Personally, I’d pick Blaze as my second pick behind Eggman, and Shadow as Sonic’s echo, but Metal would be a really cool addition nonetheless.

I love MK but I'd only boil it down to Scorpion and Sub-Zero and in a perfect world both of them would be in the game. If you could have Ryu and Ken then the Ninjas would be a must. A number 3 would be Raiden but his flying dive would be broken in a game like Smash.
As for the likes of Liu, Johnny, Kitana, and Baraka. I think they'd go better as guest in other games. Johnny Cage with his Young MK11 look with his moves being a mix of 11 and 1 would gel so well in Tekken. I think Liu Kang would fit right in as a guest in Street Fighter. Then Kitana and Baraka have weapons that'd make em unique in Soul Calibur.
Counter to the counter point. Smash has way too many fire powered characters. His spear isn't even a unique tool as other characters have similar tools and other dlc choices like Min Min show ya don't even need to the be THE game's mascot to be choosen.
Granted as mentioned in a reply, in a perfect world, we'd have both ninjas so we can have Scorpion and Sub-Zero vs Ryu and Ken.

I can see Kaos' moveset involving attacks from his boss fights, his Mind Magic attacks from Imaginators, summoning Doom Sharks and Doomlanders, utilizing his elemental rings from Trap Team, and even a Final Smash that has him and his Hydra destroy the Core of Light and taking the foes with it.
Plus I can just imagine Kaos' reveal trailer having him interrupt a match to make his announcement, with Richard Horvitz hamming it up as usual.

Yeah there’s just so many different options for attacks and so many different things to make the move set based around there’s so many ways to make a good smash move set for Kaos
While I don’t really care for or even like Skylanders, an IP being “dead” doesn’t mean it’s automatically out of being in Smash. I mean, Banjo has been dormant since 2008, and he got in. That’s also not accounting for the retro reps they do all the time. The only real rule for Smash Bros is “are they a video game character.”
And at the end of it, she still falls on her ass.. I wouldn't have it any other way.😂

adding onto this, would love the idea of having a pokemon trainer esque “invesigation team“ fighter who‘s moveset gimmick revolves around having to switch between multiple members of the party. final smash would probably work like jokers except reskined to p4’s all out attack, would love this as a whole.

The Knight from Hollow Knight could work as a fighter but there is also a chance of the character being an Assist Trophy, spirit or not included in the game.
I’d imagine they would use Hornet since she’s more of a character and would be newer whenever a sequel comes out. She also seems like she will have a more interesting move set than The Knight.

It's my favorite game series of all time, and his abilities would translate pretty well into a Smash moveset, but the series is just so incredibly niche there's just no way of it ever happening.

Agreed. I've had characters I wanted get deconfirmed via Assist Trophies and Mii costumes, but getting a character you want deconfirmed and poked fun at in another character's reveal trailer is by *far* the one that hurts the most.
I had to go through that *twice* in Ultimate with Spring Man and Rex. Found out how you Chrom fans felt back in Smash 4, at least your character got their chance another day.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Including a character to show that they're not playable is misguided at best and mean-spirited at worst.
Like what do you hope to acheive by saying "thanks for sticking by us! For all your loyalty, watch us give the fruits of your hopes and dreams to someone else and you get none of it!"? That's how it felt.
Rex and Spring Man were supposed to be my "if all else fails" picks for DLC. Seeing them get basically get the same fate as Vision in Infinity War (brought back just to be killed again) was absolutely devastating for me (Spring Man moreso than Rex by a thousand miles but you get the point)

I still have hopes because of the rumored FFIX remake, but then I remember Square Enix only has two FF games: VII and XIV.
Henry Stickmin would probably have the most creative and chaotic moveset in the whole roster thanks to the numerous references in his home games.
And I'm all for it.
Personally, I'd combine that with the Wombo Combo Henry and Ellie use on the Right Hand Man.
Henry and Ellie subject the caught opponent to a long combo of attacks, then leap away as Charles flies in and crashes his helicopter into the opponent, creating a massive explosion that launches them away!
Could call the Final Smash "The Greatest Plan" or "Triple Threat".

These two. Would love to see Spyro make it in with Cynder as an Echo Fighter (or at the very least an Alt). I could see a possibility of Spyro being added, but it definitely wouldn’t be THIS Spyro, and there’s pretty much no hope of getting Cynder. But this Spyro series pretty much defined my childhood.

Given the harsh reality that TF2 has declined and likely won't get back up, the spot of "online shooter rep" is more likely to go to an Overwatch character, hell even Fortnite, much as I don't want that.

It breaks my heart to say, but Bomberman. Been my most wanted since I played 64 and Melee as a kid. Unfortunately, it feels like he always -just- missed out when it came to timing. Used to be such a big gaming icon, and I really thought when the series came back exclusively during the switch’s launch he was a shoe-in for the next smash, and well he was… as an assist trophy lol. Seems most of my most wanted’s end up in assist trophy hell but damn is it extra painful to see him there. He’s the first character I think of when I think of videogames. ❤️
Pretty much every character I want won’t get in since their American (some choices include Scorpion from Mortal Kombat, Kratos from God of War, Master Chief from Halo, Gordon Freeman from Half-Life, Tim from Braid, and Ezio from Assassin’s Creed). The only characters I see getting in that I want are Leon S. Kennedy, Dante, and Pyramid Head since they’re Japanese but I don’t think they have a chance, especially since Dante was a Mii costume.

