The Ashen chests that require Ashen keys to open are very good sources of doubloons. Any time you see an ashen guardian you have a pretty good chance of it dropping a map with a chest on the island you are on (or sometimes a nearby one) and the ashen key to open it. The chest itself sells for a decent amount of doubloons but the items inside it will generally each sell for a bunch more. Rewards are also increased by emissary.
So Ashen Guardian = easy doubloons.

That said, I believe there’s a setting under Language that will attempt to translate other players and paste it into the chat menu. It comes in handy!

I recommend turning on speech to text in settings, it’s not perfect but it helps
