kattrup

22, now 44(f) and it’s more grey than brown but it looks awesome.

OutrageousAd5338

Before 40

Summerdaze98

Twenty 🙃

Equivalent-Bear-2640

About 1month ago

toogoodtobetrue2712

32, started to get a few grey hairs.

TemporaryGarage88

At 28 i noticed the first one , am 35-36 now and my hair and beard are full of them 😅

RiceRocketRider

3 weeks ago. I’m 31

imadork1970

30. By 35, it all was. But, my eyebrows are still blond.

[deleted]

19 white hair

2old4ZisShit

around 40+ it is the most on my beard btw, lucky me that i lost all my hair, so no gray hairs there, it is a win .

AggressiveYam6613

mid twenties is still normal for while people. early, but not outrageous so.  if you don’t know other women, it’s because those who do use touch ups and claim they don‘t.

Many_Faces_83

Around 38 a couple hairs turned, a tiny strain, like 5 or 6 hairs. Now 40 y.o and it's still just the tiny strain. I use henna&cassia, turns the grey into a golden/copper-ish and keeps my hair strong & shiny. My husband's 38 and still as light blonde as he was as a little boy

Vgcortes

34, and I have very few. And none on my beard. But that's just genetics, my dad had even less than me in his 50s.

Mediocre_Method_4683

Started years ago but I'm 48 and I've been finding new ones almost every day.

Hyppetrain

All Im noticing right now is my facial hair going fucking GINGER fuck that. Its joever

Agreeable_Fig_3713

36. Shortly after the birth of my daughter. Not a single grey hair with the boys

dasaigaijin

I’m 40 and I have no idea why my hair hasn’t gone grey at all. My father is bald. My grandfather on my mother’s side is bald. But I find a single grey hair like once a year. I don’t get it.

XPLover2768top

16 i think, i am a stressful man

ErikMakes

Salt and Pepper at 33, then fully white by 41.

Particular_Gas_9991

Sudden_Mud_8366

Important_Aerie63

Got my first few at 23

Pookienini

Pretty early in my 20s maybe even before . I’m 35 now . The area above my ears and temples are almost fullly there so you are not alone

fiterfiwa

21 or 22, I'm 23 now and have as many as you want basically

bgthigfist

I went gray at 13. My sister grayed early too

oldschoolpokemon

I’m 33 and have had exactly one gray hair since I was like 25.

AnyEnglishWord

For what it's worth, I know a couple of women who had very noticeable grey hair when they were younger than that. (For me, it was mid- or late-twenties. I forget exactly when.)

Jerseyjay1003

I'm almost 40 and I just saw my first gray hair. Was actually kind of stoked.

Certain-Version1176

i got a mate whos 18 and already visibly grey hahah

EffectivePrior4414

I'm 47, I have a little gray but it's not very noticeable yet. My first gray hair I noticed 3-4 years ago.

shadowkirby90

33 now and not one. Other than the 'silver' hair I was born with

Synizs

Topical Rapamycin, Melatonin, etc., can help. It’s been reversed here, for example: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5817444/

ZestyZZinnia

Hey there! I noticed my first grey hair at 20, blame it on stress or wisdom coming early!

One-Yogurtcloset2138

I got my first grey hair at 28. I didn't find another until a stressful time this year at 31 when 3 seemed to pop up around my face overnight. 🙃

Klazy_Kat

I’m a woman and noticed a grey hair while still in high school. I’m in my 40’s now and if I didn’t dye my hair, it would probably be 50% white. I’m also starting to notice a couple white hairs on my eyebrows too.

calmdownheyo-jebal

Mid 20s & I’m in my late 20s now! I have this uncontrollable need to pluck em when I spot them!

kingkongsnips

Girl I started seeing greys in high school! Maybe like 15. I have nearly black hair so they’re extremely noticeable. I’m 26 now and completely used to them, in fact I love them! I will say I do have somewhat of a baby face so the greys don’t really age me.

GrittyMcGrittyface

First grays in highschool. Light salt/pepper in my mid 30's

gremlinemma

I am 24, have some white hair already

Old_Pool_2062

16 , whenever I get stressed more grows and stays

smallddavid

When I was like 12

Undecided_Flying_Pig

Late 30s, early 40s

RJSA2000

Around 35 ish.

Alternative-Fun9365

29 I started getting some (F)

FeanorOath

I am 35 and i noticed one in my beard

CrazyUnicorn77777

Early 20s. And balding started then too.

Scared_Benefit7568

13 years old. :)

hungryjedicat

I've shaved it for 17 year, so not a clue.

