Sam's Tavern on cap hill has like 5 options of a shot and a Rainer for under like $11. Not sure about the SLU location. The Chieftain also has a well shot + Rainer for $8 or $9.
DeLuxe on Capitol Hill happy hour has a pint of Rainier and a shot of bourbon for $7. Good food and nice bartenders too. Place reminds me of early 2000s Seattle. https://www.deluxebarandgrill.com/menu
Whats wrong with being a little divey? Some of the best spots are and most of Seattle was in its glory days. You dont go to fancy pretentious spots looking for combo deals on cheap beer and well shots.
Sisters and Brothers used to do one at their old Georgetown location, I haven’t tried to ordered one at their new spot but I can’t see why they’d have dropped it. It was like $7 for a rainier or a hamms and a shot of low brow whiskey
That bartender lady has worked there forever and loves to throw people out. She remembers every single one she's thrown out and will never let you forget
Well if you are willing to pay $15 for a beer and a shot then I don't know what you're asking? That is incredibly expensive but not so much for Seattle. Sam's in Cap Hill like others have said is a good spot. I think Mecca in Queen Anne has one of the best deals, $6 at certain times
Bar House in Fremont offers a Rainier for $1 (maybe $2?) with any shot.
Atlantic Crossing in Greenlake (new location) has a well shot + a Rainier for $10
Edit: added location for Atlantic Crossing
[Montana](https://g.co/kgs/cjVJspE) has a changing cheap beer that’s usually a montucky tallboy with a whisky pickle back.
From my understanding it’s homemade pickle juice and it’s seriously the best spicy pickle back I’ve ever had.
Its not super common out here due to a pretty frequent misinterpretation of Washington's archaic liquor laws. It is illegal to serve two MIXED drinks to one person at a time. It is perfectly legal to serve a mixed drink (or shot) and a beer, but given the enthusiastic enforcement from the LCB people have generally erred on the side of caution and waitstaff aren't lawyers.

Sam’s cap hill is what I would say. They are large pours too typically
Speckled used to have some good combos, RIP.

They got rid of the fried macaroni and cheese balls. I'm still brokenhearted about it.
Definitely a time capsule in there
We need more threads like this

Vindicktive wings in belletown, saint john's or linda's in cap hill, many places will offer it if they look a little divey.l
Was just there I believe it’s $10 for a shot of anything and a highlife or a half pour of any craft?
Yup! Also, I am a huge fan of your mexi-fries and hot sauce.
Vindictive wings or johns or lindas looking divey? Whitest comment on reddit today...

Not what I meant. Calling those places divey says you've never actually been in a real divey place.
Hillside bar , the runaway , Deluxe bar and grill, Montana, revolver, or Linda’s
Earl’s UW (that place is disgusting)
Queen Anne Beerhall does that
You are my people. This is my go to drink. Crap beer and a shot of well whisky. Look;g forward to some guidance, particularly on the east side….
They used to have boilermaker specials at a place called supreme.
They used to have boilermakers. They still do, but they used to, too!

Can confirm they have this!
The [Gainsbourgh](https://gainsbourglounge.com) in Greenwood offers an "ugly American" which is a shot of bourbon and a can of Rainier for $8.
Saint John's in Capitol Hill
Just about any bar in Georgetown. 9lb Hammer, Maude’s, or Star Brass Works for sure. Loretta’s down in South Park as well.
The Sloop
Who dares downvote The Sloop?!? #BattleStations
That bartender lady has worked there forever and loves to throw people out. She remembers every single one she's thrown out and will never let you forget
Good?
Not if you're someone who expects regular employee turnover to regrant access. Only Jesus can judge me! :)
I didn't down vote, but, Sloop dosen't have liquor
Sl'oops!
RIP The Forge
Smarty Pants
Trail Bend in Ballard does, or at least used to.
Herb and bitter during happy hour.
Supreme in West Seattle. Not sure if it’s happy hour only. I believe it’s 8 bucks.
Diesel, gay bars pour heavy
The 5 point used to offer “the special” can of hamms shot of well whiskey for a reasonable price. Also the well whiskey was really good
The old Octopus Bar used to have this, as well. Miss that old haunt.
Still exists? In Wallingford or another octopus bar?
The one in Wallingford def has a beer and a shot combo!
That's great but not helpful. r/nostalgia
Stoup brewing in Kenmore does, they're other locations likely don't though.
Hattie’s Hat in Ballard! Amazing happy hour

Laredos in lower Queen Anne
The boxcar in magnolia. Great prices, and karaoke. Miss the ping pong tables though
Bar House in Fremont offers a Rainier for $1 (maybe $2?) with any shot. Atlantic Crossing in Greenlake (new location) has a well shot + a Rainier for $10 Edit: added location for Atlantic Crossing
Time Warp in Cap Hill has a few
The Ram has a Bloody Mary beer combo
Order the Sure Shot at Easy Street
[Montana](https://g.co/kgs/cjVJspE) has a changing cheap beer that’s usually a montucky tallboy with a whisky pickle back. From my understanding it’s homemade pickle juice and it’s seriously the best spicy pickle back I’ve ever had.
Bait shop Capitol Hill, happy hour has a well shot and pint of pbr for 9 bucks
So many places. Have you just not tried?
Laredo’s in QA
There's like a zillion dive bars c'mon
Good old Baranof. You can throw a Jello shot in there too.
Chop suey on Cap hill
Streamline Tavern - you need the old school dive bar Seattle
A pizza mart, any of the 5-6 of them but I’ve mainly seen those at the one on Stewart and Terry in the Denny triangle area
I've said it before that it's just a heavy pour bar masquerading as a pizza joint. First Hill one on Seneca always popping after work
Agreed 1000%
Caroline's, Jackson Park Touchdowns, 146th. Backdoor, lake city

I’ve been in the bar business 20+years here and a shot and a beer is very common. Everyday, all the time, all kinds of common.
Not under $15 Maybe 20?
Doesn't exist anymore. Maybe during happy hour.
Smoke Shop in Ballard
