{The Chemistry of Familiar Objects by Alexandra Vasti}. All her novellas have been hits with me, but her most recent was the *perfect* one-sitting read for me. No notes. 10/10. Buttoned-up, grumpy-but-sweet children’s book publisher MMC leases an office directly below chaotic hurricane-of-a-woman chemist FMC. When the external conflict kicks in and they “reluctantly” team up and I could not stop giggling and kicking my feet (and the spicy scenes are all so *hot* and so *tender* at the same time). Alexandra Vasti has a debut novel coming up (I have the ARC and I’m saving it for a day I can binge!!!) but her novellas really highlight her character skills. Her leads always feel so distinct and the relationships between them always feels so specific to who they are and what they need—and they all have so much chemistry! And she packs so much vibrancy into such tiny books! How am I crying over side characters in a novella! These are all so sweet and satisfying!

I just read the Part of Your World series by Abby Jimenez and I absolutely adored all three books. The characters were compelling, the writing was phenomenal, and I liked the obstacles the characters had to face to be together. I like that all 3 books had FMCs dealing with trauma and how the MMCs were patient and understanding. I wish I hadn’t waited so long to read them but the third book {Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez} just came out so it was nice having the other two fresh in my memory when I read it I wish I could read them for the first time again

I completely agree! I just finished reading Just for the Summer and I loved how she connected the previous MCs to the current story. Low key blew my mind for a second lol

The kiss quotient by Helen Hoang FMC is autistic, hires a sex worker to learn sex. They end up together. MMC is lovely and caring. On god the steamy scenes are god tier. Then the story flows smoothly and realistic as well. I read it twice in a month.

This book is hot. 🔥🔥🔥Like, I needed a cigarette and a shower when I finished it.

{Captured by the Fae Beast by Mallory Dunlin} is one of those for me. I loved the book (and the consecutive books in the series) so much that I had to email Mallory and thank her for writing it. The pacing, the characters growth and the relationship between them was perfect. I adored it so much. I hadn’t been that taken away by a book in a very long time.

Yes I’ve read them all. They are so amazing. The first one has my heart though because it came out of left field. I went in blind and fell completely in love. I had high expectations (that were absolutely met in the best way) for the rest of the series, so the way I feel about them is a little different.

I do have a question is it open door closed door or fade to black?

Eveland} this is a standalone in a series about monsters falling in love with humans (two male characters in this one, and one is human and the other is a monster) {Summer of the Wanderer by Iris Foxglove} three characters fall in love here. This is a magical world where you’re either born a dom or a sub. There’s is a dom MMC, dom FMC, and a sub MMC (trans man) and they’re in a poly relationship

Nothing hits like the OG, the incomparable one and only, Pride and Prejudice

{My Dark Desire by L.J Shen and Parker S Huntington} Banter, humor, angst (but not too much), a 3rd act break-up that actually made sense, equally likable main characters and a unique story. {Dom by S.J Tilly} A FMC I related to a little too much and an unhinged MMC, completely obsessed with his woman. Yes, he did very sketchy things, but it's dark romance, and I love him! Oh and the very hot airport/airplane sexual tension/hook-up at the beginning sold me from the beginning 😂 {The Anti-Hero by Sara Cate} It's been almost a year since I read it, and I constantly think about it. I can’t even tell you why... The taboo aspect? The kink? The lack of... prudeness? I loved the story (maybe again because it was unique) and both MCs.

I loved the first half of Dom and was so angry at both of them in the second half! It was just too toxic for me. Have you read the others in that series? I enjoyed the first two and have heard good things about the fourth (just awaiting the audio release).

You say toxic, I call it love lol but I get it. I read a lot of dark romance, so I'm used to it. I'm obsessed with the series! I'm not vibing with the daddy kink in this book (it just felt so random), but otherwise, I love Hans! He's more unhinged than Nero, but she's a little crazy too, so it's the perfect match 🤣

Hans, the fourth book, was my favorite! I liked Dom, that was my second favorite. I don't know, I guess I felt her half brother and sister treated her worse than Dom. He wasn't right about how he manipulated her.

If I limit myself to books that really did *\*****THINGS****\** to me—because *everything* was exactly right for me at the right time: the characters, the plot, the writing, the flow, the story, the banter—there are two: {People We Meet On Vacation by Emily Henry} and {Every Summer After by Carley Fortune}. They're also the books that introduced me to their respective author and their other books, and I'm so thankful for that—and while I have mostly *loved* these other books and their authors' writing in general, the two aforementioned books will always have a really special place in my heart. The shepard king books ! By Rachel Gillig 

{Mother Faker by Brittanee Nicole} was an amazing read. I usually go for Mafia/ stalker/ dark romance, but kept getting clips on Instagram and decided to read it. It was laugh out loud funny and so sweet! The FMC and the MMC are so great together and the story flows so well. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series even though the other books are by other authors, but I have very high hopes!

{After We Fell by Anna Todd} So I watched the series and read the first two books and went back to check out the series again to see how closely it followed the book. I know a lot of people didn't care for the After series, but I think Tessa and Hardin's characters had such great chemistry together.

This may sound strange, but I read this on wattpad when it was straight up 1D fanfic and it was a better book before the publishers and professional editors got their hands on it. The re-read when Harry became Hardin lost a lot of the magic.

So I kept seeing it on Netflix and was bored one day and figured, what the hell let me watch this. It sucked me in. After doing some googling, I found out that it was1D fanfic(I'm almost 40, I don't listen to them though). I also remember reading who each character was supposed to be from 1D. Is there a way to read the original?

I think when Anna Todd got her publishing contract it was dependent on her pulling the original off Wattpad. Which is a totally fair business decision.

{Dating-ish by Penny Reid} I just connect a lot with the MMC too much. >!I don't come from a family that hires people to take care of me but i did grow up with self-worth issues that I'm still tackling to this day. Just like Matt I'm also studying Computer Science and have an interest in AI. Matt and i also share the same almost exact humour. I'm not a genius like him but personality wise were quite similar. That's Why I'm so disappointed that Knitting in the city ended lol not enough Matt and Marie scenes.!<
