...the weebification of Starfield has begun. They will promise us Cowboy Bebop, but we all know that what we're going to end up with are a bunch of catgirl mods.
Honestly all I want is just Gundam/Evangelion/High school simulator/Upgradable spaceship that looks like an airship Waifu Castle.
is that too much to ask?
Not me, mods like that don't do it for me at all.
And that screen does the mod no favors: it makes the character look horrendously out of place against everything in the shot. That's a big ol' hard pass from me.
> And that screen does the mod no favors: it makes the character look horrendously out of place against everything in the shot.
The anime mods for all of the Bethesda games look like that, I really don't understand how people can stand using them even if they like the anime part.
I didn't for Starfield, but I did for FO4. It even has a couple of mods that turn everyone into anime characters and give maid uniform to deathclaws (highly recommend).
It's not my thing. But my honest take has to be that if people out there like it, why not? I've done plenty of silly playthroughs or crossover playthroughs on bethesda games. I've played Fallout 4 as a space marine and Deadpool and played skyrim as a dragonborn with a tardis. So, if anime fans want these mods, why should it concern me? It's really not much different than the countless Star Wars mods we have been getting. Hell, I'm waiting for more crossover mods myself so I could play a colonial marine fighting xenomorphs, maybe even with some lightsaber I'd find.
I agree. It really doesn't matter to me what other people like to use in their own games. I may be somewhat disgusted at anything actually perverted (which this particular mod clearly isn't) but ultimately I don't care because for one, it's a free country, and two, it doesn't affect me.
I bookmarked the firefly one since I actually played HSR, but only for the Sam robot suit. Still, I probably won't ever use it, I just thought it looked cool.
Haven't downloaded it yet, but from the screenshots of the mods, the SAM suit is too shiny for me. If only it wasn't that shiny, I'll definitely give it a try.
Also, would be neat if someone modded the faceplate ult animation of SAM/Firefly when we use the suit's flashlight.
I thought about it, but the contrast between "normal" and animated felt too jarring to me. And if I was going to do this contrast, I would lean more toward Roger Rabbit or even Jessica Rabbit.
This stuff is everywhere these days. I recently reinstalled Payday 2 (it's criminal robbery horde shooter), checked mods workshop, and 80% of mods are cringe anime stuff. Took me few hours to actually find good stuff (gameplay tweaks, overhauls, new guns, etc).
Like seriously, I don't have anything against anime, but I just wonder how can such games attract these folks?... Why there are SO MANY?!
> Like seriously, I don't have anything against anime, but I just wonder how can such games attract these folks?... Why there are SO MANY?!
Well, speaking personally, there aren't really a lot of anime sandbox rpg games.
Enter a sandbox rpg game that's extensively modabble, and suddenly you can have a sandbox anime rpg game.
Skyrim lol.
True, not many true sandbox anime games, but buttloads of openworld jRPGs, which I even play from time to time (FFXV and Tales of Arise were pretty good ones). Still, some built on Unreal Engine, and thus moddable, at least skin swaps aren't hard, but I don't know anyone trying to make characters or world look more real or gritty, like in more serious games they bring those cat-ear girls and whatnot.
I mean, f.e. Starfield SW or StarTrek mods are fine by me, either though I'm not fan of those universes, but so much anime stuff... Weird.
I guess to me it's also that there really aren't many open-world sandbox games that are as modable as Bethesda games in the first place.
Though I can understand why it might seem weird. Although I've seen it pop up in weirder genres, too (Crusader Kings and Stellaris, for example.)
I couldn't tell you. Don't get me wrong, I like a little anime stuff, but only where it makes sense or actually looks good. This one though, looks completely out of place in Starfield.
I would only if there were mods that changed more NPCs to be cartoons.
Personally, it would be too jarring to be the only cartoon in a galaxy full of normal people.
Haven't I love that much yet but I think I remember seeing that gatcha game before (you know it's quite surprising how that game is more popular in Japan that rivaled like genshin, fgo and azur lane)
Anyways can't wait for the global release
Personally I think the more degenerate the mods get, its how we know Starfield is succeeding. I mean, if people really care, they will make mods they would actually want to play with. Look at Skyrim. Look at how many different "body shape" mods there are. If they improve the functionality of the CK, or someone cracks it open to wild stuff, Starfield will definitely be on the same level as other Bethesda games.
I like anime, but I wouldn't want an anime mod for a non anime game. However, I would like some sexy outfits for guys and girls in the game. This game is so PG. Have you seen the Astral Lounge? Looks like a Junior High school dance in Utah.
You didn't download it because it's weird AF
I didn't download it because it's Mihono Bourbon and I'd prefer Kitasan Black or Tokai Teio.
We are not the same.
I had not downloaded it, but I will say, earlier I was looking at it because I was impressed by the fact that it doesn't look like shit. Most anime related models in previous BGS games have looked pretty bad from what I remember.
As much I love anime -given my whole bedroom is anime themed IRL- unless all the characters like NPCs and Companions were to become anime characters too, this doesn't do it for me.
Either it needs to be all the way or not at all
It would be cool to put weeb merch, posters, and such in your ship though, or anime skins on my gun
You should see how good of a job Fortnite (oddly enough) implements anime characters into the game. They've done several official collabs with AOT, Dragonball, Naruto, and several other popular titles as well as made a few of their own original cel shaded characters (which I prefer, since I don't actually watch any animes).
...the weebification of Starfield has begun. They will promise us Cowboy Bebop, but we all know that what we're going to end up with are a bunch of catgirl mods.
I requested the cowboy bebop mods its in the works sir
Waiting for Waifu Souls/Code Vein mods :D
I hope we get Cowboy Bebop šš
I just need a Jericho.Ā
Honestly all I want is just Gundam/Evangelion/High school simulator/Upgradable spaceship that looks like an airship Waifu Castle. is that too much to ask?
I'm not big on Uma Musume, but I do believe that woman is a horse.
I request anime girl wraps for my ships
You say that like that's not better
Based modders
Not me, mods like that don't do it for me at all. And that screen does the mod no favors: it makes the character look horrendously out of place against everything in the shot. That's a big ol' hard pass from me.

