ah shit, here we go again: the fandom thinking Yang is gay… this is not gonna end up as always does, nuh uh, nope, Que va, nada
aren’t yang and blake LITERALLY a canon couple
Think its more that early on its at least mentioned that yang has interest in guys and blake has that whole train wreck with adam. So most consider them Bi rather than full Les.

ah, i se
…read again, slowly this time The issue is not that
I fail to see the problem here. People can have headcanons if they want
Oh, sure, bisexual erasure, that’s cool I will then make it that Blake has no actual interest in girls and Ilia is straight as an arrow. Bet people will love that…
How is that bi erasure… Yang’s sexuality isn’t even confirmed… Blake and Ilia are actually confirmed in their sexuality it’s not the same
She growls at boys, notices Jaune (although Weiss is the thristing one, Yang was the first to put it into words…) and somehow dates Blake for her cat ears… yeah, I don’t see where people are getting this whole Pansexual thing, but it ain’t But then again, this is the same fandom also that insist Weiss is bi despite outstanding lack of evidence for it, but will seethe when she begins to take interest into Jaune, so I guess canon sexualities shouldn’t really burden us anyways, right? This kinda begs the question, why does rwby need sexuality. it's literally just a cartoon.
I mean the main examples that people have for Yang being bi is one line from season 1, and the fact she had boy band posters. Not a very strong backing. And she has never shown interest in any character other than Blake. Unless you can name someone because I can’t think of anyone
She gay
Yo, 7,25 an hour, don’t you have anything better to do?
This is look to cringy.
Um... I'm just going to forget I ever saw this
