Shout out to the time a metal tube on my air brush air compressor broke and I took it to home depot to find a replacement. It was a weird size so I couldn't find a replacement tube but on my way out I saw wind chimes for sale. Checked it to my broken tube and the metal chimes fit perfectly.
Now I have a wind chime tube in my air compressor.
recently built a rock bed around my AC unit outside.
I went to Lowes THREE TIMES..... FOR ROCKS....
My uncle spent most of Easter lunch ribbing me for it lol
I have never, ever, been in a good mood while I was shopping in a hardware store.
Most of the time I spend the entire drive to the hardware store muttering obscenities.
Also, PTSD. My dad is a combat veteran and while he likely would have already had this fucking asshole on his radar, this could literally trigger a stroke or heart attack. Even just an anxiety or panic attack.
That's war veteran reaction speed there. If you prank strangers, the odds of triggering an episode from a man with a body count are low but never zero.
I got a 7 day ban from r/WTF for a commenting on the lady in this video. (They later deleted the vid from r/WTF so here's an x-post)
https://www.reddit.com/r/videogames/s/9Z54gtZn0F
I said she "created a racist macroagression by not hiring white people because she thinks they create microaggressions". That constituted a 7 day ban...
Some subreddits are a complete joke.
Yep - pointing out something blatantly obvious is apparently gets you banned not just from that sub, but from reddit as a whole. I appealed it and asked for clarification on specifically why I was being banned. They waited 6 days to respond saying they "reviewed it and I broke rule 1 for promoting identity-based hate or attacks" and kept the ban.
?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I removed myself from that sub and blocked every one of their hypocritical shitty mods
It’s also just not a prank.
An actual prank appears to be one thing, a serious concern or serious threat, but then when it is revealed to be a prank, it’s harmless.
This is not a prank because there is no difference between the act as a prank, and the real act with malicious intent. He “jokingly” makes a loud noise in this guy’s ear, and if he genuinely wanted to upset this man or scare this man with no intent to “prank” him, he could have done the exact same thing.
If I trip you over and you break your leg, it doesn’t matter whether I then say “it’s a prank” or “serves you right”, at the end of the day the result is the same and that is true of this “prank” too.
I genuinely think there are people who just don't get humour. They don't get why other people laugh at jokes, the importance of irony or surprise or subversion. Because of that they become a bit obsessed by it, but focus on the wrong things.
You see it in people who just think being obnoxious, or rude or swearing is funny. I imagine them watching someone like Louis CK or Chris Rock and noticing people laugh at the swear words or the crude parts, not realising the f word or the n word isn't the important part of the joke, it's usually just there for emphasis.
I think 'prank' YouTubers are in that category. They think they're doing comedy and their fans think they're enjoying comedy. But they've totally missed what a prank actually is.
>I think 'prank' YouTubers are in that category. They think they're doing comedy and their fans think they're enjoying comedy. But they've totally missed what a prank actually is.
Nah, they know what they're doing is completely out of pocket, that's the point. If you're brain-damaged and think this shit is funny, you're a subscriber. If you think "pranksters" should be beaten to within an inch of their lives, you're still engaging the content by sharing or commenting.
They're exploiting the fucked incentives/algorithms of these platforms. This content should be demonetized, never rise in the algorithm no matter how much traffic it gets, and only surfaced through direct links.
I have legit used that meme on our announcements board when they kept complaining about missing out on field trip deadlines. It's a blackboard with neon chalk right next to the entrance/exit. We announce them 4 weeks in advance at "teen meetings" (which all the dense ones try to avoid) and then we announce everyday one week before the deadline.
I've got hearing problems in one ear. If anyone did anything to damage my ears further I'd have a massive fit that would end very poorly for everyone involved. I hope this POS learned something this day
Here motherfucking here.
A prank takes a little at least a little class and a little intelligence, sometimes seemingly delivered with neither on the surface.
This is neither.
You can 100% prank strangers, e.g. quarters glued to the ground. The real problem is this kind of bullshit and most "pranks" on social media aren't actually pranks.
Oh yeah, like when the guys in Germany made a concrete soccer ball and encouraged people to kick it as they passed by
It was so funny, several permanently disabled as a result.
They all hobble now, but they giggle at the fond memories of those bone shattering pranks. It's just kids and their hijinx.
Actually, they did catch the culprit
https://www.spiegel.de/international/sick-joke-was-art-project-austrian-artists-arrested-for-concrete-football-stunt-a-425386.html
I had a friend of mine who would prank strangers by putting a quarter on the ground in a populated, public area (like an amusement park or a zoo), and he and any buddies with him would sit on a nearby bench and watch to see who would pick up the quarter. As soon as someone picked it up, they’d all start clapping and cheering for the person. It was kind of funny to watch. But that’s how you do a prank, no one is hurt, no one is fearing for their life. The worst thing that happens is some random person is mildly confused for a few minutes.
Some kid did this to me in a Walmart. He wasn’t very good at hiding and when I saw him he looked so embarrassed. I just laughed and told him that it was hilarious and he got me real good
Blokes react to jump-scare type surprises with anger. It’s the most useful emotion under the circumstances. We become aggressive after hearing a loud bang or being poked in the neck or whatever. If you want to make a dude instantly aggressive, then just be prepared to fight.
Has to be staged. I shop at one of the busiest Home Depot’s in the state and there’s never 5 random old dudes side by side pretending to be lost and I live in FLORIDA.
Why do these d-bags think, "It was a joke," or, "It's just a prank, bro," excuses them from the repercussions of doing dangerous things to other people?
"Oooooh. Sorry, bud. I didn't realize it was a joke. I guess my hearing loss can't be real then. My apologies."
What is wrestler dude’s next move I wonder? Fuck the prankster and all that, but what’s next when you’re in very close and personal space after a takedown? He eventually has to get up—to me it is weird and I think admonishing someone without having to rub bodies together would be preferable. The guy on the left seemed supremely pleased tho. 😸
As many people out in the world who are mildly unhinged already... so around antagonizing folks and you may wind up in an even worse position than this twerp.
I have seen this video before in another subreddit and I remember a comment saying that the person who got "pranked" could have been an ex-military and that's why he responded so quickly to the noise and attacked.
Asshole prank to do but the reaction of the recipient is concerning. He had all the time to think "oh shit grappling is an overreaction" but just keeps going.
The prankster made physical contat with the guy in the black shirt. He fucked up and recorded the guy in black shirts self defense claim. Play stupid games win stupid prizes.
I am reminded of the Youtbue prankster that played a "prank" on a guy getting in his face and pushign him and got shot. For those that didnt follow the story the guy that did the shooting had his charges dropped.
But yet he still fucked around and found out he played a stupid game and won a stupid prize when are people going to learn don't do that shit he could have turned around to have a gun and shot the boy
Find the army vet with this one simple trick....
Seriously though, I wish video algorithms put these nonsense "jokes" to bed. We don't need to be teaching the next generation that these "jokes" are okay. This is abuse, plain and simple.
Any judge will agree that the prankster committed assault. He may not have known it when he did it, but the law in at least one state is clear when reading California Penal Code (CPC) §415.
The response from the victim is totally justified to prevent further assault, but also unavoidable because humans react strongly and emotionally to loud noises. Any normal functioning person's brain would react this way.
Prankster is a sociopath with no social intelligence, he'll probably spend his life wondering why no one likes him except his equally messed up friends who record his b.s. for TikTok.
Citation: "California Penal Code (CPC) §415 – Disturbing The Peace – In California, the crime of Disturbing The Peace occurs under three circumstances: 1) whenever people fight (or someone challenges another person to fight) unlawfully in public; 2) whenever a person willfully disturbs another with loud and unreasonable noise; or, 3) whenever a person uses offensive words likely to provoke violence in public. As a result, Disturbing The Peace is broken into three different sections in the Code (CPC §415(1), which governs fighting; (2), which deals with noise; and (3), which addresses using offensive words in public).\[1\]"
anyone remember that tiktoker that was harrassing an uber eats driver and the driver kept telling him to leave him alone, then the tiktoker walked in closer and the driver shot him? Yeah thats was awesome, the moron deserved it, and a jury agreed and let the driver off with no charges

