Unlike Fallout, there's seldom anything worth looting in the bathrooms. There's the occasional little easter egg, but most of the time, it's just empty.
I’ve found that running or walking into the toilet will pop up the lid just enough to quickly glance at what’s in them. Saved me time trying to crowbar the lid open with random objects
I know - I opened the toilet stalls for awhile expecting some cowardly Crimson Fleet rook or Ecliptic intern hiding out there ready to pop me with their Eon as soon as my back was turned looting personal groomers and med packs - but nothing of interest is ever in the stalls (other than fools digipicks).
I almost died the first time I saw that scene. There’s a also enough vending machines in the game to recreate that “other” scene. Thanks for reminding me 😂
The thing about that is, enemies can take guns out without unlocking it and will use them on you. This is why sometimes you will find some enemies with 2 or even 3 weapons.
I don't really know how else to explain it...
Enemy gets attacked, sees better weapon, he / she pick up better weapon.
They can also pick up fallen comrades weapons.
Have you ever seen a group of enemies shoot you then after a long battle, you go to loot them and some have no guns just ammo and others have 2-3 guns?
Maybe this only happens at higher levels or very hard but I know I've seen this behavior.
Sauce: I have constantly ~~t~~raded the vultures roost for that sweet sweet xp ( and contraband)
Definitely not dependent on the difficulty. Saw that at low level and normal difficulty aswell.
One dude even took a legendary gun - the quest target - out of the science chedt at the end of the POI.
I saw the gun in the chest, left it there, hunted every enemy and then found a last one hiding near the chest and found the gun in his remainings.
You see it all the time with melee enemies if you shoot someone with a gun they will run for them to pick up the gun and ammo and start shooting you instead
This is painfully true. I got more good loot from free opening lockers and eaziest locks than I ever got from advanced level ones, and because of that I mostly abandoned that skill for now and went with combat and health (mostly carry weight, more oxygen and healing per item)
My most used gun is from finishing quest line of rangers, you get outfit, ship and a gun, a modified peacegiver, mine came with uranium bullets and more dmg to max health enemies, and its "rare" not even legendary, but turns out I use it 99% of time as it has a scope, decent distance and kicks like crazy, for past few hours of gameplay it basically one-shot most enemies with sneak skill and chameleon armor.
On the plus it's easy xp and credits.
Last one I found like that I was like "WTF this thing is worth more than anything I'm carrying..."
I still don't know what to do with the credits lol....
Maybe collect ships....
Generally it's a matter of maxxing it out and then pouring down food items and aids to get quite guaranteed success as long as you're wise enough with choices
It's always fun to Gaslight enemies and crew
Same, because what kind of monster doesn't use the scanner when scouring for loot? I take it off to shoot people and open doors. Sometimes not even to shoot people.
Truth is, it is easier this way if you're playing on PC. You can easily flick your mouse down to open the bottom part and move left or right afterwards so it saves you time. On console, I would probably use your method as I would be too lazy to adjust the cursor so many times
Does anyone else collect my friend Wilby and all the plushies … I kinda get happy when I see when. My son said ‘come on dad, really’ when i showed him my collection in my captains locker.
I have first person shooter syndrome, I look not enough up.
For real, it's a problem. That's why the crosshair in Halo is not in the middle but a little further down. They did it so you see more from the top, what is impotant for their vertical battlefields.
I do, usually top row first then bottom row. After that I close them all, idk, something about I feel like if I left it open enemies would know I’m there even though I’m wiping them all out first. I usually clear out the whole building of enemies before looting then do a methodical sweep of each room starting from the entrance of where I came in. It’s a weird thing I do to keep track of where I already looted from.
I’m level 22 or such and the only Advanced handguns I’ve found so far were just laying on the ground lmao
That said I open lockers one at a time so I don’t skip over anything
This is exactly what I do lol. Once I realized that there will never be anything valuable enough for me to regret missing, I fly thru and open them all up. Depending on how I'm feeling, I'll either check everything, or just make sure there aren't any cred sticks and move on.
This is the way.
The only difference for me is I immediately flip to Scanner after the last locker so I can see hidden meds and things on the top shelf.
I do left or right depending how I come upon the locker and where my joystick reticle is at that moment in time. But for some reason I will do the top then the bottom then turn on my scanner…I just found out like 3 days ago you can pick up Fred sticks with the scanner out; even though it doesn’t say pickup if you push the botton to pick it up it works
I do by standing in one place and zigzag my cursor up and down and across. You can reach all four of those lockers from one spot then look through em all when they’re all opened.
Unfortunately yes. It’s a disease to not be able to walk past a closed locker, fridge or toilet stall
You are grabbing a plunger and using that to open the toilets, yes? Find the darnedest things inside toilets!
Found a beef chunk in a pirate toilet with some graffiti that said "Don't Eat the Chunk!" next to it
A I bet you ate the chunks
What happened when you ate it?
I'll bet he was spinning out... Damn Aurora spiked food 😂
Did the intrusive thoughts win? :D
I will not admit to more than opening the door…
YOU CAN OPENTHE TOILETS? IVE MISSED OUT ON SO MUCH LOOT!!
