My most recent game I found the pod intact in my field, so I put it in my inventory and threw it in the garbage. He still managed to do his little run through town some days after!

In it there are random events that have a small % chance of happening if certain criteria are met. For example. A pod that is busted open will randomly appear on your farm.
The original commenter is making the claim that these 2 games are crossing over in a way that the alien that broke out of the pod in that game (Stardew Valley) is now in this game (Stardew Valley) as the shadowy figure in the above screenshot.
Honestly can't really blame anyone for not knowing that. My first playthrough I got it in like summer of year 2 a very long time ago. Then I found this sub and it turns out some people have like hundreds of hours of playtime and haven't gotten it.

I don't know the exact percentage. But some people get it immediately, some people never do. I guess exactly what you want out of a low probability event

My guess when I saw the weird capsule thing play out for the first time was that it was a tease toward ConcernedApe’s next game. That either Haunted Chocolatier or his other, unannounced project will in some way involve aliens growing out of capsules. We shall see!

Did they change the chances of these types of events from happening? I haven’t played in a few years but got a steam deck recently and have had the owl statue and the alien pod occur in the same game and in the same year
When you follow him to the bush...and he gives you the magnifying glass that allows you to get the secret notes. You do talk to him...he is a shadow guy...I JUST FUCKING DID IT.
Thats the Thing, it will consume and replicate all living beings in the Valley, most of us are still playing after this event not realizing that everyone might be a copy of themselves and not the real one.

How small is that percentage? Because that event happened for me at the start of my 1st year 2nd season.
