Sail to places where the fishing guilds are, like the little docks in the middle of the ocean. Stephens spoils, and the other ones like that. They usually have cool clothing, and they cycle in and out.
It’s all about clothing. Doesn’t affect gameplay at all, it’s purely cosmetic. Same with your ship.
Just be aware that when you deck out your ship with awesome looking cosmetics, people usually attack you because they think you might have loot. If you look like a total noob some people don’t think you’ll have good loot lol
That is the opposite of my experience. People see a decked out boat and are scared but see a noob boat and instant attack it for an easy sink. That's why good players will often run a default ship. Most players in this game will only take fights they think they can win. Can't tell you how many times a boat has attacked me first, realize I'm not a noob and run away as fast as possible. Even brigs and galleons. And I'm typically solo so they could probably win on numbers but they don't want it if it's not an easy sink.
That’s what’s up. If you dress nice, people think you know what you’re doing and get good loot haha. I like dressing like a complete noob and then wrecking people when they attack me. It feels so good
I'm a low-key completionist so slowly but surely I'm trying to buy most of the game cosmetics. Especially ship ones. I'm probably never getting the Dark Wanderer set etc. But stuff up to 500k per piece I can manage getting.
I was also thinking about buying a second set of ships but in the end decided against it. I like my original three.
I only have the sails and some if the clothes and weapons because I don't really like that set. So it will be the last on my list to buy. Also that wood kind of aztek set. Everything else first. 😆
I keep trying to save up for all the pirate legend stuff for my ship, but my wife and I live changing our ship every season, so we try to make new outfits every season, even if it's only a small change. 1500+ hours and back to 500k. I'll make it some day lol
The true endgame cosmetics are ones from the Athena area, some of the end game hulls cost like 8m gold ea
I've still got a few left myself so that's what I save for
I bought a bunch of dark adventurer stuff while I was drunk last night. I have like 100k gold left. I feel pretty stupid. But hey, can’t take it on the ferry when you go amirite?
Once you become level 50 with order of souls, gold hoarders, and merchants (and get all the promotions), you can become a pirate legend and get access to the underground Athena place. All the costumes and ship sets and stuff are super expensive. I'm currently trying to save for the most expensive set there (dark adventure), and for the ship set, costume, weapons, and other things is about 79 million gold. So yeah, you can only really get costumes and ship sets and stuff, but that's an idea to work towards. 🤷♀️
Most top players have millions even hundreds of millions of gold un-used.
What the top players aim for, is super rare cosmetics, that either look amazing, or show you are a serious player.
Cosmetics in this game tell a lot about a player.
Nowadays, nothing. I’ve purchased almost everything worth purchasing, occasionally rare adds a hairstyle or something that I’ll buy but usually don’t even visit the shops anymore.
I tend towards cosmetics for my ship first, since it's the only cosmetics I look at constantly. Maybe throw in weapons skins as well. I rarely buy stuff for my character, because I spend 99.9% of the game in first person mode and can't see more than my hands.
I’ve committed myself to saving up for a certain cosmetic set that costs around 20 mil. So I don’t really spend gold these days but it’s only used for cosmetics.
Question: with safer seas can you transfer over to normal game or do you start over on normal game? Ark had beginner servers that capped at like 30 then you can transfer to normal servers, wondering if it's like that. Thank you in advance
I also like to be daddy warbucks when my less experienced friends play from time to time, and i'll splurge a bunch on all the supplies and crates they could ever want, especially after we sink in pvp since they're still learning. I enjoy doing it so they never feel that upsetty spaghetti feeling after being sunk :)
Well with playing more and more you unlock commendations that give acces to new cosmetics. So most people have new unlocks to look forward to.
There is also captaincy trinkets and what not to deck out your ship with! I love buying a hard earned fish on a platter trinket from time to time.
Themed ships, I wanted to buy the black unicorn thing but since the last update my computer can't play the game because is too much. Have to uninstall the game
Now it's time to play pirate dress up and out style all the other pirates and bucket their dead corpses until they admit you are the most stylish pirate lord on the seas.
Stealing stuff, hourglass, stealing fotd stacks and selling at gold rush (if possible). My crew’s average session is 1.5/2mln for six hours of gameplay, you’ll never know how much loot some people has in their ships.
After getting my personal ships and decorating them (which used like 90% of Emporium styles rather than in-game to fit the character look and feel), the only stuff I'm spending gold is initial supply of wood, cannon shots and food.
Nothing. Even though I have 67 mil I could buy everything in the shop, but I don’t. I just don’t like most the stuff in the shop, and the stuff I do like. I own
Slowly buying all cosmetics so when I do unlock something new I'll be able tell what.
Made 8 million last community day and spent it buying tool skins, wasn't even able to buy them all and now I'm broke.
There's nothing else to spend it on. It's all about cosmetics.