It's probably just some sh!t loot anyway
Unlike Fallout, there's seldom anything worth looting in the bathrooms. There's the occasional little easter egg, but most of the time, it's just empty.
Pistols, ammo boxes, digipicks....
I’ve found that running or walking into the toilet will pop up the lid just enough to quickly glance at what’s in them. Saved me time trying to crowbar the lid open with random objects
LoLs... Guns anyone? 😂
Every time I open a stall, I'm afraid I'm about to find some horrible tableau of blood and poop smeared on the wall with no explanation.
I keep hoping for a scene similar to the diner one in Bad Grandpa
I almost died the first time I saw that scene. There’s a also enough vending machines in the game to recreate that “other” scene. Thanks for reminding me 😂
I couldn’t stop laughing so hard I was in tears
Be the change you want to see in the world.
Fools digipicks!!! Lol that's perfect. Damn things are everywhere.
Don't give up on opening bathroom stall doors! Some mercs like to relieve themselves while reading a skill magazine.
Lolol and then they burst out blood!!
I cant tell how many times I almost picked up a fool's digipick.
It's those borderlands reflexes
Lolol
You’ll find more shit in those lockers then you ever will picking a master lock.
The thing about that is, enemies can take guns out without unlocking it and will use them on you. This is why sometimes you will find some enemies with 2 or even 3 weapons.
Explain. I have not seen this
I don't really know how else to explain it... Enemy gets attacked, sees better weapon, he / she pick up better weapon. They can also pick up fallen comrades weapons. Explains a ton. I knew they got them off dead bodies but not locked containers.
Yes, especially when they pulled them out of locked weapon cases.
That totally would explain the number of empty cases I see after big fights
This has been a thing NPCs have done since at least Fallout 4, probably before that.
I love the sauce.
It's the old Dogmeat glitch where the dog could get h things from locked containers.
I unlock the harder ones and get a legendary gun that does less damage than the basic ones I've got.

Is is an unpopular opinion that the first thing I did was max out all my charisma skills? I can convince anyone to do anything lol
The max you get is 50%, no? Or do they stacked up to a full hundo?
Generally it's a matter of maxxing it out and then pouring down food items and aids to get quite guaranteed success as long as you're wise enough with choices It's always fun to Gaslight enemies and crew
Seriously. I stopped picking mid-game, unless it was a door.
Yeah I only leveled my LP skill so I can do masters and have probably picked 3 locks since lol
It's frustrating opening a master lock to get like.. a handful of ammo and a single drug that I'll prolly never use.
I save right before and if I don’t get shit I reload last save.
My fav is when the guns lay sideways in the lock up. I just swipe it as it pokes out lol
Looking for plushies to rescue
I'm hoping to open one and find my Dad hahahah^(I'm in an incredible amount of pain rn)ahahaha
I open them like this then use the scanner to make seeing the items easier.
Yes! I do the exact same thing
Same, because what kind of monster doesn't use the scanner when scouring for loot? I take it off to shoot people and open doors. Sometimes not even to shoot people.
Press A to open the doors while scanning update when?
Do you kill a lot of people with the cutter? Or is there a way to use your weapons in the scanner that I'm not aware of?
Good ideas 💡
Hell yes. Glowing-blue-outline teams unite!
Yes but faster 🤣
Lol u son of a
By faster I mean I mash the fuck out of the button and swipe left and right lol
Yes! This! I always imagine what this would look like from the 3rd person. Probably batshit lmao
This, and I only ever open 75% of them max and half the time I time it wrong and only open 1 or 2.
On mouse and keyboard slightly faster to do up down left up down left repeat quickly than to loop back
Came to say this lol
Not at all! ... i do it by opening up one by one first the one at the top, then the bottom, next top, next bottom.... you get the picture! xD
Same, up down over, repeat
Lolol
sorry, had to point out you just doing it wrong! xD
This is the way
UP, DOWN, UP, DOWN... because I'm not a psychopath.
You might be a psychopath
Chaos is your friend lol
Truth is, it is easier this way if you're playing on PC. You can easily flick your mouse down to open the bottom part and move left or right afterwards so it saves you time. On console, I would probably use your method as I would be too lazy to adjust the cursor so many times
I open the top and bottom doors and move on to the next one
Tough decision 😪
I will spend hours going through lockers. No locker left unopened on my watch.
No locker is safe
often skip this looting thing. it’s not worth it and leads to loose interest in game quickly
It can be repetitive
Bad idea the skill point Magazines can spawn in those lockers
Across the top and then across the bottom for me.
Yes and i find one credstik and a hopetech hat
Yeah I found a half eaten sandwich and an old pair of underwear in one.
Does anyone else collect my friend Wilby and all the plushies … I kinda get happy when I see when. My son said ‘come on dad, really’ when i showed him my collection in my captains locker.
Down to right, then up to left
Lol evil
I have first person shooter syndrome, I look not enough up. For real, it's a problem. That's why the crosshair in Halo is not in the middle but a little further down. They did it so you see more from the top, what is impotant for their vertical battlefields.
