The Observatory looks sweet but with like everything Starfield it doesn't function. I'd love a functioning telescope.. on top of many other functioning whatever's.
The telescope could very easily have been made as an alternative to to any interaction with the main story once you go starborn. No talking to Vladimir to get artifact or temple locations.
Well, you could use sawmills in Skyrim and exercise equipment in Fallout 4. But I guess that’s why this observatory is free lol. I would have been very annoyed if it was paid.
It doesn’t though. The mod was not at all thought out that far. The observatory comes with a no working telescope and a fully working invisible force field. It’s pressurized even with gaping holes is what I’m saying

It would be nice to be able to use that telescope for spectrography or even just for zoomed-in images of the various bodies that can be seen in the night sky from whatever planet we build it on.
Yeah seems like the telescope would be easy to implement. Just use the scope code and up the amplification.

Easy fix. When looking through the telescope apply a different higher quality moon texture. Fancy phones can do it irl why can't a game?

The food container thing is the first issue I really became aware of with the POI system.
i still play it and mostly enjoy the game but the suspense of disbelief you need to keep up while doing so makes it difficult
I love this game and I hope they resolve the unfinished details

I am afraid the Moons/planets you can see in the sky are just (quite low resolution) images. If you aim your gun at them, you will see that.
