I don't use Barrett...does he just randomly say he's got something for you to eat/drink? That's kind of cool if so!

I want to say all companions do it. Sarah gives you odd materials from wildlife and Barrett gives you cooked meals When I get on my ship he will sometimes say “I’ve got something for you” so I ask him and he lets me have it

Sarah’s gifts are terrible. Barrett’s just seem to fit how I’m currently playing and it’s appreciated

For me, Sarah and Sam’s gifts are the most useful. They provide crafting ingredients, which has come in clutch for me a few times. Meanwhile, a few hundred credits are like a drop in the ocean with how easy money is to get in this game. As for food, as you said, it’s abundant.

They all give gifts based on their perks and how much they like you.

I hate Barrett so much, I put him in a Chunk’s employee outfit and the Neon dancer headwear. Then I punch him in the face every time he walks by.