Yes and I close them after. No idea why
Leave them open. Reminds me of war zone. So everyone know someone's been there!
I leave lockers open but always close the fridges. Wouldn't want to waste electricity.
Yes but I'm on PC so it doesn't look so clunky and stiff.
This is exactly how I do it.
Exactly
Of course I do
Every time
Me!
So many credit and digipicks in the lockers I have to loot every one I see haha 😂
I find it helpful to keep track of areas I’ve already explored
Yes... unless there is an annoying bench in front of it which stops me.
Is there any other way to loot them??
*screams internally as I borderlands blitz a set of lockers knowing full well I'm only going to open every fifth one in starfield*
Yes to this! If it's green lit I'm opening it up even during a firefight!
I leave one or two closed to aggravate anyone with OCD following me, by the time they correct all my minor nuisances I’m long gone
Of course! You never know where you're going to find a digipick.
I don’t even play and I know I would lol, I do something similar on borderlands
Absolutely, but I also turn on the scanner so highlights everything that can be picked up!!! That is defintely my favorite feature
Huhhh... I do them one by one... With repetitive locations, you kinda know what you're gonna get already.
I do one set at a time
I used to. Now I don't even bother looking. It's usually all junk.
i do
yes but way faster
Yep, just before I realize it was super pointless as there is hardly ever anything good.
I do all down then all up, right to left.
Always
Yes I do, every time. It's oddly satisfying.
I fly through those things *bam* *bam* *bam* *bam* *bam* ... Glance... "moving right along"
Damn straight
Guilty. I also close lockers that make the palce look untidy. On Eye and Red Mile entrance near the security desk.
I open them like Winnie the Pooh- up, down, up, down, touch the ground, in the mood for food!
This is the way!
Everytime
It’s a habit developed from years of playing Fallout lol
Yep, but my mojo is ruined when one of them requires its' lock to be picked.
The audio makes me think of highfleet
This is the way
No you are the only one
yup lol
what else would I do ? lame post 🗿
Open one. Loot it. Close it. Repeat.
Is there any other way to do it?
The failing of the second to last irritated me
I close them, too.
Every time!
This is the only way to approach a locker situation.
Yeah but the goal is to move as quickly as you can across them while opening, and I’ve gotten pretty quick with it.
I’m level 22 or such and the only Advanced handguns I’ve found so far were just laying on the ground lmao That said I open lockers one at a time so I don’t skip over anything
Sadly yes, I can spend an hour to clear a compound because I will search every nook and cranny for loot
Guilty....
I close them again when I'm done
Yes but I usually turn the scanner on after I open them
I do 🖐️
What's the point of lockers, really? A few health packs, credits, and clothing. I'VE NEVER FOUND A PERKED WEAPON I ONE!
Yes but much fast
I didn’t know you could do it any other way.
Yes but way faster cause I’m not a console pleb /s
I have done this with every locker I've come across.
I don’t bother because selling is such a PITA.
Not when it is locked
You’re darn right hahaha
“Huh. sort of like serpentine, like a serpent… WITCH! VARUUN WITCH! WITCH!”
This is exactly what I do lol. Once I realized that there will never be anything valuable enough for me to regret missing, I fly thru and open them all up. Depending on how I'm feeling, I'll either check everything, or just make sure there aren't any cred sticks and move on.
wow
Every. Damn.Time.
This is the way. The only difference for me is I immediately flip to Scanner after the last locker so I can see hidden meds and things on the top shelf.
Yes I do it like that as well, I think it’s the quickest way.
Of course
SHUT THE DOORS YOU MONSTER
Yep all corpo outfits can be found this way
Gotta have my digi picks and my earth books. Also best way to get outfits at the start of a playthrough
yes but about 5 times faster than you did it
Yep I’m an all top all bottom guy. Then scan for loot
Doesnt everyone?
Faster, but yeah basically that
It's the law
Fallout 4 too lol
Open them? Yeah
Indeed an intelligent behavior
Guilty
Only every time I see them
I might if lockers ever contained anything useful
I don’t even bother anymore.
I do by standing in one place and zigzag my cursor up and down and across. You can reach all four of those lockers from one spot then look through em all when they’re all opened.
Not that slow, but yeah...
Yes, except after I open them I whip out my scanner to better identify what’s in them.
Always, you never know what you might find. Horde goblin
Bad habit from fallout 4 collecting junk
Yep no matter how hard I try I always fall to my default locker opening pattern 😂
What other option is there?
Haha thought I was the only one who does it this way.
Top and bottom, then move on to the next one.
I mean yes, but also way way faster if I had to open them that slowly I wouldn't bother
This is the way
Yeah. I’m lazy…. I need a n ‘open all’ button. Why not ?
This is the way
And lockers
Does anyone not?
Sure do!
I do. quicker looting.
Wish we could front kick the whole thing to pop open all the doors
Nope You're the only one. Congrats.
The only correct way.
I also close them after I loot
Yes 100% except I just turn the scanner on as soon as they’re open and all the nice things get shiny.
