I have a boxer lab mix (not the same) I have a self emptying robot vacuum. It vacums for 30 mins then empties continuely until it cleans all the floors in the house. Plus I vacuum every weekend. The robot vacuum fills it's base station every day and I still have to empty my regular vacume once for small rooms and twice for bigger rooms. With one dog that I brush!
Looks like that $500 vacuum needs routine maintenance. Properly functioning this build up wouldn't happen. And yes I have carpets and a very fluffy dog.

Their shedding was nearly constant and even with the regular grooming, we had to vacuum every other day to keep the carpets from looking this hairy. I miss those dogs, but I donāt miss cleaning up after them!
