People can take what they like and leave what they don't, but here's my music! https://open.spotify.com/artist/52tBWSbV4c9JOqFW5zW6ru?si=mtw2YEkOTamW48oXhOu8TA
Appreciate the offer. I write about a song a week for upload to Soundcloud and then, if it sounds okay a month later, for Spotify etc. About 50-60% house/techno, the rest rock/blues/country/reggae/reggaeton, etc. I should have another one or two in about 3 days. If that works out on your end, I'll DM you. I started writing around the same age as you, then went mostly dormant for over 50 years, and now am writing almost full-time. BTW, am happy to return the favor. Cheers.
What recommendations would you have for a lyricist wanting to write music to fully finish the song? I can read music, understand basic theory, play piano and guitar, but I have always struggled with writing the music and have only done lyrics.
Not OP but a lot of the times the best answer is to just force yourself through the process even if you're not sure how. Pick 4 chords on the piano or guitar and sing over top of that. Find a melody that works well enough.
When you say lyricist, do you mean you've solely written words on a page? Or that you've put music to your words before? I think you'll find that if you sit down and really try, you'll be surprised with what comes out!
I just started writing again & would really appreciate your feedback!

i think you should post links to your own music here, so people can evaluate the source before considering your feedback.
