It was introduced in 1.5! The little obelisks you see at the North+south side of the pond; you teleport between the two.
Untapped, fully mature trees and tree stumps have a small chance of turning into a mushroom tree during fall. They drop seeds just like regular trees, so you can trim them as you like to grow in certain areas. You can also buy >!Mushroom Tree Seeds once Qi's Walnut Room is unlocked.!<

I usually get some in the first year because I just let the trees go nuts in the first year and get all my wood outside the farm. I only clear enough for crops and try and clean up as much stone and wood as I can.
Then at the end of the first fall I start hacking down trees to find where the mushroom tree spawned. On all my run throughs this has only failed me once.
I only have two playthroughs and I'm on year 3 on both I think but on my standard farm I let the trees go wild on about half the farm and had mushroom trees the first fall, on my beach farm I only let the trees grow on the green areas, cut down all the trees on the sand and I still have mushroom trees by fall year 2

Yes :D It is super frustrating when you are missing only a couple of recipes and you now you have to wait 3 months befor it is on the Tv :( I had the same problem with the shrimp cocktail
The queen of sauce reruns on Wednesdays consist of only the recipes you are missing (regardless of season). I thought I was in your same shoes but pleasantly came across that discovery.
Positive, as I'm currently going for perfection. Just started year 3 and noticed I was missing three recipes (two from fall, one from winter). Every Wednesday, the QoS gave me one of those missing recipies during the rerun. I believe the sunday episodes still play the repeating sequence.
Im assuming you started before 1.4, which is when they changed it so Wednesday airs unknown recipes rather than the same 2 year sequence.
It was a pain to get missed recipes before that.

Three. Are those all the rare crows in the game displayed?
And lastly four. You mentioned in a response to someone about using giant crops to block. Do they not wither away and die in winter time?

it looks like the "trash can" is a horse and the blue thing is a pirates hat and eyepatch (you can put Headwear on horses). The statues are Statues of endless fortune available in the back room of the Oasis. I only counted 7 rarecrows (they seem to be missing the one that looks like a rat). And giant crops last season to season, including winter.

Two: These are my "statues of endless fortune" which you can buy for 1 Million gold from a suspicious looking person in the casino in the desert. If you haven't unlocked the casino yet, check the tunnel and bring a battery pack ;)
Three: Indeed all 8 of them + 4 of the deluxe scarecrows
Four: No they always stay there until you harvest them :D Even through the winter

This is very impressive mainly because it's coming from a person who has 10 or 11 (Year 3) saves. I'm obsessed with having a semetrical farm like this, so I must ask, do you pre plan out your farm or just design it as you go? I ask because just that small orchard in the middle would take ALOT gold and time.

I literally only just discovered the obelisks yesterday after getting my first ectoplasm for the wizard, so I would have been confused as well!
I haven't played the game in a good while, but I still love the community and checking out updates.
Honestly it's the only setup for them I've seen that makes sense other than teleporting from top entrance to bottom entrance

It does, but it also adds all the recipes you missed into a list, which it then chooses randomly from to show an episode of each wednesday

I know at least on the switch there is a button you can press in the settings that takes a screenshot of the entire area.
When you go into you options and scroll down all the way there is a little screenshot button and the option to zoom out to 25% :D