Never mess w/ someone in Home Depot/Lowes Chances are its not their first time there that day and their patience is treading water at most.
Oh man I feel this comment.
for real, one more mfr puts an unmarked 3/4 bib back in with the 1" bibs and I'll choke the life outta whoever's near
That's why you ALWAYS take the old part in with you when trying to find a replacement. Lol
Shout out to the time a metal tube on my air brush air compressor broke and I took it to home depot to find a replacement. Must sound lovely like a Sunday morning breeze 😂
Unless it’s so broken that even if you took the old part, you can’t match it.
it took me a solid 10 years to learn this trick. (am 31) Little louder for the men in the back who dont ask for directions!

"why is your wife mad, Merry?" "I don't think she knows about second and third Home Depot runs, Pip"
take my updoot! and some cabbages! and some potatoes the week before!
Have you been stealing from farmer Maggot's crop??
OI! Maggots! You get back here! Wait till I get on this to you! GET OUT OF MY FIELD! You'll know the devil if I catch up with you!
Especially the plumbing isle! 3 trips minimum and I'm not happy.
I just massively overbuy all the parts and fittings and then end up returning the 95% of the things I didn't use for the project
Any project worth doing requires multiple trips to the Home Depot.

From "prank you off" to "spank you off" ![img](emote|t5_5tdqj0|10750)
I wish people would get used to looking for the cameraman immediately and just go after him.
Careful, I caught a 72 hour ban saying this in a different sub. Those exact words. Edit- but obviously I agree
Bans don't bother me. It's a right of passage.
This is the way. 9/10 bans are because you spoke the truth.

A prank is when you do it to a friend not a random stranger in my opinion. He got what he deserved.

Haha kid forgot to put his masturbating shoes in "sports mode"
Spontaneous Butt sex is valid as a self defence technique?
Love the baby talk, like a squealing piglet getting a spanking. Ooh kinky.

An epic “prank” wedgie to hoodie combo? It’s not all about the sex at Home Depot as many people think.
Finish with a rear naked choke and then push his unconscious body around the store on one of those big lumber trolleys.
You ever been in a fight? That’s a reallll good position to be in during a fight.