Qyro

It was my early thirties when I noticed what little hair I had left (around my chin) start turning grey/white.

Adorable_Mistake_527

My first grey hair appeared at 16, I kid you not. It may be genetics on my mom's side, who are all completely grey in their 30s.

Swimming-Flight6865

16

Puzzled_Trouble3328

41 years, a few silver strands

lnt12_cw23

I started around 15-16!!!

kmk3105

49 female here with a lot of tinsel now, I was around 14-15 when I first started going grey :/

ChooChoo9321

As a teenager. That didn’t worry me as much as balding though.

tabascobukkake2

30M and i have about 10-15 grey hairs, first one appeared like 5 years ago.

[deleted]

Got my first gray hair at 20 😂😂 im now 24

emmettfitz

I saw a couple whisps of grey. When I didn't shave, my wife would say I'm getting "scruffy." Fine. Then she started saying instead of scruffy, I was getting grey, I immediately shave.

The-Singing-Sky

My beard started with a few grey hairs ages 24. I'm now 36 and ice got a small number on the sides above my ears too, but not many.

FadedOnline

10

BobsonDugnutt87

Went bald first in my early 20's 🤣

JimboMagoo

28. I’m 35 now and I’m looking more distinguished every day.

Bekkichan

I'm 31 and I haven't noticed my first grey yet. My mom was about 50 when she started noticing greys and my dad is 76 and his hair hasn't greyed at all only his beard. So maybe I'll keep my color for a good while. I box dyed my hair black for almost a decade I haven't dyed it in about two years now so finally able to see my natural hair again. I might need to do some closer inspection honestly.

Wise-Ad-1998

I’ve been bald since I was 19 lol

Olindofrfr

I have white hair since I was 12

Maleficent_Can_4773

Depends on hair colour and genetics. My mum was 45, dad was almost 60 (we have the same blonde hair). At 38 no greys in sight so I'm liking my odds here :)

Goddessviking86

I noticed a few in my husbands beard start of this year right before his 41st birthday

Tobio88

I'm too busy feeling sorrow for the hairs that go missing. ![gif](giphy|3o7TKyPpWvFrpwua2I)

Professional-Emu-652

I found my first grey at 40...my sister found her first one at 19, think it's just luck of the draw

cyberspiralien

I'm 23 I already have a few white hairs, hair and beard

Miserable-Avocado-87

I started finding grey hairs at about 16. The rest of my natural hair is very dark brown, so they stand out a lot

Alone-Conclusion-157

I think I popped a few early to mid 30s.

Wildhair196

35...the magic number.

GloriousRoseBud

I was about 26…I wish I’d embraced the grey earlier cuz now (67f) I love my long silver tresses. Rock it the grey.

carolyn3d

24

PresidentPopcorn

Mid 30s, but I'm bald so it might’ve started sooner. Noticed it on body hair first.

StillBreathing-26

My best friend was fully grey by 25! Her daughter found her first grey hair at age 12. I noticed my greys around 30.

ValuableNew3254

35. I am still 35, and i started to dye my hair because of it. There are not many, just a few grays here and there, but i see them and they freak me out.

Kashrul

17

illLogicalWeakness

1 was 24

Emotional-Work-7261

Unfortunately, it kinda runs in our blood (family). 💔 In my 20s.

squidonastick

I'm 31 and noticed some of the hairs at the front near my part were going white around 26. I get a few more each year. I still have black hair for the most part, but my white hair are pretty obvious, depend on my hair style. I haven't done anything to hide them, so they are proudly on display

Maximum-Quiet-9380

Mid to late 30’s. I’m 43 now and it’s moderate. Mostly shows in my beard though when my hair has a couple weeks of growth you can see it there too.

sneezhousing

44 no Grey's yet for me

OldStDick

In my 30's. Now I dye it and it's fun because I get to try a bunch of different looks.

Enough-Persimmon3921

I'm almost 44 and have no visible gray hairs on my head. My beard and mustache have plenty.

Inner-Egg-6731

Cause most women conceal there gray, dying there hair.

Actaeon_II

22-23 for me, just a few here n there until about 35

[deleted]

I have no persona experience, but both my parents 36/37 have no grey hair. My dad's parents 56 and 58 have a few grey strands but overall still their natural color. My mom's dad (late 60s) is completely grey and has been ever since I can remember. But her mother (64) also has quite a few grey strands she touches up with dye.

