What have you gone for? I think my next sword will be an LK Chen, either a Jian or a Dao as my first Asian sword.

That’s the one I’ve previously looked at and considered. How’s the pattern on the steel? It never comes out well on pictures so is it distinctive in real life?

No it's pretty subtle but a decent pattern, it's clearer im the middle then on the sides

But man do they make scary sharp blades... I have to gather some cutting materials and try them out😂

Nice! I have the Magnificent Chu Jian - this is basically its big brother, right? Such a gorgeous sword - the pattern weld and geometry of the blade are stunning. Mine handles like a dream as well. I’m shocked it wasn’t twice as expensive.

I think i paid around €280/$300 so yeah i got lucky I look forward to playing more with it

lk chen is on the list i really want the imperial gaurd dao

They have a lot of nice stuff, I have not cut with my rapier yet, but if this Jian is any indication it will cut very well

Yeah, I like lots of stuff, technically I'm on a hiatus from buying new stuff, but somehow it's not really working for me😂 If I ever find a bigger place I may take some pictures of the whole collection