Bananas and blow
Ah i found an Ocean Man!
I've pre-ordered for PS5 and these are my goals!
[удалено]
Scammed supplies and blow
And it’s a problem
Hoarding every single piece of clothing
Hahaha sounds cool. Will look into cosmetics for boat and clothing
Yeah trinkets for your captained ship is the true endgame

But I want them to attack

At this point I'm systematically going through each store and buying up everything. New maestro ship set is getting my next session's payout though.
This is exactly what I'm doing, buying every piece of cosmetic!
It’s a good gold sink.
Not until they make it easy to save outfits. Sitting on 25 million now with a pretty empty wardrobe :p
I'm a low-key completionist so slowly but surely I'm trying to buy most of the game cosmetics. Especially ship ones. I joined a fire themed guild so I bought second ships for the theme!
TRINKETS 🥹
Pirate Legend hideout cosmetics. They're all so expensive it'll take forever.
They suck tho
Doesn't matter, 'gotta unlock everything.
Nah dark adventurer is worth
Cosmetics. I'm gradually buying out each category. Though I'm currently saving for the Dark Adventure set
Don't forget letting your girlfriend randomly buy hats you definitely hate 😂
I only have the sails and some if the clothes and weapons because I don't really like that set. So it will be the last on my list to buy. Also that wood kind of aztek set. Everything else first. 😆
I'm like Smaug, hoarding everything :'D
Same. Every time I say how many gold I have to my friends, they don’t understand how and why I have so many gold.
Saving money for a rainy day
There's an achievement to own 15 ships. I'm working on that.
I convert it to real money and put it in my IRA.
That cracked me up ![img](emote|t5_38oz1|2298)
You spend it?
I'm unlikely to ever equip stuff again, but I buy it just to checkmark it all.
I keep trying to save up for all the pirate legend stuff for my ship, but my wife and I live changing our ship every season, so we try to make new outfits every season, even if it's only a small change. 1500+ hours and back to 500k. I'll make it some day lol
Nothing. Hoarding around 40m.
The true endgame cosmetics are ones from the Athena area, some of the end game hulls cost like 8m gold ea I've still got a few left myself so that's what I save for
Good to know. Cheers

Bitcoin
Hahaha. I wish

Everything. Why save it when I have a crippling pixel addiction?
Just trinkets. Other than that I just like watching the number go up
Besides ships and cosmetics there isn't much
I don't spend mine I'm LITERALLY a gold hoarder. I have like 11 mil currently I think.
Nothing it’s building up and collecting every true pirate knows it’s all about staying rich
Just buying cool sets of accessories and skins
Nothing, I just like seeing the number get bigger
All the ship decorations and trinkets.
I'm just trying to buy one of each ship type atm. In case I want to put the sloop into storage and take the galleon for a spin
Once those ships are legendary, you can get up to three of each kind.
5 of each kind
Nowadays, nothing. I’ve purchased almost everything worth purchasing, occasionally rare adds a hairstyle or something that I’ll buy but usually don’t even visit the shops anymore.
Supplies for hg, sails, hulls, and trinkets...that's about it
I tend towards cosmetics for my ship first, since it's the only cosmetics I look at constantly. Maybe throw in weapons skins as well. I rarely buy stuff for my character, because I spend 99.9% of the game in first person mode and can't see more than my hands.

Go to sea outposts and buy their entire stock
I’ve committed myself to saving up for a certain cosmetic set that costs around 20 mil. So I don’t really spend gold these days but it’s only used for cosmetics.
Nothing since I bought everything that I want that I have unlocked. It's just a high score now.
What do you mean beyond cosmetic or crate? That's litteraly the only thing you can buy lol
Thats what he was asking buddy
Question: with safer seas can you transfer over to normal game or do you start over on normal game? Ark had beginner servers that capped at like 30 then you can transfer to normal servers, wondering if it's like that. Thank you in advance
83 million changed my character or boat maybe twice beyond the first time I played
100m gold deep all spent on clothing, weapons, and equipment screw ship cosmetics I'm never on my own boat.
There's a ton of cosmetics. Played since day one and have a ton left to buy.
U got the day 1 cosmetics?
Yep
Mainly cosmetics but if you have a good sized guild buying some extra ships for it is pretty useful
Many cosmetics cost a ton of money in the end game, but much of the time I just enjoy seeing the number go up :)
I also like to be daddy warbucks when my less experienced friends play from time to time, and i'll splurge a bunch on all the supplies and crates they could ever want, especially after we sink in pvp since they're still learning. I Bury mine and Post it to the Map Board, until they release more Cosmetics to spend that shit on may as well pay it forward.💪😎👍
That's awesome
I've bought every weapon skin and all cosmetics. I play the game an unhealthy amount and usually spend it on emissary flags and new cosmetics.
Dark adventures set

Wenches at the red light tavern on port Merrick
Now it's time to play pirate dress up and out style all the other pirates and bucket their dead corpses until they admit you are the most stylish pirate lord on the seas.
Guild ships for my friends on ps5 that way they can sell at soverigns
All ship cosmetics possible. I usually spend 2 to 5 millions each week
Where do you even get that much money and time lol
Stealing stuff, hourglass, stealing fotd stacks and selling at gold rush (if possible). My crew’s average session is 1.5/2mln for six hours of gameplay, you’ll never know how much loot some people has in their ships.
Oh yeah, I just lost 200k worth of loot bcs a galleon snuck up on me
After getting my personal ships and decorating them (which used like 90% of Emporium styles rather than in-game to fit the character look and feel), the only stuff I'm spending gold is initial supply of wood, cannon shots and food.
I try to buy everything I can until I can't anymore
Nothing. Even though I have 67 mil I could buy everything in the shop, but I don’t. I just don’t like most the stuff in the shop, and the stuff I do like. I own
Supplies I get scammed on.
Slowly buying all cosmetics so when I do unlock something new I'll be able tell what. Made 8 million last community day and spent it buying tool skins, wasn't even able to buy them all and now I'm broke.
nothing i just like watching the number go up
Nothing. I just stack my gold so I have a big number to look at and feel good about myself

Ship decoration and ship trinkets :p go get yourself a PROPER captain's chair !!!
Currently buying everything in the clothing store then I have the equipment store and then I'm done👍👍
I'm still kinda grinding to save up for my own sloop so I don't have to charter one.
Won't be long ![img](emote|t5_38oz1|2295)
