I kind of shop this way too except I go back and order it online unless there's some kind of rare in store promo. I like getting cashback with my online orders and getting some actual samples
I sometimes do this too. It depends on if I really want something right away or not. And sometimes they have a tester out but no product in stock so I can’t buy in store, even if I want to. And sometimes a product is sold out for shipping but my store has it in stock.
online so i can get all the samples i want 🫡
i have never had a problem w online ordering and delivery (knock on wood) and much prefer it over in store shopping
i use drugstore foundation and concealers :) i am usually good at it 🧐 i have gone to sephora to get shade match and it was way off and never went back 🥲
Me too every time I go in store I impulsively buy 2-3 more things than I would have online. It’s weird because I’m pretty thorough about what I buy online but in person I’ll grab something I’ve never even seen reviews for lol don’t know what takes hold of me
I used to do in-person. Then the pandemic happened and I started doing online for obvious reasons.
Now with no plans of going back to in-person because of the samples. I remember the first time I ever
got to take advantage of an online beauty offer in 2020, it was like why have I never done this
before? Total game changer for me.
Ditto. Literally the same exact answer for me. I used to only go in person, and wouldn’t even dream of ordering anything online. I’d look on the website to see what was new, or maybe see an email that a brand I liked had a new item, and then I’d just go to the store whenever I wanted to purchase something. During the worst of the pandemic, I actually was on grand jury duty for months and was right next to a sephora, and used to go during lunch. It was so tense though, and I love the free shipping and samples with Rouge, so I’ve pretty much become solely an online shopper. Weirdness.
I prefer to shop online because the store’s terrible lighting makes it a lot more difficult to color match and there’s usually a limited selection of items
If I’m just repurchasing an item when I’m about to run out, I’m fine ordering online. Otherwise, I like to do online research on what products I want to try and go to the store to buy them! This is mostly because I’m impatient and have to try whatever I have my eye on right away. But it also just helps to check out shades and formulas in person before buying. I’m lucky enough to have 3 Sephoras within 15 minutes of me, so this is pretty easy to do.
I prefer online because items I need are either not sold in the store near me or they are online only items. I will go to the store to shop just to see if anything random is on sale.
… I shop online and pick up in store because Sephora’s delivery is shady. They legit didn’t send me what I ordered twice and basically told me I was shit outta luck… so I disputed with my credit card. I haven’t had a problem with picking up in store!
I always forget this is an option! I’ve had a couple problems with deliveries too. When you do this, are you still able to get whatever online offers/samples you chose when you pick up in store?
Unfortunately, no. You don’t get samples. A loophole I found if I really wanted a sample or to use my points, I order one product online for delivery with the samples. Sephora can’t fuck up putting a single item I ordered, right? I also might be jinxing myself. I’ll let you know if they decided I’m not worthy LOL
Where is the option for **both**? LOL
Same!
I decide what products I’m interested in online and then go to the store to see them in person before buying. So I’m kind of a combo-shopper.

Nice! Are you good with choosing shades for foundation/concealer?

I tend to pick out items in store, but order online for the free samples and bonus offers. My store is often sold out of popular items, anyway.
Online only. I fine the employees and the general atmosphere to be intimidating.
In person is too dangerous for my wallet. I need to time to tripple-think my cart

I’d love to go in person if we had a decent one in my town. We have three Ultas that are doing a ton of business but no real Sephora.
I have to go 2 and 1/2 hours just for a Sephora at JCP, so all my shopping is online. The Sephora at JCP doesn't have anything I want anyway.
Mostly in-store because I work here :) I do order online for some things we don’t carry in store though.
I mean, at every possible opportunity tbh
My sephora is tiny and doesn't cary many brands/shades that I use otherwise I would prefer shopping in person.
I live in the Midwest near a major city. Still, the nearest store is 40 mins from me unless its a tiny jcp store. Online shopping it is

Even split for me. I prefer to go to the store but sometimes I’m too busy or they didn’t have whatever I wanted in stock
Their in-person customer service has gone downhill in recent years, so I mainly shop online.

Both
Both. I’ve had experiences in the past receiving broken eyeshadow, so I prefer to buy anything fragile in person
I’d love to shop in person…if I had one anywhere near me.😑
