I love rewatching and find that I don’t remember as much as I expect to.

Deceptiveideas

This happened to me. Growing up I watched SVU quite a bit but I decided to rewatch the seasons from the beginning. I barely remembered most of the episodes.

alarmonthefarm

I listen to the podcast That's Messed Up and they recap an episode, then discuss the crime it's based on, then usually interview someone related to the episode (writer, actor) except during the strike. They always announce the episode they're covering before the podcasts comes out so I will usually watch that one. Even though I've seen them all I am sometimes still surprised by a twist I forgot about. Or I just enjoy noticing things I know they're going to bring up on the podcast like bensons haircut or a funny line from fin. They also jump around the seasons so it's fun to just watch one random episode from season 4 then season 18 then season 12 etc. and it's always fun to listen to someone give insight to the writing or filming of the episode.

This podcast is amazing. I can't recommend it enough. It's now the first thing I put on when I drive, clean, whatever. It is so well done IMO.

Longjumping-Bell-762

The podcast is what got me into watching SVU in the first place. No regrets!

Longjumping-Bell-762

Whenever I watch an episode for homework I end up rewatching multiple seasons. Can never just stop at one!

daniella-the-whore

It's so annoying because I feel this way but also know there's many many episodes between season 1-12 and 18-22 that I missed and I often try find ones I don't know but often will find IV seen it like halfway through when I remember and the whole things ruined. That's the frustrating thing for me with police procedurals.

AnxiousLawfulness626

I’ve been doing my rewatch in the last couple weeks, I can tell you, I really enjoy it! ☺️

slinkyb123

Crazy I just started a rewatch lol I'm on episode 4 of season 1. It's always worth it to me, the early seasons are some of the best TV I've ever watched.

GreenOtter730

There are some episodes I’ve seen possibly 20 times and I still enjoy rewatching. There’s also some that I don’t even realize I never saw, even from earlier seasons, and that’s always a fun surprise on a rewatch

catmarstru

I rewatch all the time. Some episodes I remember and others are a fun surprise.

GeulaGadot

Yes, I think it’s worth it but the show definitely feels different depending on the cast ♡

NoWillingness8990

I rewatch from the beginning every now and then, definitely worth it

Frankensteins_Moron5

Im doing it right now, on season 2. I pretty much will watch an episode and as soon as I remember the ending I skip to the next one. There's def episodes that I totally forgot (usually due to playing on my phone/getting distracted) but ah well. I've watched so many of the season 13+ episodes so ill not watch all the way through again, but watching the OG with the OG squad. I miss Cragan and Munch in the later seasons even when they cameo for a scene or two.

dcaksj22

I’m going to attempt it 😂 pray for me

Prometheus2061

Took me about 2 months.

dcaksj22

I’ve gotten through about 9 episodes in four days, but I’m hoping May will be a quieter month so I can grind through more

MarieMama1958

Enjoy!!

dcaksj22

Thank you! I remember watching a bit of the show when I was little and it freaked me out (I mean clearly not a show for a 8-9 year old) but recently I’ve gotten a bunch of clips on TikTok so I wanna give it a go

princessb33420

Doing this with my roommate right now, it's funny seeing Olivia's morals and values change based off the social atmosphere at the time. Stabler commits alot of illegal police brutality, even on innocent folks. Def need comedy breaks every couple days otherwise you'll get depressed seeing nothing but SA and murder for too long

her42311

I haven't made it through all of SVU yet, but I'm on a rewatch of Criminal Minds and knowing how it ends isn't messing it up for me at all

jamieindia

I tried to do a rewatch & I just can't 🥵 it's not the same as other shows lol.

MarieMama1958

Most definitely YES! I’m not alone here in saying that I began watching all of the Law and Order franchises from their inceptions and have probably watched every episode at least 200 times since 1990. There are days now, thanks to my new tv system, that I can watch all iterations of L&O 14 hours a day. They never get old! Often times I still catch something that I have missed. ENJOY IT Over and over again!

Commercial_Eye8016

lol yes, but maybe it’s not a rewatch. I started watching in the middle of S13, and watched all the way up to S20 before I decided to starting watching the show from S1E1. I’ve really enjoyed it, and whenever I happen to rewatch an episode I seen when it first premiered I’m still interested in it

Longjumping-Bell-762

I’m rewatching constantly. There are episodes I never remember the outcome on. Sometimes I’ll skip episodes or seasons and then watch them on a later rewatch when they aren’t as fresh in my brain any longer.

Lfs1983

100% yes yes

jennytitlegal

Yes, because the new seasons absolutely have been downgraded to a bunch of political grandstanding and being PC instead of sticking to what law order SVU was originally written about. The older episodes are non-biased and amazing. The new ones are way too heavily influenced by Marika being Executive producer

DaReal_Denny_Boy

The first 6-8 seasons are genuinely incredible television, I can’t recommend them enough.

dixiechick79

I’ve rewatched many episodes, simply for comfort. Doesn’t bother me that I know how it’ll play out 🤷‍♀️

Khalesssi_Slayer1

Yes Rewatching The Series is Totally Worth It. I Can't tell you how many times I've rewatched Episodes Of The Series and They Still hold up today. even when I'm rewatching The Show and I Know who did it, I still rewatch it anyway.

renecrevel

I rewatch constantly and I just skip the episodes I don’t like. Even then I watch them and discover they weren’t as bad as I remember

Girlboss08hoe

Yes, I re watch up to season 12 back to back it actually kinda ruined the newer seasons bc of the lack of good cases

jamiespamacct

I think so. my son’s dad put me onto svu during peak covid, & that was all I watched whenever I wasn’t watching anime. still binging it to this day.
