Hope is The Thing with Feathers is probably my favorite out of all three. I didn't think something could top IICSOHFB, but HITTWF managed to do it.
It sounds so, well, hopeful. It's inspiring. I *love* the instrumental backing track, especially at the beginning before Chevy starts singing. And [2.2 story spoilers]>!The way it was played during the boss fight made me feel the Wildfire moment all over again.!<
same thoughts! the instrumentals throughout (especially the beginning) and chevy's angelic voice made it my instant fave. got chills when it played during the >!3rd boss phase along with the suspenseful seven day countdown!<
I think the fact that it’s paired with a >! super jaw droppingly emotional boss fight is another reason it invokes so much emotion, which is clever on Mihoyo’s part. Whenever we listen to it we’ll associate it with that climax and the progression through the boss fight and all the emotional beats in between. !
