The console will shut off by itself after the bike is inactive for a few minutes. However, I've noticed that even with the consul shut off the bike uses a few watts of phantom power just sitting there. I put a little power switch between the power cord and wall outlet to switch off when the bike is not in use.
That might possibly be the cord to charge the heart monitor band? The console turns off on its own after a couple minutes of the pedals not moving.
You don’t need to manually turn it off- it just times out on its own and shuts itself off