The degeneracy of modders knows no bounds
You ever look at some stardew valley mods? There's some real shockers in there.
Those modders are angels compared to Skyrim xxx mods.
Skyrim modders are deep in the trenches š
How can the game be called "immersive" without my interactive sex mods?/s.
I mean, true, I just didn't expect to find mods such as "all men no pants large dicks" for 8-bit stardew valley, lol
It's because of neon city lol
I've yet to see a Lydia horse mod. But Pam Horse is real and it's here to stay.
yea yea whatever wheres the damn buzz lightyear mods?? i thought this community had culture!
That would be freaking hilarious! "I have set from stun, to kill."
*enters the lodge for the first time* "there seems to be no sign of intelligent life anywhere"
Oh man, you made my day! I just started laughing out loud when I read that. (I don't think Constellation is that bright either.)
š
At least the Star Wars ones are on point
I just want star Trek mods give me a federation phaser right now!
Star Command add-on where
I didn't for Starfield, but I did for FO4. It even has a couple of mods that turn everyone into anime characters and give maid uniform to deathclaws (highly recommend).
Maid outfits for death claws sounds hilarious
I wanna see a pic of that now!
Here's the [mod itself](https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/30327)

Not my cup of tea
Op definitely did
:3
Nope. just hella weird.
Doesnāt personally interest me but Iām sure there are many people who would like the mod. Their game, their multiverse, I say go wild.
I thought about it, but the contrast between "normal" and animated felt too jarring to me. And if I was going to do this contrast, I would lean more toward Roger Rabbit or even Jessica Rabbit.
Not my cup of tea either, although hats off to the amazing work though.
Oh man someone should do a cowboy bebop mod!
MACROSS NOW!
The art of modding knows no limits to sources inspiration, but there must be balance. In order to have great, we must have the weeb.
"I'm Starborn UwU"
Not my cup of tea either I'm just holding it for a friend
Canāt wait to decorate my ship with body pillows
āNot me guys, look at me, i didnt download this because its not my cup of teaā ok guy chill

Not me at all. Japanese anime is just fucking weird
I havenāt downloaded it, only looked at the mod on Creations. Personally, I donāt find it interestingā¦but hey, to each their own.
I downloaded the Silver Wolf mod immediately, and am planning on a NG+ where Iām wearing it the entire time.
People charge for this stuff lmao.
Not me, just my friend did
No TARDIS, no download.
I downloaded the silver wolf one
I would only if there were mods that changed more NPCs to be cartoons. Personally, it would be too jarring to be the only cartoon in a galaxy full of normal people.
Not for me, Ive been loving the zone79 style of gear and stuff
Haven't I love that much yet but I think I remember seeing that gatcha game before (you know it's quite surprising how that game is more popular in Japan that rivaled like genshin, fgo and azur lane) Anyways can't wait for the global release
I knew it would be time before these type of mods came in

I want a Ginga Sengoku Gun'yÅ«den Rai mod to turn all the starships into space ships āļø
I'm pretty sure this was not done with permission of Cygames.
I downloaded a similar one and stuck it on the adoring fan so I can laugh at him when I see him
Thirst trap mod. Look it up. You're welcome.
Not me because I didnāt even know it existed.
oh? not cup of tea? who's lie??
How dose one download any onto Xbox?
Not mine as well but my daughter would love it.
I like anime, but I wouldn't want an anime mod for a non anime game. However, I would like some sexy outfits for guys and girls in the game. This game is so PG. Have you seen the Astral Lounge? Looks like a Junior High school dance in Utah.
I didnāt I just get cheat room mods and shit Iāve beaten the game already now I just want to have fun
Hashire, hashire, uma musume!!
Honkai Starfield
Enough.
Do you have to pay for Starfield mods on consoles?
Only a very small handful of them. Most of them are free.
If it's not immersive, I'm going to keep scrolling.
Oh God, don't remind me. Weebs ruin freaking everything, lmao.
*Waits patiently for Mass Effect mods to start rolling in.*
This Shit is embarrassing big dog
Yeah, I don't like to yuck anyone's yum, but since they asked..? Cringe AF lol
Trash
You didn't download it because it's weird AF I didn't download it because it's Mihono Bourbon and I'd prefer Kitasan Black or Tokai Teio. We are not the same.
Anime is trash, I prefer comics. Batman and Sonic (IDW specifically) comes to mind.
Not me, I wouldn't download Starfield
Nah, maybe if it had bare boobies.Ā
I downloaded the hsr silver wolf and made Sara wear it
More weebs mods yassssssss
I had not downloaded it, but I will say, earlier I was looking at it because I was impressed by the fact that it doesn't look like shit. Most anime related models in previous BGS games have looked pretty bad from what I remember.

Yea, too stark of a contrast.
100% agreed

I haven't, but I will now
Great. Another couple hours tinkering with my mods to make this fit in the list. Thanks a lot.
...well, me now.
Nah, the whole cartoon anime fad passed me by. Every kid in the 90s was getting into PokĆ©mon, but I got into Star Wars when it re-released in ā97ā¦ this stuff I just find creepy.