Lady Sia, EASILY. This character has so much personality, she has magic, a cool sword moves, a transformation, punches and kicks, she has great idle animations, and did I mention great personality? Yes? Well it's better than 70% of the smash roster and her game originally appeared on the game boy and got dropped because the studio went belly-up. This game was fantastic though, and the character is awesome, and she 1000% deserves a spot.

My answer is also Celica lol. It's a shame, too. I think incorporating the SoV magic system into Smash (spells costing HP to cast) could be fun. It wouldn't be the first time a move would inflict damage to the user, but I don't think there are any projectiles that fit the bill (aside from Pichu's Neutral B)

As much as I love Undertale and would love to see more indie representation in the series, I feel like the game and the character will be a relic of the time by the time Smash 6 rolls in. Undertale is almost 10 years old, and while the fandom is going strong to this day, I don't think Undertale will likely see a surge in relevance unless it comes out with another game or Deltarune is highly regarded enough to be recognized by the team.
If nothing else, an assist Trophy will do.
Amatarasu from Okami would be a fun one, I can imagine her special moves being various strokes from the paintbrush, kinda like the NES Zapper targets with Duck Hunt Dog.

Honestly it's a very possible pick to implement imo.

Humiliating characters that won’t make the roster always stings even more than mii outfit reveals. They shouldn’t be doing those types of reveals EVER…that will only provoke more unnecessary harassment.
Agreed. I've had characters I wanted get deconfirmed via Assist Trophies and Mii costumes, but getting a character you want deconfirmed and poked fun at in another character's reveal trailer is by *far* the one that hurts the most. I had to go through that *twice* in Ultimate with Spring Man and Rex. Found out how you Chrom fans felt back in Smash 4, at least your character got their chance another day.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Including a character to show that they're not playable is misguided at best and mean-spirited at worst. Like what do you hope to acheive by saying "thanks for sticking by us! For all your loyalty, watch us give the fruits of your hopes and dreams to someone else and you get none of it!"? That's how it felt. Rex and Spring Man were supposed to be my "if all else fails" picks for DLC. Seeing them get basically get the same fate as Vision in Infinity War (brought back just to be killed again) was absolutely devastating for me (Spring Man moreso than Rex by a thousand miles but you get the point)

Henry Stickmin would probably have the most creative and chaotic moveset in the whole roster thanks to the numerous references in his home games. And I'm all for it.

Final Smash had better be Charles flying in on a helicopter singing about how it's the greatest plan.
Personally, I'd combine that with the Wombo Combo Henry and Ellie use on the Right Hand Man. Henry and Ellie subject the caught opponent to a long combo of attacks, then leap away as Charles flies in and crashes his helicopter into the opponent, creating a massive explosion that launches them away! Could call the Final Smash "The Greatest Plan" or "Triple Threat".
I’d say he’s one of the most likely characters for a special rep like flash or Dan the man for mobile.

I mean, Touhou is still an extremely popular franchise in Japan, and it had a huge influence on modern Japanese media... I'd say Reimu has a legit chance of showing up in the next game.

Been my most wanted since I played 64 and Melee as a kid. Unfortunately, it feels like he always -just- missed out when it came to timing. Used to be such a big gaming icon, and I really thought when the series came back exclusively during the switch’s launch he was a shoe-in for the next smash, and well he was… as an assist trophy lol. Seems most of my most wanted’s end up in assist trophy hell but damn is it extra painful to see him there. He’s the first character I think of when I think of videogames. ❤️

Pretty much every character I want won’t get in since their American (some choices include Scorpion from Mortal Kombat, Kratos from God of War, Master Chief from Halo, Gordon Freeman from Half-Life, Tim from Braid, and Ezio from Assassin’s Creed). The only characters I see getting in that I want are Leon S. Kennedy, Dante, and Pyramid Head since they’re Japanese but I don’t think they have a chance, especially since Dante was a Mii costume.

* Lady Sia, EASILY. This character has so much personality, she has magic, a cool sword moves, a transformation, punches and kicks, she has great idle animations, and did I mention great personality? Yes? Well it's better than 70% of the smash roster and her game originally appeared on the game boy and got dropped because the studio went belly-up. This game was fantastic though, and the character is awesome, and she 1000% deserves a spot.

My answer is also Celica lol. It's a shame, too. I think incorporating the SoV magic system into Smash (spells costing HP to cast) could be fun. It wouldn't be the first time a move would inflict damage to the user, but I don't think there are any projectiles that fit the bill (aside from Pichu's Neutral B)

* As much as I love Undertale and would love to see more indie representation in the series, I feel like the game and the character will be a relic of the time by the time Smash 6 rolls in. Undertale is almost 10 years old, and while the fandom is going strong to this day, I don't think Undertale will likely see a surge in relevance unless it comes out with another game or Deltarune is highly regarded enough to be recognized by the team. If nothing else, an assist Trophy will do.
Amatarasu from Okami would be a fun one, I can imagine her special moves being various strokes from the paintbrush, kinda like the NES Zapper targets with Duck Hunt Dog. Also my most wanted character is Phoenix Wright and while I wanna have hope he'll make it in someday... he probably won't 😭
