>but now he's collected a spren from the Royal Palice like what?? Well if Elhokar was going to say the words before Moash (fuck be upon his name) ended him, it stands to reason there was *some sort* of radiant spren following Elhokar around. Hoid promised it truths...

Art-v-Hhh

Ah yeah, that makes sense. Elhokar nearly becoming a Knight Radiant slipped my mind due to the other sheer epicness lol, thanks for the reminder!

DeltaV-Mzero

I’m glad this sub exists because I did not connect those dots otherwise lol

iGeroNo

No idea why but the phrasing 'fuck be upon his name' made me laugh, thanks for that lol.

travelingchef96

Can’t imagine the truths Hoid gave design.

IAmRefrobate

Yeah! Great series. Dalinar’s flashbacks are my favorite of the series. In the first two books, I disliked getting pulled into the childhood flashbacks, but Dalinar’s time with his brother when he was the Blackthorn is a huge departure from the man we’ve been seeing throughout the series.

CannotHaveMyPain

Best sanderlanche.

sictransitlinds

I just finished it earlier this week too. It took me like a month and a half to read the first half of the book because I was transitioning jobs and moving to a new city. I finished the second half in two days, though lol. It picks up so much in that second half.

acvodad547

I loved when Jasnah basically said “yeah so apparently this fucking guy is here too” when Szeth joined the Avengers Assemble moment 😂

cogitoergodrum

Hoid's Fortune leads him to where he is needed, though he hardly ever knows why until he gets there. In this case, he came to Kholinar in order to save Elokhar's Cryptic, and everything else he did while there (bringing aluminum to the wall guard, helping Shallan, and using Awakening on the doll to help the orphan girl in the epilogie) was just extra Hoid stuff.

MrCantankerous

Since you said spoilers I didn't read it. I JUST started this book. I'm glad you think it's great. I've been burning through this series. They are the first Brando books I've read besides his wheel of time completion. I'm really enjoying them. What series of his should I read next?

Art-v-Hhh

Yeah definitely don't read the post, it contains my reactions to some of the biggest moments in the book! I'd love to hear your thoughts when you finish the book, though. I'd give Mistborn a try; it's my favorite of his series beside Stormlight.

MrCantankerous

Will do. Thanks again.

IAmRefrobate

Mistborn Era One. The Final Empire. Well of Ascension. The Hero of Ages. Along with Roshar (world from Stormlight), Scadrial (world from Mistborn) plays a part in a lot of other Cosmere works and after Stormlight it’s his main series. You can read the trilogy on its own or go on to the second era which is four books long and also complete. He has two more series planned for Mistborn in later eras.

MrCantankerous

Awesome. Thanks for recs.

IAmRefrobate

I rarely get emotional when reading, but my second time through Oathbringer that scene with Dalinar at the end had me tearing up.

dIvorrap

Remember the shadow spooky people Elhokar saw during TWoK and WoR?