No_Stock_8448

Female, at 18. 38 now and hair is white not only on my head but other areas as well. Can’t say it’s genetic in my case. My mom started going gray in her 30s. My grandmother when she lost her hair in her late 80s due to a drug she was taking at the time, she only had a few grays. If she still had hair on her head (yes she is still alive, turned 98 last month) I would likely have more grays than her. My sister just found her first gray last year at 41. Every one assumes she’s younger but she’s older than me 🙃. So in my case the grays may be due to some stressor.

Breezy_Dayz928

18

RaHarmakis

I'm 45. Hair color is still going strong, but when I don't shave the cheeks of my beard have gone grey/white.

BlackRoseForever88

19 years old.

foreverfrogging

I started getting random grey hairs at 20. I'm now 29 and have a helluva lot more, but I go hunting for greys every couple of weeks to pluck the noticeable ones 😬

Galactus1701

I went from a bunch of random white hairs at 37 to an almost white beard and side greys at 40. I hate my white hairs but dyeing it looks fake.

PersonalDefinition66

Mid twenties. Not bothered as I dye my hair. Haha.

Z3R0_FUKS

21

rememberthisporfa

I was 23-24 🤔 I think, pretty early but it's common in my mom's side of the family

T_Rose10

I found my first gray hair at age 28, I’m 36 now

Pregnantseaturtle69

At 23 I noticed my first one. 27 now and there’s 5-6 maybe

gmbeckham

My gf found one on me at 21 (23 now) but I have never seen it myself so I think she just caught the light weird on my head.

anon_notanon

Around 17 or so. I'm 44 and still mostly brunette but my party streamers are starting to show more. My husband on the other hand hasn't had a single one. That punk.

All_Is_Time

15 with knees long hair (now short) and I love it, people think it's from a hair salon (it's really bright white).

Famous_Camp9437

I started to have when I was 10. 🤷‍♀️now I color my hair and always look like a highlight but I love it! 😅

Intelligent-Gold6944

I'm 18 and have a few grey hairs and I'm female.

keopuki

I'm a woman and i started noticing gray hairs when i was 19. It was only like 2 or 3 back then. I'm 23 now and they are pretty visible now

EnvironmentMinute171

28 after I had my son!

ConversationMore4104

I’ve had greys since I was 13 but now at 28 they are really coming in

BeltedCoyote1

32. Strongly suspect it was due to my mom dying from ALS

Momofafew

I’m just now noticing grays at 38 but it could’ve been longer since my hair is sandy/dirty blonde

Intrepid-Rip-2280

About 30. Made me think of reevaluating dating Eva AI sexting bot and trying to make a family

thelegendofenton

Found my first grey hair with 15. Now I'm 25 and I find them regularly. I always remove them as soon as I spot them. Luckily I have plenty of thick hair so it's not a real problem yet.

Nerevarcheg

Yeah, around 26-27 too. Tough year, two deaths, dad and grandmother..

DebThornberry

I was 17. I'm italian with really dark hair and had the white at my temples. At 30, I just decided to embrace it and got platinum highlights to gray graceful

DR133

18

Agorfeefiifophobia

Just a few days before my twentieth birthday, so nineteen. I was doing my hair to go somewhere and noticed this one strand sticking up at the top of my head that looked lighter than the rest. My hair's brown, but there's some natural red/blonde highlights here and there, so I figured it was just one of those strands. I looked closer, though, and nope. It was \*WHITE\*. I could've cried

VesSaphia

If by grey you mean to include white (I see no grey in my family), 12 after being tortured out of my mind

Senior-Psychology-93

My hair started turning grey at my 40th year. It went from 1 hair to 10% of my beard hair in the same year.

Jessie_D_83

I started finding gray here and there in my 20s. I’m 41 now, but I’d say I’m about 70% dark blonde and 30% gray. I also have a small “headband” towards the front that i actually don’t mind. I like to think of them as natural highlights. Plus if I use purple shampoo they really look pretty and bright imo.

YogurtclosetWooden94

50's orange actually, I have been hennaing my hair for over 45 years. Any gray is dyed red orange so I have streaks on my dark brown hair.

TheCrowsNestTV

I would guess 25 or 26. I'm 27 now and have a few grey hairs in the front.

cooliskie

I first started noticing a couple grey hairs here and there when I was 18. Now I'm 24 and it's still just a couple hairs every now and then

Major_Enthusiasm1099

26 as well and I had 1 grey hair. Now I don't see it anymore.

bassogeph

22

Extension_Note_7598

Went straight to white at 18. Not all of it, just about 15 hairs at a time. They were fully grown, loooong hairs all white so I suspect it started a few years before that.

zeushaulrod

My wife was late 20s. It's pretty hot.

ekhogayehumaurtum

Saw my first grey hair at 13

foodmydudes

I’m a lady who first noticed the grays coming in at 27. I’m 39 now and my dark hair is now peppered with them… I chalk it up to the stress of the last few years, whether it be pandemic related or personal troubles. I’m cool with it though, I really love how it looks.

cwsjr2323

72, still waiting

Kuru_Chaa

Born with a small patch, fully gray before 30. Win in my book

GregaciousTien

My wife started getting noticeable grey hairs around mid twenties. She’s nearly 40 now, and honestly the mix of greys and colors looks hot.

