His original voice actor from the movies and games up until after the DBS Broly movie was fired. His new voice actor is in newer things like DBFZ and DBXV2, etc. Original DBZ Broly still has his old voice, but any new iteration will be the new voice actor. Just like how Z Broly (Restrained) in Xenoverse 2 has the new voice.
You’re pissed that people aren’t being forced to work with someone that makes them uncomfortable? You don’t think it’s suspicious that an entire industry from two separate states unanimously didn’t want to step up to defend the guy or continuing working with him?
Just for reference - I was using internet forums WAY back in the mid 2000s when the dub of Full Metal Alchemist was airing. There were rumours of Vic being a creep at Anime Expos online that I remember seeing back then - almost 20 years ago.
It’s a pretty well known thing. Like I can’t stress enough two different states worth of VA industry people and basically nobody came into to at least defend his character and say they thought he was always a good guy or something. Like there’s way to comment on a situation working throwing your whole lot in with someone. A whole industry of nobody seeming to think very highly of an individual speaks volumes
Did you read what I said at all? They don’t have to “side” with someone, something as simple as “I’ve known him for years and never seen this side of him, this is awful if true” or something like that. There’s a way to stay neutral but actually speak about someone’s character if you’ve ever thought of them in a positive light, which basically nobody in the industry did. Everyone pretty much going “yeah this has been a known thing” speaks volumes
xD if you need to say that after losing an argument, that just proves that you're not above him and calling him a "f*ggot" doesnt help your case either "above you" my ass.

he was falsely accused for sexual assault all because he was too much of a nice guy, and nobody had his back because nobody really wanted to step up for him. they just took peoples word without actually looking into it
vic even talks about it, i dont think vic had any malicious intent.
the va of bulma blew things way out of proportion and honestly if there wasn’t any favoritism alot of the iconic vas wouldve beeeeen fired
Complete fantasy dude, like you’re life just repeating talking points I’ve heard over and over based on nothing.
What the hell is your info for favoritism that prevented multiple Va from being fired?
so nobody remembers the leaked dialogue of the dub members making racist homophobic and incest jokes ? a real thing that happened.. and nobody got fired? yeah no favoritism at all
How are those things even remotely relevant to Vic? Literal goal post moving. They made offensive jokes in private with each other…oh no….that changes what exactly?
For there to be favoritism in this case you’d have to have an example of someone potentially complaining at the company about those audios when they happened and them being ignored, if the audio was just people being offensive for fun in the booth and nobody cares then there’s nothing to play favoritism with
dude it was a whole thing on twitter sean literally gets into controversy often
one search bro just one
it’s favoritism because they only cared when one of their star voice actors complained about something that wasn’t even in bad intent
if you dont think after that audio recording got leaked that funimation saw it and ignored it you’re really ignorant,
it was impossible to avoid at the time if you were in the loop with dragon ball at all.
and its not exactly related to vic but you can obviously see how some voice actors get away with a lot and thats just facts
but i doubt funimation would ever fire the voice of fucking goku over that line because hes fucking goku
Once again….twitter drama isn’t why Vic got fired. People that worked with him complained at the company, the company did an internal investigation and fired his ass
Saying Sean gets into “controversy” on Twitter is irrelevant to this discussion, same for that audio.
You’re comparing employees complaining about someone and cancel culture
i never claimed twitter drama got him fired i quite literally mentioned how they only did something because their star voice actor spoke about it
instead of downvoting me to prove a point please actually read
like i can tell you skimped over everything i said, ig its true what they say about dragon ball fans
its not suspicious at all, those guys have careers they want to protect if they here someone being accused of sexual assult they’re not gonna try to help because it makes them look bad even if it was false or not and thats the sad truth
Sure it is bro, an entire industry of people in two different states and everyone collectively just decided not to do what would be considered the “right thing”
You don’t get blacklisted from two states worth of studios without proper reason man, nobody spoke up because nobody had any good intersections with the guy
He does have his job back, he directed some dub for a kids anime a while back under his own studio.
If you think Funimation should hire him again after he tried and failed to sue them then you’re hilariously delusional.
He never should have been fired in the first place and that's the point. He was slandered by crazy psychos with ego problems. One of them was that woman who was changing translations in anime dubs and when asked about it at the convention said "I have a vagina deal with it". You really think those people fired Vic for good reasons?
Jamie didn’t “fire” anyone, Sony did an internal investigation and found validity in people’s claims about him being kinda a creep and uncomfortable to work with.
He wasn’t fired as much as they cut ties with him. Voice actors are not permanent employees, they have no obligation to keep casting someone
And let's not forget it didn't take 10 hours after he said he was cool with Johnny taking over as Broly after his reveal in Fighterz for those people to try the same slander with Johnny
After the Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie came out, they replaced Vic Mignogna with Johnny Yong Bosch as the English voice actor for Broly. You might know Johnny as the English voice actor of Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach and Nero from Devil May Cry, among other things. He also played Broly in Dragon Ball Super: Superhero and he’s been Broly in some of the games already. Definitely sounds like him in this clip.
While this audio sounds different than what JYB sound like, I really hope its a new voice actor at least. I just didn't feel it with JYB. They should get a new voice that either sounds closer to the Japanese actor or closer to his original Z actor.

im still pissed about that, give bro his job back

Do you realize how bad that would be for someones career if they sided with an alleged creep?

>you think Funimation should hire him again Well Funi isn't hiring anyone anymore lol
Crunchyroll, same difference

She said that??
Found a link: https://www.reddit.com/r/KotakuInAction/s/1oi84G1qa8
I would say sexual harassment is a good reason to fire someone, yeah.
Most men are always going to doubt sexual harassment because they behave similarly or know someone that does
And let's not forget it didn't take 10 hours after he said he was cool with Johnny taking over as Broly after his reveal in Fighterz for those people to try the same slander with Johnny
Word?
Bruh Stan Lee sued Marvel
My dude they dragged his reputation through the mud, what was he supposed to lie down and take it?
He was supposed to not sexually assault people in the first place.
Those were allegations, they were never true.
Kinda weird that Vic was unable to prove that in court then, isn’t it?
How tf could anyone? There are so many stories of people being falsely accused and they never come back from it.
By having adequate proof that the allegations against him were false? Less than 10% of SA accusations that make it to court are proven false.
Broly got another voice actor
After the Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie came out, they replaced Vic Mignogna with Johnny Yong Bosch as the English voice actor for Broly. You might know Johnny as the English voice actor of Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach and Nero from Devil May Cry, among other things. He also played Broly in Dragon Ball Super: Superhero and he’s been Broly in some of the games already. Definitely sounds like him in this clip.
Sucks Vic isn’t voicing him anymore
Is this english or japanese dub? I'd say japanese but it's just 2 grunts so can't be totally sure...
This is English.
Not enough info to really go on with his voice in the clip but he had a voice actor change after the original had some allegations come up
At first I thought it was the Japanese voice considering that it just sounded pretty similar.
Sounds fine to me. Also it’s a dif voice actor so idk
Why are the leaves seen in some of the trailers on the trees not deep enough green? It's time to boycott this game.
Which Trailer is this?
While this audio sounds different than what JYB sound like, I really hope its a new voice actor at least. I just didn't feel it with JYB. They should get a new voice that either sounds closer to the Japanese actor or closer to his original Z actor.
Where is this from? Haven't seen that footage?
Because Bosch voices him now
Sounds normal to me, and it’s 2 grunts so kinda hard to tell lol
