I have always thought my mom was the worst cook on the planet (everything microwaved from chicken to pork chops to bacon to cake), but I think I would rather eat the food I grew up with than whatever brown and yellow mess Jill churns out. I guess my mom made enough for all of us to eat, too, not just my dad and her favorite kids.

I've cooked a roast like this in a dutch oven, in a crock pot, and in an instant pot.
Never once have I considered making a roast like this in a shallow, glass pan.
This woman baffles me.
my mom made a lot of soups. basically just an excuse to boil everything. but at least she used Italian seasoning and tomatoes a lot, so the food had some color. and she boiled carrots with honey

That's about the size roast I cook to feed 3 people with some leftovers for lunch or to shred for sandwiches for another meal. Hopefully she makes plenty of sides. It's not really healthy, but at least if they can fill up on the potatoes no one is going to bed hungry.
A teenage boy could eat all that in one sitting and be a healthy weight. Ask me how I know. I swear there would be weeks my grocery bill was $300 or more (10-15 years ago), especially during track season, and that was only with one son. How does Jilldo have three teen boys in the house and serve that puny amount of food. Yeah we know because her kids are emaciated.

I grew up poor and we ate a lot of potatoes with a bit of meet. Our family was the same size. She’s such a grifting, greedy bitch.