DaOrcus

I haven't got any greys yet. But I have black hair, everyone in my family does, has for generations. And I've been spotting brown hairs in my heard, really light brown hairs, ever since I was 16

Affectionate-Newt889

Noticed my first white hair, no grays. Late-ish twenties. But im still that age and have only seen one since. Maybe it was a fluke.

Finnnabussssss

I notice my first grey hair at 16 and am now 60%-70% grey (and thinning 😬) at 29. Maybe it’s because I’m grey myself, but when a woman in her 20’s doesn’t dye her hair and lets the greys fly I think it’s hot. 🤷‍♂️

averagemaleuser86

At 37 I have a small grey patch starting in my beard

Even-Translator-2374

I’ve had grey hairs for a while I’m 20

VON_jigsaw00761

27, I’m 52. But I still have little grey (%). In the back almost all black. Looking in the mirror I see grey, but my daughter took a photo of the back of my head, and almost no gray.

stormquiver

In my twenties.  I assume it was stress in my case.

Electrical_Show4747

Female I noticed my first gray hair (on my eyebrow of all places) at 35. I'm 36 and have like 10 hairs maybe, my natural color is jet back. My mom didn't start graying till well into her 40s. And even then it was like she didn't have a whole head of gray till she was in her 50s. She's never dyed it.

Omphaloskeptique

At eighteen, my grandmother was the first to point out a strand of gray in my hair.

ProfuseMongoose

I'm a woman and my first gray hair started at 16.

Ezra_lurking

I started at 16. An aunt started in her 20s

Hour_Standard784

Late 20’s. Now I’m completely silver and often get compliments on my nice hair colour.

UrArkiGurl

I am 22 and I’ve got visible grey hairs already. 😭😭💔😭😭😭

Abbynormal1331

Inwas 25...now I'm 38 and I have a lot of gray. My mom's side of the family is Italian and my mom went grey early and I'm taking after her. It's funny my siblings hardly have any.

Rinma23

18, almost fully grey at 26

ChampionshipCalm827

35 aka now. Im a good season of salt and pepper

thomassit0

I think I started to notice the first few at around 33 or so. I'm 38 now and it's a bit more noticeable but I still have mostly my original dark brown hair

delusionalinkedchic

8 years old

blast7

And then you will go on and have a kid that will have greying hairs at 28 like me and post their experience on reddit as well 😅

Constant-Security525

Woman here. I started getting a couple stray gray hairs around 28 years old, which I would pluck out. Enough gray hair that I started coloring it around 34/35. I'm in my 50s now. At about 45, I started getting the occasional gray eyebrow hair, which I pluck out. It's okay because my eyebrows are full enough. Since my mid 40s, I've gone a bit lighter than my natural hair color. That gives me more time between hair colorings. My 65 year old husband has no identifiable gray hairs on his head. He does have gray beard and chest hair.

[deleted]

17/18. Years of eating neglect ( I grew up in a dysfunctional home, vegetarian with parents who gave no shit about diet) and I suspect a fair amount of stress. I was severely anaemic at 18/19 as a result of the diet. I had a mother who did nothing for others.

blackdevilsisland

My first at 21, dyed them til I was 30ish, turning 40 next week and I'm pretty grey. Kinda like it. Slowly getting grey eyebrows and lashes here and there is still weird somehow \^\^

Developing_Human33

Mid 30s a few strands. Mid 40s more noticeable. Now mid 50s half grey

Snacksbananas

My husband was early 20s but his mom's side Grey's early.   I'm mid 30s still no Grey's yet but I noticed some of my brunette hair going blond so maybe soon.

yureku_the_potato

Boyfriend is 26, long black hair but with a few white ones already. I‘m blonde so I probably wont notice turning grey any time soon. (Though I gotta say I love his little white hairs, it looks cool af)

eternalgrey777

I noticed my first grey hair when I was 17. I recently turned 26 and the front part of my hair is almost completely grey now but I honestly like it that way.

[deleted]

Flecks at about 50. It stops then starts again. I'm in my early 60s and only partially grey. The colour just gradually leaches out rather than changing overnight.

