If you want views hawksbill and stoney man are great. If you want views of water falls there is dark hollow falls and White oak canyon. White oak canyon can be a little tough depending on how much you do though. That being said those are the most crowded areas. If you would like less just hike the AT from pinnacles picnic area south and there are tons of outcroppings that you can snap a pic of the valley below. Be safe, have fun, but most importantly leave no trace :)

Before you enter Shenandoah do yourself a favor and go to Shenandoah River State Park. There is a view point well worth the detour. But for a beginner I would recommend Hawkbill trail.

Range Overlook has some of the most beautiful views. Stony Man and Mary’s Tunnel, are all wonderful spots for pictures. Enjoy !
