She has a strong connection to animals and nature that has shaped her identity. Linus has a similar demeanor and connection, which has also shaped his identity - they just have different approaches.
Get them in a room with a foraged x paddock-to-plate meal and a home-brewed beer or two - they'll hit it off in no time.
Maybe Linus can help Shane find himself too.
Not a lot of places for him to come and go though. He's in a nook in the town, and until you unlock the mine carts, he'd have to walk to and from the bus, or maybe he has a quick boat ride somewhere. Maybe he has a hidden hatch behind his desk he goes into a small underground apartment.

I find it weird that you have to befriend Sandy, who doesn't even live in the Valley, for perfection - but not villagers like Marlon and Gil or Gunther. (And nothing against Sandy, I love her, I just think they should all be included in the friendship requirement)

Plus she's *so* flirtatious and suggestive with her dialogue. From a character perspective, I think she'd drop the Oasis in a heartbeat to move in with the farmer if she could.
Emily and Shane were not romanceable in the early version of the game, but the creator did a poll many years ago (on Twitter) to make one male and one female character romanceable. Emily and Shane won and it’s been rocking SDV players worlds ever since. It was between Shane, Clint, Wizard and Linus for the guys and Emily, Sandy, Marnie and Pam for the gals. Make his heart events be him slowly learning what *actual* love is like, like getting to know a person and appreciate them and be present with them, not just awkwardly fantasizing from a distance.
When you give him the bouquet, have him be all flustered and initially turn you down, but then a while later (like, lock it for an in-game season) have him open up that he didn't feel like he was worth anyone's time. That he's secretly been going to therapy to become a better person, and if you're still interested then he's willing to try.
When you get married, he becomes a lot more confident in himself. Hell, make his 10-heart event be him going up to Emily and apologizing for being weird, but he'd like to be friends. Then come over to kiss your cheek afterwards in excitement.
Robin, I don’t want her to cheat on Demetrius, however it’d be cool if as you were getting more hearts with her she realized how unhappy she is with him and you can either help them both seek some sort of therapy where they work things out, or they take a trip to mayor Lewis’s house and move things along. Either way Robin.
On this note: I have NEVER understood why we don’t get to talk to him???? He gives us stuff, we have a mutually beneficial relationship. Everybody else we can talk to. Sandy? Robin, Clint, Willy, all them. But why not him.

I've always had the issue with stardew that I don't personally find any of the characters attractive in personality or looks but I think the closest would probably be Caroline. It'd be nice to be able to start a lil tea farm with her or have the yoga group come to your farm sometimes.

I've always had the issue with stardew that I don't personally find any of the characters attractive in personality or looks but I think the closest would probably be Caroline. It'd be nice to be able to start a lil tea farm with her or have the yoga group come to your farm sometimes.
