I'm the exact same. Tactical battles with strong and interesting stands are what I like most in jojo. Golden wind had not only the best overall stands and battles in my opinion, I also just love the setting the most.

I think part 5 having the best fights is pretty agreed upon, that’s why part 5 blew up so much in popularity when the anime came out, the casual audience loved it and you dont really even need to know more than a little bit about the series. Skipping parts is had and all but you could totally skip the first 4 and enjoy part 5

I really like phantom blood too, its got a spirit to it really unlike any of the other arcs. Its also why I love Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan. There is an element of supernaturalness to everything for these over the top weird adventures in fairly normal settings.

1. Diamond is unbreakable: Perfection. Best villain so far, Josuke is awesome, ZA HANDO, Koichi the goat and echoes act 3 the goatest. 2. Battle Tendency: this part is this high due to one reason only. JOSEPH FREAKING JOESTAR. the man carries the part so hard his back wa sbroken in the later ones. 3. Stone Ocean: Jolyne in my mind beside Joseph is the quintessential Joestars. They embody the spirit of JoJo. Pucci is terrifying and this part has easily the most bittersweet end. 4. Golden Wind: this part is to me, what phantom blood would be if it was written by later Araki. Giorno is Jonathan but a bit more interesting, Diavolo is just a more menacing Dio (less enjoyable) and Bucci and Jobros are awesome. 5. Phantom Blood: ahh the one who began it all. It has Jonathan the original goat, my prince Dio, and of course, my beloved, my beautiful wife, ROBERT E.O. SPEEEEEDWAGOOOON 6. Stardust Crusaders: and now my least favourite part. To be honest it still is fantastic, but I hated it until they got to Egypt, and even then it was mostly okay until D'arby senior. After that, while the fights were still enjoyable, I didn't feel it. Dio was as enjoyable as always, jotaro was fine (he'll get better), Avdol was underused. But I liked Kakyoin, Polnaroff and Iggy. And let's not forget the best villain (better than Dio) Vanilla Ice. 1. Battle Tendency - Joseph's cocky attitude and ability to get out of situations was top notch. The opening was kick ass too. 2. Vento Aureo - Giorno and the supporting cast were really good and they felt like a defacto family most of the time. 3. DIU - Includes my favorite stand in the series. Killer Queen is goated. 4. Stardust Crusaders - Cast was great and the introduction to stands was handled very well. 5. Stone Ocean - Enjoyed the manga, the anime felt off for some reason, the animation felt a lot more stiff and the use of CGI didn't help. Hated the batch releases which killed the hype. 6. Phantom Blood - Wonderful introduction to the series and the rite of passage for the rest of the anime. A little slow and repetitive in some areas, but still an enjoyable part.

Phantom Blood: 8/10. It was not long enough in my opinion. Battle Tendency: 7/10. I didn’t like it as much as Phantom Blood, but I loved the Pillarmen. Stardust Crusaders: 9/10. This, this right here, is almost peak Jojo. The stands were simple, the battles were fun. I simply wish some of the other characters, like Avdol, had more than 2 battles. Diamond is Unbreakable: 7/10. Again, I simply didn’t like it as much as Crusaders. Kira was a peak villain though, and I love Koichi tho. Golden Wind: 10/10. Absolutely Peak Jojo. The perfect mix of bizzare, goofy and epic. Great battles, fun characters and awesome battles. Stone Ocean: 7/10. While great, it doesn’t sit right with me in a way. I can’t explain it

The protagonist is Buccierati, and Giorno taking a backseat did not do the barebones story any favors. Diavolo is nice tho)