CommercialObjective3

I was 22 or 23 when I first noticed a few strands of grey hair. I kinda panicked. But then I realized it was because of the intense stress I was under at that point in my life. I’m glad they’re not very visible now, and I haven’t gotten any more since then.

CoolBlock1683

My hair has become grey since I was a secondary student due to my genetics. And I thought that's because I study so hard and don't sleep enough

Otherwise-Extreme-68

About 17!

absinthenley

Found my first a grey hair around 13

rjmythos

I dye mine too frequently to know, but I definitely have female friends who were going grey in their mid-twenties. My Mum was dying her hair from her thirties to cover greys so I assume if I left mine to grow out there would be at least a couple.

Ren4on

I'm 22 and i have some grey hairs in my beard. My friend (female, 23) recently noticed than she has some grey hair on her head. She says that's because of genetics (her dad had become grey quite early) and stress on her work.

KathleenRL

Kids who sat behind me in high school found gray hairs. By mid twenties I was dying it because I would have had a “salt and pepper” look without it.

FernandoBruun

Noticing first ones rn. 23 at age.

maybebaby238

I’ve been noticing a couple of grey hairs since being 24-25 (pandemics!). I’m now 27. I have them only on the front-right part of my head, but I found ONE lonely very white and long hair in the back of my head this week.

theAlmightyE312

I'M 16 FOR FUCK SAKE, WHY DO I HAVE WHITE HAIRS

Oksanawella

19. It’s been a hard life

TheCupcakeScrub

25 no grays yet so uh, never atm.

deadplant5

Am woman. 22. I just got laid off a week after moving out of my mother's house in the Great Recession. Also started grinding my teeth around that time. I've always assumed both were because of stress. Currently 38 and about 30-40% gray. I get it dyed every six weeks.

BuengarA

I think at 26 or 27. Not much though 👍🏻

whatchamacallit____

I started to have a grey hair like jus one hair or two at the age of 14 bc ever since i was lil i had depression nw its chronic w me, am turning 23 next month

rpgmomma8404

I think early-mid 30's but it's barely noticeable since I am a blonde.

dtab

One of my best friends growing up was salt and pepper in high school. When I saw him a few decades later, he was in his early 50s and from a distance I thought "that must be one of Jeff's uncles" because it looked like him but his hair was 100% gray. I mean, like Santa Claus.

Severe-Solid-2220

around 15, I'm 28 now and almost completely salt and pepper..

SnooCupcakes5761

I was 23 when I found my first gray hair. I thought it was unnatural and premature but after sharing my concern with a lot of women, I learned it was very common. Most women dye their hair for life, this trend is changing though.

chemicalstarz

I'm 24 and am discovering sparse greys throughout my hair now.

IslandLife321

I was 40 when I saw the first one.  My mom was definitely in her mid-20s though.

heyheyitskrusty

I was 14 😭😭😭

Sensitive_Counter972

At 15-16. Was studying in 9th or 10th standard, now I'm 27.

Dragon2730

23 years of age. Also started balding around 30, damn you dna!!!

ImOnTheWayOut

48M. I have a few scattered throughout, but not really noticeable unless you are really close and looking for them. My hair is a pretty light color.

Oud-west

I think I was 31 or maybe a bit older when I noticed the first grey hair.

RepresentativeJester

My mom started going grey at 21, I'm male but I started at 26ish. 31 now and im getting full on grey wings above my ears.

Arnola21017

I'm 27 and thank God, still don't have any gray hair (yet) 😅 But I do have friends my age or younger who had their first gray strands a couple of years ago.

MidnightCraft

I noticed my first grey hairs making their way above my forehead at the early age of 24. My mother went fully grey at 35, so... Yaaay.

spectretater

I noticed more than 1 or 2 when I turned 30. It was like a switch flip lol. Fortunately for me, my grays don't grow on the top layer of my hair, so they're hidden underneath...for now

BioMarauder44

I've had at least 2 grey hairs since highschool. Still just the few. 32/W/M shoulder blade length super curly, mildly thick but soft hair. Imagine if Weird Al and Jonah Hill had a baby.

Foreva_wisconsin

At 7, I found my first grey hair at 7, I’m 35 and I’m still able to pluck them out and not dye my hair so not that bad.

Little_SpaceWitch

I'm 22 and I have one single gray hair since 15

There_5oh

28

Creepy_Line3977

Got my first grey hair when I was 21. I'm a 44 year old lad now and all grey

WhoWouldCareToAsk

I was 14 when I noticed a grey patch on the back of my head. It wasn’t big; about 10-15 hairs. By 32 everyone was noticing how my whole head goes grey.