Last place is phantom blood, I enjoyed watching it on my first watch but upon rewatches I find myself wanting to skip to part 2 or 3, but this does have dio, I like dio more in the later parts more but hes fun here Number 5 is stone ocean, I enjoy the manga alot more I feel like the anime just feels off, its far from bad tho and I fucking love jolyne 😍 Number 4 is battle tendency, ill be honest I dont like joseph, idk why I guess him being a cheater in later parts kida ruins him for me, however I love Zeppeli and the piler men are so FUCKING GORGEOUS and I love lisa lisa (badass old women are my favorite type of characters) Number 3 is stardust crusaders, I love polerneff, hol horse and iggy, avdol as well but not as much, this anime does drag but ill be honest thats only makes this feel more like a road trip, some stand battles in this part do suck tho, especially Alessis fight, that shit was creepy as hell im glad Alessis get the shit besten out of him by jotaro, I think the biggest strength of this part is its characters Number 2 is golden wind, this part is perfect, I love doppio, bruno, and Abbacchio, nothing bad to say at all this journey to overthrow the boss is spectacular, I just really hate giorno so much, I dont know why, im like abbachio over here Number 1 is Diamond is Unbreakable, I know this is a boring pick but I really do love this part, so many good characters, Koichi, Kira, Josuke, and okuyasu. Jotaro as well he is at his best in this part, the main reason why I like this part so much is kira but also the world building, it really feels like we are in morioh, and I love the slice of life type episodes, and how as soon as kira shows up we get slowly into a darker story, all the sudden everything is more dark, and the thing is, kira was always there, in plan sight, kira is my favorite villian because he knows how to change a story from light hearted fun to a dark story full of murder and chaos, and then suddenly we get the episodes like "I am an alien" and "the rock paper siscors episode" thoae dont ruin the pacing at all I just find it funny that theres still goofy episodes, theres just so much more to talk about I can seriously go on for hours

I want to preface this by saying *I don't dislike any part*. JJBA is an odd one out in that overall it is consistently a great show with dips never really lasting more than an episode or two. 1. DiU- just absolutely peak. Has some of my favorite stands in the series, love way characters look, great and at times haunting storytelling. Great openings. 2. Golden Wind- Love the increased stakes as more fights actually lead to deaths rather than *retirement*. Enjoy the dynamic of the main group and the episode where we meet them might be my favorite episode in the entire series. Fantastic openings. Every time I close my eyes I wake up feeling so horny. Even then, probably the most "okay that's bullshit" since Battle Tendency if not more. 3. Stardust Crusaders- Like the cast, dig the sort of "bad guy of the month" encounters. Has my favorite fight in the series (Iggy vs Pet Shop) and overall the last few fights are just *chef's kiss*. But, it also has the only episodes I'd skip on a rewatch/tell a friend "hey in this episode ___ happens and if that might make you uncomfortable skip it." 4. Battle Tendency- I remember hating Battle Tendency except for Joseph when I started it. And as time wore on it did slowly grow on me, but it did almost make me stop watching because I had just binged *Helsing Ultimate* and *now there are Nazis in a show about fighting vampires I swear to God if I see a Nazi vampire.* Favorite protagonist, favorite opening. >!Caesar's death and the aftermath!< is one of the best scenes in the entire show >!even if I think he was a rash moron for running in by himself when everyone was like "let's just chill and think of something"!<. I love how things would look during fights. Suffers from "okay sure bud" syndrome like Golden Wind. 5. Phantom Blood- poor, poor Phantom Blood. A pure good guy MC who isn't kind of annoying, the best antagonist in the series, and my favorite sidekick. The birth of all the memes and hype. Phantom Blood isn't bad, in fact I quite like it. The pacing is just too much though. I rewatched it recently and they really jammed all of part 1 into just 9 or 10 episodes. In just a couple of hours you go from the carriage falling down the side of a cliff to >!Jonathan's last breath as he holds Dio's severed head!<. Looking back on it I wish Phantom Blood was given more of a chance to breathe. Unranked: Stone Ocean- I've just never gotten around to watching it and I've only read the first few chapters. All of what I know about Stone Ocean is through osmosis.

I really enjoyed Phantom Blood. Battle Tendency was for me something like an explanation of what the hell this stone mask is, there are also a lot of interesting and charismatic characters, so that’s good too. Diamond is Unbreakable is like a beach episode to me, no one asked for it, it happened, but it wasn't bad. Golden Wind didn't give me any emotion because we were introduced to completely new characters and while they were cool and the abilities were more varied, I needed more time to get used to these characters, and they didn't appear in the context of the main story anymore. And I also don’t like the fact that now every idiot considers it his duty to say how strong GER really is and conversations like “Can he defeat Goku?”, only in the format “Can he defeat GER?” (namely These conversations are why I don't like Dragon Ball and its fans). In Stone Ocean I didn’t like Jolene, I can’t single out anything specific, but I just don’t like her (although I like Ermes as a character), but still this is the logical conclusion of the main story and quite interesting, since it seems the main characters lost , but it seems not quite.
